lou Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Did they? Im sure they said he had a poor game?? Might be me being dumb though? <_< One of them definately said he thought the ref had a decent game after because I was nearly apopleptic with rage! 3 pennos turned down doesnt make a good game to me!
Asha Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 One of them definately said he thought the ref had a decent game after because I was nearly apopleptic with rage! 3 pennos turned down doesnt make a good game to me! If any of those debatable penos were for Bristol, and were given, we'd have all been outraged.
lou Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 If any of those debatable penos were for Bristol, and were given, we'd have all been outraged. Well I was bedridden so didnt see them but everyone at work reckoned they were stonewall pens..... as did the Radio
dandannieldanok Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 If any of those debatable penos were for Bristol, and were given, we'd have all been outraged. I too can't really see what the ref did wrong, debatable decisions went both ways but unsurprisingly fans only see it one way. The ref had one big call to make, Waghorn's red card, and he got it spot on.
The Doctor Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 If any of those debatable penos were for Bristol, and were given, we'd have all been outraged. first one was stonewall. keeper comes out, doesn't get the ball, trips the striker. Penalty every day of the week except apperently tuesday. other two were debateable but the refs performance was poor. not the poorest i've seen but to trust the lino infront of the west stand on those offsides despite the striker behind OUR goal side of at least 3 defenders every time beggers belief. They're there to assist you on desicisions you haven't seen clearly dammit. thats why they've been renamed ASSISTANT REFEREES, you don't have to take them at their every word.

He bottled it as did lino despite giving either other glances like a young couple or alteratively, myself with this almighty MILF today.

Third one = Was right right in front of me and it clearly hit his hand.
Koke Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 First penalty looked stonewall to me. And plus, a couple of the offside decisions against Waghorn & N'Guessan was very suspect tbh. It doesn't change the fact that we were utterly shite and Bristol City thoroughly deserved all 3 points.

That's fair enough but if the penalty was given and we had got the first goal it could easily have been a completely different story. Such is life, we have to move on and destroy Wednesday on Saturday.
Filbert_Ross Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 not seen the goal again, but that 2nd one looked to be travelling really slow through the air and Weale seem to have a clear view of it all the way- blamed Mcgiven is dogshit
The Doctor Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 yeah but to be fair we havent lost be the odd goal we have conceded 8 and pearson has made some odd decisions, like leaving fryatt on the bench! not being funny but u have to stick by ur top goalscorer! proved his point to pearson by scoring when coming on. couldn't be anything to do with the fact he has played alot of games this season and we have several games in quick succesion (6 games in 23 days - almost 1 every 4 days)
Guest Mee-9 Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 How many of you expected us to be in the top 6 this season? Hardly any, I'd say. The majority would be happy with a top half finish. We're currently just 2 points off third place and one position out of the play-offs. Anything above 22nd is progress this season, and we've made huge steps already so far, just look at where Peterborugh and S****horpe are compared to us. If you expect us to go unbeaten all season long, then you're either deluded, naive, or both. Granted, we've been piss poor in the last two games and to me, It'd be a much bigger concern if we weren't 7th. It only takes one good result in this league to turn things around. The staff and the players will be doing their utmost to make sure that this happens as soon as possible. Even the best teams go through blips. Last night, we started off much better. We were done not only by a poor performance, but 2 wonder goals, a counter-attack with 5 on 1, and three incompetent officials. We didn't get any breaks last night at all, everything went for them. I didn't actually think they were that good. Our heads dropped as soon as that first goal went in, and after being pasted on Saturday the next goal was going to be crucial. The next goal came, and debatably shouldn't have been allowed, but it was and it was a fantastic goal. Bristol could see our heads dropped and after going in 2-0 at half time, they came out and just stroked the ball about. Speaking of stroking, I think the ref was a stroker. Our main problem was no-one seemed up for the fight. No-one stuck their neck out. They just got on with it like nothing had happened. To the people that were booing, which was probably acceptable, now we know you have a voice, on Saturday how's about cheering the team on? This
Guest Mee-9 Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 Maybe but the Asst. Ref in front of the West Stand was shocking, slow and obviously fat and unfit to keep up with the play. Waghorn was simply too fast for him. He looked like he'd been in Maccy d's before the game, along side a number of our players.
harpendenfox Posted 10 December 2009 Posted 10 December 2009 a little whisper, which may just be tittle-tattle, to suggest that there might have been some unsettling incident over the last 10 days which might explain our lack of fight, if not the results. Two losses in a row, well, it happens. Two thrashings out of context with the rest of the season, just seems a little strange. Hopefully, as I say, it is just tittle tattle. Maybe those closer to the Club than I am could confirm that they haven't heard similar tittle-tattle. Up the City
