Ashley Posted 28 October 2009 Posted 28 October 2009 After many debates on how were doing this season I thought i'd look at the league table from this time last year, it makes interesting reading. This time last year. This year.
leftsideoverhere Posted 28 October 2009 Posted 28 October 2009 So this time next year we will be fourth in the premiership, yes?
Guest Posted 28 October 2009 Posted 28 October 2009 So this time next year we will be fourth in the premiership, yes? I like your thinking my friend
Alf Bentley Posted 28 October 2009 Posted 28 October 2009 So this time next year we will be fourth in the premiership, yes? 2009-10: 5th in the Championship 2010-11: 4th in the Premiership 2011-12: 3rd in the European Super League 2012-13: Runners-up in Club World Cup 2013-14: Winners of the inaugural Solar System Trophy (on away goals v. Uranus United) 2014-15: Masters of the Universe, just as it stretches to the max and pings back to Armageddon via a reversal of the Big Bang (that's right, isn't it, scientists?)....What a way to go!

Guest Bilo Posted 28 October 2009 Posted 28 October 2009 Joking aside, it shows that we've made a good start again and how important that can be. We had the momentum in August from a very successful season last year and haven't really lost it, the confidence must still be running throughout the team as we prove we can be competitive at this level. Long may the comparisons with last season be relevant.
leftsideoverhere Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 I was under 30 Oh God! I was under 40! On the other hand, I hadn't discovered foxestalk yet...
GloverFox Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 So it's not too bad at the moment really ... no, it's now really bad? ... how big is the cup for 'Masters of the Universe' ... bigger handles than the FA cUP i REckON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh boy ... lost the plot!!!! whilst overly premature, dreaming about being back in the Prem is great ... let's just not break the Bank/Club trying to achieve it?
Guest Bilo Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 I was still classed as a 'young person' in MORI polls, a young driver by insurance companies and could have entered the 16-24 category in X Factor if I could sing. Now I'm a mature adult, experienced driver and would have to plump for the 25 and overs in Cowell's phone fest. Bastard.
Koke Posted 29 October 2009 Posted 29 October 2009 Now I'm a mature adult, experienced driver and would have to plump for the 25 and overs in Cowell's phone fest. Bastard. Nowt mature about me. I was 24 this time last year, and I'm still the same immature inexperienced driver who doesn't know his elbow from his arse. Hopefully I'll mature fully when I'm 30.
