To be fair most people (including me) wanted Fryatt dropped for this one and from what I heard as I wasnt there tonight it didnt work. If he hadnt dropped him hed have got slagged off too.

I wasnt well enough to go tonight so dont know what went wrong but sounded like 2 excellent goals to start then sounded like we should have had a stonewall pen when they went on to score their 3rd... could easily have been 2-2? Not brilliant granted but I still think we'll be fine.

I didn't go to Forest so excluding that:

WORST PERFORMANCE SINCE THE RELEGATION SEASON OF 07/08

I am so mad I can't describe it, we were absolutley appauling tonight, what a waste of money, what a joke.

Those calling for Pearsons head are idiots but the booing was 100% deserved. The players looked like they didn't give 2 shits about the result, the hoofing passionless perfomances were embarassing, bring back Walshy. They should get paid fook all for this week.

And how stupid was Waghorn?! Suspension and injury and could have broke the guys leg for a nothing tackle.

Every team has blips of bad form, any level, any league. Fans calling for the head of Nigel Pearson and slating the team don't help things.

You've got to put things into perspective, we've done well with the little resource we have to be, to get to where we currently are. No, I'm not happy that we're losing but it'll happen, any team can beat any team on the day in this league and we should expect this. You can't say look at the past but that's where Pearson has taken us from and we've achieved a great deal. You can't say any muppet wouldhave got us out of League 1, as other teams have struggled. I'm not one for clichés but the team just need to assess what's gone wrong in the past couple of games and go back to basics. Which for me, is to tighten up the defence.

We don't need any silly knee jerk reactions!!

don't get preoccupied with whether this is a knee-jerk reaction or whether Pearson should go or not and all that nonsense....instead focus on the standard of football we are currently playing. For me, we have been poor for the past few games, not only the last two.... This evening we were devoid of ideas, bereft of confidence and fielded the wrong side. Be careful, don't get into the mindset of we are too good to go back down... We fell folly of that misconception under ollie. The football we are playing presently is shite and IS concerning. We may be 7th but this league is wide open and a few more losses will see us right down there....

So much for the reaction, Maybe we will get it againts Wednesday?

Hopefully this is just a little blip and we start playing much better starting on Saturday.

I agree it was brainless but that one tackle shown more passion and determination than the other 10 through out the whole game imo

Not for me it didnt , just shows petulance in my book

Nigel's daughter per chance?

Has big Nige been Doinking your Mrs by any chance? You seem a tad bitter?

Shocking... can't quite believe how bad we've become in the space of a few games...

Because the team was over-achieving to begin with?

The squad is, at best, a mid-table one...which was the point Robbie Savage was making a couple of weeks back.

After the 3rd goal I was gone. I actually couldn't hack watching that piss poor performance.

fooking disgrace. If only a City player knew how to close the ball down aye!

Wellens has gone well off, so disappointed. Brown couldn't back off strikers anymore, he was nearly in the bloody goal and McGivern should learn how to defend, just in general.

Dany lol how about you run to the ball and Oakley, same crap.

*This is an outragous reaction.

Oakley on he right may have worked in League One but it really doesn't in the Championship.

Its been what 4 months since the season started i think its about time Nige figured this out.

No team is good enougth not to go down. The Championship is one of the most competitive leagues in world football and any team can beat any team on the day.

We might have played poorly but you don't suddenly become a bad team, we've been punching above our weight and water finds it's own level. We'll finish mid table I'd imagine.

Middlesboro went to Q.P.R on Saturday and stuffed them 5-1.

Tonight they got mauled 3-0 at home by Blackpool.

It's the nature of the league, very difficult to find consistency and string a good run of results together. Yes, we've had a blip no doubt, but we're just as likely to bounce back with a couple of unexpected results a la Middlesboro and Q.P.R away.

I'm not disputing the fact we've had a couple of very poor results on the trot, but, anyone calling for the managers head just yet is a moron.

