I don't think McGivern tackled Kebe once when he came on. Berner has been one of our most consistent performers this season. I think the only reason McGivern has played the last 2 games is because Man City have been putting pressure on us to play him. If i was NP i'd tell Mark Hughes to F*$! Off.

Yes i was, and i got soaked near the end when it chucked it down. Had on a white Leic jacket

I know you! Well, I dont know you really but Ive seen you at games a lot. lol You were sat near us at Reading me and my Daughter were on the end of the row next to the steward and one away game last season (Tranmere?) did you go on your own? Im sure it was you who sat next to us, the steward kept feeding us Chocolate Eclairs all game and was really chatty? Might be getting confused but Im sure it was that game. I thought you were dead brave going on your own lol - If Im getting you confused with someone else ignore me its my age

Why has Nobody got McGivern in the teams?!?!?!

He had to keep up with Jobi Mcanuff, with his skill & pace and he hardly had a sniff past Ryan. Him and Nielson were my MOTM's yesterday.

Oh yeah, Oakleys Crap.

I have him in my team, he wasn't that bad.

And, ohh yes, to everyone putting Berner back in the side, McGivern cleared the ball off of the line otherwise Reading would have equalized. - When McAnuff hit the post and the ball rebounded, he hit the ball again and McGivern was on the line, the ball hit him and went for a corner.

McGivern wasn't that bad and any full back in the division, including Berner, would have struggled against Jobi McAnuff - when he plays, he can be one of the fastest, greatest and skillfullest wingers in the division.

Whoever plays full back against QPR will struggle. Their midfield is out of this world.

Clearing one ball off the line does not a good performance make!

Berners been consistantly one of our best players this season... McGiven isnt a patch on him. I fear for us if he plays against QPR.

Berner

Brown

Hobbs

Neilson

Dyer

Oakley

Wellens

N'Guessan

Waghorn

Fryatt

Bench: Logan, McGivern, Morrison, Adams, King, Gallagher, Howard

My team right there. We need wingers to counteract theirs.

Berner has been good, not every game though.

Remember that was only McGiverns second game.... no excuse I know because he is a professional footballer but I don't think he was as bad as what everyone is making out.

And, I fear if Berner or McGivern plays against QPR.

Certain elements of his game were good, his positioning was as bad as people are making out though.

---------------- Weale ---------------

Neilson -- Hobbs -- Brown -- Berner

---------------- King -----------------

------- Oakley ------- Wellens ------

-------------- Gallagher --------------

------- Waghorn ------ Fryatt -------

I think that's both realistic and effective. The worst thing about it is the lack of width but I think adding N'Guessan would create more problems than it solves. It really needs Fryatt and Waghorn to provide the width and stretch the defence, with Gallagher in a slightly deeper central role, somewhere I think he could be very dangerous

I've been thinking about mine and I reckon the criticism is right, we will need more width to protect our full backs and nullify the QPR wingers.

Here's my modified one:

---------------- Weale ---------------

Neilson -- Hobbs -- Brown -- Berner

Oakley -- Wellens -- King -- Dyer

------- Gallagher ------ Fryatt -------

Would rather drop Waghorn and bring him on later in the game. Harsh given he scored on Monday but necessary given the opposition. This will also give Gallagher a chance to play up front.

Surprised to see a few dropping King, I think we'll need him on Friday.

everyone loves to jump on the bandwagon and slate oakley.

hes our captain, hes got quality and we need him to be playing well if we want a good shout at getting promoted

the fact is no matter how much people slag him off, he got the assist against QPR

case closed in my opinion

Neilson - Hobbs - Brown - Berner

N'Guessen - Oakley - Wellens - Dyer

Waggy - Gally

Simple. No square pegs. In form strikers, no target man, real wingers, real full backs.

That looks good to me. I'd have Gallagher playing deeper than Waghorn, almost in an attacking midfield role. I think a "free" role would suit Gally, but certainly not stuck out on the wing as he has been so far.

Won't hurt to "rest" Matty for a game or two as he hasnt had the best month to be fair. Oakley back in the middle where he's more effective and Berner back in for McGivern is a must.

There isn't a 'bandwagon'

He's just been playing poor all season, giving the ball away and consistently wasting corners and free kicks, granted we actually scored from a corner against QPR but one assist from a corner when he's wasted 30+ corners and free kicks this season so far isn't going to cut it.

One thing I think we can be sure of unless there's injury or illness Oakley, King & Wellens will all start.

See these highlights:

0.28- Loses out going for header, ends up out of position, Mcanuff gets a chance.

1.05- Loses his man who lobs it offer him for Mcanuff, who then hits the post, lucky deflection of McGivern stops a goal.

2.37- Mcanuff has his fooking pants down and just runs past him with the ball, before crossing and almost another goal.

And thats just what they showed in 4 minutes of BBC highlights.

Anuff had Givern in his pocket :P

Here's the games when McGiverns played:

v Crystal Palace 2-0

v Reading 1-0

2 cleansheets out of 2 isn't that bad, and you go on about it being a 'lucky deflection' when he purposley ran in the way of McAnuff in order to block it, which he did.

Is he the new Nielson on here or something? Give him a break.

I was merely pointing out to milan that he wasn't MOTM.

Berner has played fantastic all season, thats the main reason people are calling McGivern so early.

Yes he ran in the way, i would have done that if i was on the pitch, but for it to hit the inside of his leg like it did, he certainly didn't know where the ball was going to end up and it could have easily gone in. It was his poor defending that allowed Mcanuff to hit the post in the first place.

Berner has been awesome so should play.

Fair enough.

Berner has been one of our best performers this season, I prefer him over McGivern but he didn't do anything THAT bad.

Don't start the 'if i was playing' rubbish, he did well to make up for his error. Just like Hobbs did the week before against Derby.

It's all down to personal opinions at the end of the day mate, I just don't see any reason for him to be dropped.

I love Berner by the way.

Well as a sportsperson myself, it's pretty obvious to move somewhere in the way of the goal to block it, when you know you have no other option :P

Berner back in definitely. McGiven looked a right nightmare on Monday.

Did anyone think Berner should have had a freekick near the end when he cut inside on the edge of the box? Berner hasn't put a foot wrong this season, get him back in.

Although its from the BBC highlights, you forgot to include the bit where McGivern cleared the ball off of the line, otherwise it would have been 1-1.

Someone always gets slated, whether Leicester win 6-0 or lose 6-0.
