DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 All this result proves, is what I have already said. Mediocre team, and a mediocre manager, who doesn't know how to sort his problems out. He is still sitting with his head up his arse, apparently clueless as to how to improve on last season. The players should be ashamed of themselves. Their approach and skill level, has now reached zero tolerence. What a spineless bunch of misfits we have proved to be of late. Our confidence has evaporated. Can't see M.M. putting any money up front in the January window now, and who could blame him?

Can't see M.M. putting any money up front in the January window now, and who could blame him? It's more likely that he would put money in so we can get better players maybe?? Unless he wants to stick with the same players that have only lost 2 games and have had every ounce of confidence drained from them from the boo-boys all around the place??

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Absolute shit perfomrance again last night and again a lot of the blame goes to NP. The team selection was wrong again. Berner has one poor game and is dropped, whilst I would have rather seen Morrrison and Hobbs in the middle with Neilson playing. Brown was again woeful partly to the fact they were a quick team and his distribution was awful. Wellens was shite agiain with lazy passing and just hit and hope a lot of the time, and it is about time Oakley was playing in the middle with him or the ever anonymous Andy King. N'Guessan, despite being played on the wrong side looked our best player, so what does NP do? He subs him off! Pace is needed so Dany must start on the right with DyerAdams on the left. Fryatt looked good when we came on but it is a question who does he play with now on Saturday. For me it has to be Howard who I feel should be given a second chance after losing his place a while back. Come on NP sort it out.

We are 7th, two points off third place, so it's not too bad overall is it?
Matt Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 I know 5-1 against local rivals and all that, and I suppose it's wasn't as bad because I don't see Forest as a local rival to me personally (All down to location - As I explained in the "Who do you/We hate more" thread), But did last night hurt people more than Saturday? It did for me. We were awful Saturday and it was obviously a bigger loss, I think it's probably more of a combination of both that has really annoyed me but last night I was seriously pissed off, Saturday I just took it on the chin and hoped for improve, as the case was not last night.
Ultra Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 So are you not happy about sitting 7th in the table? Why should he be, when the last two performances show all the signs of a side in freefall?
StanSP Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Why should he be, when the last two performances show all the signs of a side in freefall? We'll be in freefall when we've lost more than 2 games in a row. If we lose about 5,6 or 7 in a row, then all these moaners have a right to moan, but after 2 games, not quite. I guess some people have more patience than others.
Matt Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Why should he be, when the last two performances show all the signs of a side in freefall? There you are then, It's the performances, we're all not happy with. 7th? I'm very happy with, as I said last night my expectations have been higher due to our good form prior to the last 2 games but it still remains the same in that I would be happy to finish 13th or above, We're no-where near the end of the season anyway. If it does turn out us going into freefall and we drop below and finish below 13th that is when I personally will be unhappy with league position, I can't speak for everyone and their aims/expectations for the season, but that's my personal view. For the moment its the last 2 performances and results - Which have been worse than our relegation season, and I don't think that is any exaggeration.

MrSpaM Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 We need to start playing Adams again. Much like Waghorn he seems to put everything into his game, has pace, can beat players and i really don't understand why he's barely played this season. Everyone bangs on about us trying to get Cleverly back, Adams looks just as promising, he just never gets a chance to prove it. I'd rather we played him on the wing than Oakley any day.

