bald reynard Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 With Leeds (almost) declaring an interest to buy Maxie on a permanent deal in January, do people think we should sell him ? I, for one, don't and also think he should be currently playing for us (we desperately need width on the right, from a naturally right sided player). He's a quality player with loads of potential (admittedly, mostly yet unfulfilled), I'd hate some other club to benefit (and especially Leeds !). I also doubt we'd get that much money for him anyway.
haraven Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 Keep. And loan out if he is not good enough..
lou Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 Dont think Leeds will offer anything decent for him so Id rather keep him
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 I decide that I could't decide so chose all three.
Edmund Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 Didn't we have this exact same thread (with poll) a week or two back
Babylon Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 Stringer on twitter "am I the only one thinking a Beckford/Gradel + cash swap deal could be on the cards.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 still think he can do well for us, but the experience he is getting at Leeds is good for him at the moment.
NewquayFox Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 Agree with Babylon, swap him for Beckford and have some cash of Leeds too. ;0)
Guest ttfn Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 Agree with Babylon, swap him for Beckford and have some cash of Leeds too. ;0) Beckford's a **** - no thanks
Ozwin Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 Stringer on twitter "am I the only one thinking a Beckford/Gradel + cash swap deal could be on the cards. That is exactly what I was thinking last night. Doubt it'd happen but it would be brilliant.
lavrentis Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 He'd only ever come if we actually got promoted as Leeds look a cert for promotion.
Vlad The Impaler Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 I'd get him back here and on the bench. He's only an impact player at best in my eyes though, would prefer to have N'Guessan, Adams, Dyer or Gallagher on the wings tbh.

Bert Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 Loan him out until the end of the season. Let him win League One again, mature even more as a player and then come back to us.
Asha Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 As someone who was pretty much Gradel obsessed a couple of months back....now, I really couldn't give a fuck. Sell him, whatever. Overrated.
Nick Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 Loan him out until the end of the season. Let him win League One again, mature even more as a player and then come back to us. That was my first thought, Bert, but then I just kinda asked myself if I thought, if he is now or will ever be, a fantastic Championship player... and I just feel that while a big club with money want him in League 1, I'd sell him whilst he's in demand. He's a solid League 1 player - I admit though it is tempting to keep him but I'm just not sure to what end.
Fatbloke Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 definately would keep Max with us, he COULD become a very good player, as to play, sub or loan out, up to Nigel (thank god) would hate to make such decisions.
Guest Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 If we're still up around top 6 by Jan I wonder whether Nige would be tempted to sell in order to part finance any new players that may help us immediately in getting promoted? Ideally I'd like to keep him and loan him out again, but I trust Nige to make the right decision
willchafer Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 my initial reaction was sell him, but have we really seen him play in the championship yet? we should call him back...and piss off leeds. where we can see what he is like then make decision.
Finnegan Posted 26 November 2009 Posted 26 November 2009 As someone who was pretty much Gradel obsessed a couple of months back....now, I really couldn't give a fuck. Sell him, whatever.Overrated. lol. So a couple of months back, when he wasn't playing, you thought he was brilliant but now he's gone off and proved himself at a table-topping side you think he's overrated? Some people are too ilogical to be allowed to have opinions.
Guest Posted 26 November 2009 Posted 26 November 2009 We could bring him back just to force Leeds to make a decent offer.
