Team changes v QPR

Well, mate. Poor positioning, no pace, hoofing it all night, losing possession and making McAnuff look like a world class player. He was our worst player.. fact.

What did he do right?

Thats tosh mate. He stopped McAnuff getting through, he made some good balls either down the wing or over the top and usually found city players.

Ok maybe I was over the top saying he was MOTM but he didnt do that bad.

Who would you suggest played worse than McGiven then, as a matter of interest?

Nahh mate, what did McGivern do wrong ?

He got caught out of position on almost every attack, their players got behind him so many times I lost count.

I think he could be a good player, but until his positioning improves he shouldn't play again.

This is my first post on foxestalk so be nice!!! i think against QPR we need to be wary of a number of there players mainly taarbat, routledge and simpson. After watching mondays game i think we look weak at left back and right back so Morrison and Berner must be considered although i can see Neilson keeping his place (as he seems to be making some progress in becoming better then Maybury) . Also brown was great on monday but against pace he can sometimes struggle which kinda makes me think a holding mid like king may help out the back two. I also think we look more dangerous as a team with a big man little man combo upfront therefore i reckon fridays team should be...........

Weale

Morrison Hobbs Brown Berner

King

Oakley Wellens Gallagher

Kermo/Howard Fryatt

I feel bad for dropping Waghorn but i just think against QPR a bigger man up there that fryatt can play off would be better ideally kermo.........

So you are right & 99% of FT posters are wrong?

Sorry Milan, but young McGivern was given a right roasting last night. Berner needs to be brought back into the starting line up.

He never let McAnuff past him !

lol Im sorry but that is just wrong! McAnuff and the other lad who's name escapes me skinned him all night long

No i'm not trying it to sound like that, but I'm quite puzzled how I'm saying the opposite.

Its just my opinion anyway mate.

Oakley (playing in front of the back 4 to try and double up with Berner/Morrison) Routlidge is pacey and confident at the Mo.

N'Guesson (Right)

Wellens (Centre)

Gallagher (Left)

Howard

Fryatt

Not the Top team but will do a job away to 1 of the form teams. If you like him or not Howard does hold the ball up in good ares.

Subs Logan, Powell, Neillson, Waghorn, Cambell, Dyer, King

I'd like the team to have some pace, because the team vs Reading lacked it badly. No pace in midfield, and none in attack. That's fine, but it meant our counter attacks didn't go anywhere, and the long balls had no runners on.

Whether it's N'Guessan or Campbell, I don't care, but one of them should be in the line up, just to operate as an outlet for what could be a lot of QPR pressure in the City end.

Also, I'm not liking the Oakley and Gallagher on the wing. Always very off balance, surely some pacey players would be a better idea on the flank? I know N'Guessan isn't a great cross provider, but neither is Oakley, and Oakley will never rip a fullback.

I know it sounds ridiculous, but Kermorgant and Campbell played well in the reserves, and the way they play compliments each other. I'm not saying I want them to be playing against QPR but they could be a decent option (probably never happen).

I'd definitely say more use can be made of DJ. Most players in the Championship are easily marked given the will and reasonably competent opponents but DJ is a handful. No defence could afford to let their guard drop for an instant. Such a pity he's too quick even for the linesmen at times. They'll accept any excuse to wave their flags whether right or wrong.

Morrison_______Hobbs____________ Brown__________Berner

_______Oakley__________King________Wellens_________

____________________Gallagher____________

_________Howard________Waghorn_______

If Gallagher's going to float - like it or not he will, he's not got the discipline to stay wide - then give him that floating role, picking up loose stuff, knock downs and the like.

Fryatt needs a break. That chance on half time would have been nestling in the back corner of the net if he was in form and on the money. If Howard can be benched for a barren run then so can Matty. Waghorn will be better at picking up his flicks anyway.

If it was at home I'd have gone with natural wingers like Adams but we'll need to keep their midfield subdued so three in the middle will help do that.

I thought McGivern was MOTM aswell, made some important interceptions, and blocked a certain goal, there winger didn't have much joy against him!

Tip: You should have gone to Specsavers!