Still only 2 games. By the sounds of it, our team didn't really get a chance to prove themselves given that they were getting booed even when one misplaced pass happened. There's never going to be a game where everything goes perfectly i.e. every chance is scored and every pass is inch-perfect. The fact that most fans boo every single time even when things go well for us show how fickle they are. And about Fryatt, I've always supported him, just like I've always supported Pearson, and I'll carry on doing so until things get REALLY bad. Right now it's just a blip, and the sooner we get behind our team the better.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 You really are an Oxygen thief aren't you?.How is this the same?. MON had been at Leicester about 5 games when that happened, NP has been here for about 70-75 games! Plenty long enough to at least know his best team and formation. The QPR game was the blip, the rest is normal. Yes, Were in a fooking new league you jackass. You need to stop bragging like your e-cocks as big as daggers. It's huge trust me;) What do you expect? A 46 game streak where we win against the likes of Newcastle. To be honest mate, we ain't playing Yeovil and Oldham like last year. NP is doing a great job. If you want to win every game, or be at the top of the league, go support Newcastle, WBA, or even Man utd or chelsea. NEW CHANT: EI EI EI O Samuel is a twat you know When he posts on foxestalk this is what we sing Fook off samuel Fook off samuel Nigel Pearsons king. Cheers Maddog
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Technically, 24th place would be an improvement on last season. We are 7th, two points off third place, so it's not too bad overall is it? Now that is a superb statement and says it all. Yes we are just about one place higher, technically, than last season. No, not in position, but quality.
Bert Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 How many of you expected us to be in the top 6 this season? Hardly any, I'd say. The majority would be happy with a top half finish. We're currently just 2 points off third place and one position out of the play-offs. Anything above 22nd is progress this season, and we've made huge steps already so far, just look at where Peterborugh and S****horpe are compared to us. If you expect us to go unbeaten all season long, then you're either deluded, naive, or both. Granted, we've been piss poor in the last two games and to me, It'd be a much bigger concern if we weren't 7th. It only takes one good result in this league to turn things around. The staff and the players will be doing their utmost to make sure that this happens as soon as possible. Even the best teams go through blips. Last night, we started off much better. We were done not only by a poor performance, but 2 wonder goals, a counter-attack with 5 on 1, and three incompetent officials. We didn't get any breaks last night at all, everything went for them. I didn't actually think they were that good. Our heads dropped as soon as that first goal went in, and after being pasted on Saturday the next goal was going to be crucial. The next goal came, and debatably shouldn't have been allowed, but it was and it was a fantastic goal. Bristol could see our heads dropped and after going in 2-0 at half time, they came out and just stroked the ball about. Speaking of stroking, I think the ref was a stroker. Our main problem was no-one seemed up for the fight. No-one stuck their neck out. They just got on with it like nothing had happened. To the people that were booing, which was probably acceptable, now we know you have a voice, on Saturday how's about cheering the team on?
maddog Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 We're going to win easily Saturday and come out with fight. At least i hope we do, i thought that about yesterdays game. Even when we went 1-0 down i said to my mate we're still going to win this, even when we were 2-0 down i said we will score before half time and get something here. I thought we had all the play first half, most of the possession, a load of corners, a load of half and quarter chances and would score. Then they suddenly get forward and have the best chance of the game saved by Weale, we continue to dominate, they get forward for a 2nd time and score, then they get forward for a 3rd time and score again, it was just not our day. Had that blatant penalty been given we would have probably scored 1st and won, it was so unlucky, and what about the clear corner fatty didn't give either. I was just highly confident we would bounce back after Forest. Now i'm highly confident we will win Saturday, and this time i won't be totally wrong.
Asha Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 To be honest, I thought the referee had quite a decent game. Annoys me when the fans all scream and call the ref a cunt and the like when it was deservedly a foul or whatever for them. At Forest the ref was shit, but I don't think we can really blame the ref at all for yesterday.
Narborough Bod Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Our main problem was no-one seemed up for the fight. No-one stuck their neck out. They just got on with it like nothing had happened. Don't understand what all of the fuss is about, a £19k attendance for a friendly is pretty good isn't it. just checking, it was a friendly wasn't it?, judging by the passion / desire of the players. And we did play a 4-0-2 formation or did I just miss our midfielders? Can someone explain to me the sense in bringing Adams on at 3-0 down, with a minute to go in injury time...bizarre. But Adams did bury the waterbottle into the dugout, get that passion onto the pitch son!!

CosbehFox Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 I don't know why but I just think there's something deeper wrong with the unit. There was no fight, no leadership or passion. Appears to me there's been a bit of a bust-up somewhere. Why is Adams always ignored? Why is Oakley always playing? Why has Wellens fell to crap? Why has Morrison turned into a moaning shite?
davieG Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 To be honest, I thought the referee had quite a decent game.Annoys me when the fans all scream and call the ref a **** and the like when it was deservedly a foul or whatever for them. At Forest the ref was shit, but I don't think we can really blame the ref at all for yesterday. Maybe but the Asst. Ref in front of the West Stand was shocking, slow and obviously fat and unfit to keep up with the play. Waghorn was simply too fast for him.
