Didn't go today so obviously my opinion isn't as valid but to be beaten 3-1 at home by Bristol City is clearly by no means a good result. I really, really don't know what is going on with us in recent weeks, but 9 goals conceded in our last 3 games, 8 in the last 4 days, shows we have a serious problem that needs addressing.

For me, the players should keep well out of the media, Nige should not state anything about a reaction or what they're going to do, and they should just get on with training, knuckle down and prepare for a scrap on Saturday. All this talk of bouncing back and whatever else will just be setting themselves up for another spectacular fall a la tonight.

Whatever the weather, Wednesday are a very dodgy side for us to play at home by all accounts, so I'm not even anticipating a win from us at the weekend either.

It'll be interesting to see how the players pick themselves up after these couple of defeats. Their confidence is probably in tatters and this is where Pearson will be seriously tested in his squad management and motivational skills. The people talking to the media have built this up as the game where the 5-1 drubbing would be rectified. Surely the backlash of a defeat in such circumstances will have hurt badly...

There comes a point when you have to laugh. I expected a battling performance with 11 players desperate to bounce back after Saturday, and once again there was nothing. No real creativity. Nothing.

Something I'd like to know is why half of L1 was calling Sproule a 'willy puller'? What did he do wrong apart from glide past our whole team and finish beautifully? Have to applaud him, he was quality. And their second was another stunner.

We were dreadful once again. McGivern  We'll get completely raped once again on Saturday if they play like that again, and then at Cardiff too. Yes we're doing ok in the table now, but a couple more performances like that and we'll be in the bottom half come 2010. Again, disgusting.

I honestly hope that there will be a response otherwise its goodbye play-offs for us.

If being hit for 5 in a local derby doesn't fire you up then what will?

Very good point and I totally agree with that.

Left early and missed our goal. :)

N'Guessan was useless. Waghorn's challenge was totally unnecessary, idiotic. Passion is good, but he showed his inexperience there. Brown and Hobbs have been dreadful recently.

Our fans are pure twats aren't they? Guy scores a brilliant goal and he gets berated. And whoever chanted 'only 1 martyn waghorn' after the horror tackle seriously is a **** and should be banned.

Didn't go tonight so sharnt comment on the match itself but a 1-3 defeat against a very average side this season is obviously very disappointing.

Saw Wednesday tonight and they were very poor, really should beat them but like someone said earlier the leagues comical at the moment with the Middlesborough last 2 scores.

Anyone doubting Pearson and the work he's done thus far is a penis and I think the reality that we've been overachiving has started to set in.

Bloody hell, Can't beat/Get hammered by Nottingham Forest and Bristol City and you're still thinking of play-offs and ultimately promotion to the Premiership. Good Luck.

I hope it was Nigel P.

First back to back defeats under NP.

Saturday will prove very interesting to see if he can get his team to grind out a performance and fingers crossed a result.

As for tonight Bristol came scored two wonder goals, put themselves behind the ball and played on the counter which led to their third. Gary Johnson has had good results in his last 3 visits to the walkers with his side, 2 wins and a draw if Im correct?

Anyone can give anyone a beating - its the beauty of this league.

Oh and the "fans" that booed at the final whistle.....take the rough with the smooth you tw@ts!!!

Wanye Brown is a horror show.

Wayhorn tackle was horrific - is that the last we see of him?

Pearsons tactics were horrible.

The last two games have somehow been worse than the performances in the relegation season.

Echo everything that's been said.

I'd also like to extend my congratulations to the few fans who booed the side (Wayne Brown in particular) before the match, great effort lads :angry:

2 emphatic defeats in 4 days on the back of a poor performance away at S****horpe is obviously going to be confidence shattering, I just think that all of the talk in the media heaps unnecessary pressure on a side already feeling the pressure of their league position and the increased expectations that come with it.

But we'll see. Wednesday are coming here on the back of a very bad run themselves and will be, like ourselves, low on confidence. The game won't be pretty and we seem to lack a leader and anybody willing to graft and fight at the minute. I can see us being beaten by the odd goal at the weekend and then being pummelled out at Cardiff. Not ideal but hey-ho, that's Leicester City!

For anyone that went tonight how did Wellens play? Sounded non-existent on the radio. I haven't seen him have a great game yet. After what we were led to believe about him being about the best midfielder in the division last season (his own words) I am underwhelmed.

Most of his passes seem to go sideways with the odd flamboyant one thrown in. I can't remember his last assist it seems to be that long ago. Perhaps it is because he is playing with players who are almost alike in style (King & Oakley who have been equally ineffective). Perhaps we need a tough tackling midfielder in with him to get the best out of him because as I say so far he has been a little disappointing for me. Not particularly bad, just not very good either. What does everyone else think?

If you mean league, then yes. But we lost back-to-back against Preston (Cup) and Newcastle this season.

The whole team is playing poorly to be honest. Some more so than others but you can't pinpoint the blame on just one person.

Don't think it will be Waghorn's last. Hope not anyway. It's not like he's consistently doing these bad tackles or getting sent off regularly. Talking of which, is this our first red of the season??