We were punching above our weight in 3rd place, i still believe we will finish the season around tenth, which would be a fair effort in our first season back in the Championship.

We are NOT, as yet, good enough to go up, and that is not a slight on NP, that is a fact. Our very good start definitely distorted realism for some people and thus the massive over-reactions on the back of a couple of (albeit disappointing) defeats.

Great post.

Like you say our own success has become our own worst enemy.

I wouldn't past him to make a fook up doinking my missus, he would probably bring Howard with him to try and get him out the shit!

Bar Newcastle, West Brom, Middlesbrough every team in this league could be described as a mid-table one

Lets face it, even with his red card, Waghorn was the only one who showed some desire,

and passion

It seemed as though the only player that was playing for the shirt, doesn't even belong to us.

worrying, considering the fact that 10 other players went missing today..

Nigel Pearson needs to take his head for a shit!

He has the managerial nous of a deformed goat. He has relied on what worked in League 1, too goat-headed to believe he might be wrong, steadfastly refused to change it for too long.

Well Nigel goat fook, what are you going to do about it?

Don't threaten them with training tomorrow, clearly that didn't do pig-shit either.

You are a Mongol.

Don't eat more of the red pills <_<

I wasn't at Forest so I cannot say whether the changes resulted in any noticeable improvement on that performance, but it was pretty poor tonight. Confidence seems to have evaporated with hardly anyone able to get the basics right. I don't usually single out individuals but I'm worried about Wayne Brown; he's given plenty of good performances in a City shirt but when he has a stinker, he REALLY has a stinker, and Oakley just doesn't seem to be able to impose himself on the game at all at the moment.

I'm guessing that Waghorn was worried he might not get time to get his Christmas shopping done

Whatever anyone says, WAGHORN WAS STUPID IN THAT TACKLE.

What was the best he was expecting. a throw-in midway in their half? At the risk of hurting the bristol player and himself and getting a suspension, was it really worth it?

Showing passion is the least you should expect from any player in the side , Waggys work rate was excellent but he lacked quality just like the rest, Throwing yourself in to ridiculous tackle aint big or clever and now we miss him for 3 games , SUPERB

Don't think I have ever left a match so early - I left in the 80th so wasn't even that early but think thats the earliest i've ever left game.

Right before I start I don't want Pearson sacked - Pathetic for anyone to even think that, and i'm fairly sure I am thinking straight - The last 2 games have been worse performance wise than the season we were relegated, Even in the season we were relegated I don't think we ever played as bad as in the last 2 games.

Throw the league out the window, Before these last 2 games I was always looking at the league table, and proud of our position, I understand we are 7th? I'm still happy with that, Pre season I said i'd be happy with somewhere between playoffs and 13th, but forget the league table certainly at the minute I don't care (Unless we were near the bottom - I'm not worried at the moment) what I am pissed off and worried with is the last 2 performances and results.

But yet again we have to take our chances first 10 - 20 minutes I thought we looked ok, we were creating and must have had about 4 or 5 decent chances, Don't get me wrong I don't expect to score every 1, but out of 4 or 5 chances I expect atleast half to be converted.

I predict this thread will turn into blame the Referee/Linesman, They didn't have a good game, The linesman especially and it doesn't help when they don't give blatent decisions our way but when we don't help ourselves and don't make the most of our chances can we really hold the whole blame with the Referees and Linesmen?

I expect to see the "response" on Saturday Mr Pearson & Leicester City team.

I don't see how McGivern can play for us, even if to make a point to Berner that anyone can be dropped. Shocking game today, as have the rest of his appearances for us. Need more strength in defence, can't have one left back after mcgivern goes back surely. Can't blame him totally though, midfield was non-existant. I think we would have been winning had the service been there from midfield. Ref and Lino were fooking shocking, the worst I've probably ever seen. 2 straight up penalties and so many crap offside decisions, he even had our fans agreeing with him.

Pearson however, has my ultimate faith in him, as I know he'll sort it out.
