tallington fox Posted 12 December 2009 Posted 12 December 2009 I see that JW scored his first goal today for the mighty Accies. It was a great shame he never made it at Leicester but I supposed two broken legs did not help. I remember his debut against Celtic and he looked the real deal until that terrible tackle put him out for 6 months. Anyone know whether he is still on our books?
Sparky Posted 12 December 2009 Posted 12 December 2009 Id like to see him back and fighting for a place
dave_the_fox Posted 12 December 2009 Posted 12 December 2009 if he gets back to the tough tackling bulldog in the DMC role he could be invaluable! However.......
MPH Posted 12 December 2009 Posted 12 December 2009 if he gets back to the tough tackling bulldog in the DMC role he could be invaluable!However....... who would you drop for him? wellens or King?
SMX11 Posted 12 December 2009 Posted 12 December 2009 He may give us a different option. Id certainly put him on the bench if he can replicate his current form.
orod Posted 12 December 2009 Posted 12 December 2009 He may give us a different option. Matt Posted 12 December 2009 Posted 12 December 2009 He may give us a different option. Id certainly put him on the bench if he can replicate his current form. He'd only get injured again I've never questioned his form, I've always liked him, Great player and prospect, Unfortunatly injuries have almost made me give up on him.
Ozwin Posted 12 December 2009 Posted 12 December 2009 But he's made of glass. Everytime he plays for us he gets injured, I bet he hasn't even played 3 games in a row for us yet. I'd love him to become a regular for us because he seems like a nice bloke but we just don't know how many game he can play a season yet.
Daggers Posted 12 December 2009 Posted 12 December 2009 But he's made of glass. Everytime he plays for us he gets injured. Lovely bloke, could have been good - flog him while he's not broken and use the money to buy a player who works.
beardedgoalie Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 Hi folks, Accies fan here. I wondered if there would be any reaction on here to his goal yesterday so I thought I'd register when I saw this thread. James has been fantastic for us so far this season, an ever present believe it or not! We started the season abysmally with many new players who just didn't gel, including Izzy Iriekpen who you may know. These players have been slowly but surely shown the door and our form now is very steady however even when we struggled in the first three games Weso was one of the few bright spots. He's a little terrier and his goal yesterday, and what a sublime move it was, was just reward for him. He missed a chance to make it 2-0 just before half time but thankfully he made amends when it looked more than likely that we were going to lose. I gather that he is tied to us for the rest of the season and for that we are very grateful. We actually have one of the best midfields outwith the Old Firm at present with Guillame Beuzelin ex Coventry, the highly rated James McArthur (attracting interest from Rangers, Real Betis, Ipswich and Forest) and our captain Alex Neil (ex Barnsley). One of my Accies pals is a keen Leicester fan too. He's enjoying this season!
Vo Rogue Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 The coaching team, Pearson and Shakespeare, can't see anything in him only a bit part player. They don't even include him in player profiles on the OS and has no shirt squad number. What you on about Beardedgoalie?

Vo Rogue Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 Does my post need any explanation? No. Just a dig at the things LCFC do. Youve found him to be a fantastic player. However with a lot of our loanees Gradel,Adams and Wesolowski they do exceptionally well but are not used here. They are what is needed here at this moment as we have been on a bad patch. We may have beaten what is in essence a Division 1 team by playing our old Division 1 format but I suspect we will still be found out by real Championship teams in weeks to come.
CosbehFox Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 Like him here. Worked hard but I look back and can't remember if he had a consistent run of decent performances. Whether that was form or injured, who knows but he put some fine performances against the likes of Villa. Sometimes, it's just best if we let certain players go for their own good and try not to hark to the past.
fleckneymike Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 He's playing for Hamilton Academical for heavens sake, for whom he's scored one goal. If he were any standard of player he would not be on loan at Hamilton Academical's.

The Dons beat Rangers in their last home match.
DanTheFox07 Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 Has had 2 broken legs, i feel for this guy as i really like him! Deserves one last chance to see if he can do it at leicester! for good sake weve still got clemence and he has been out for over a year so deffo deserves his chance.
Joe. Posted 13 December 2009 Posted 13 December 2009 He's only playing at Hamilton because he's had so much bad luck with injuries. He looked so promising when he first broke onto the scene, it's a just a shame he seems to have been made of glass. That said, if he's playing well for them and keeping himself injury free then I don't see why he doesn't deserve another shot here. Because to be fair, he's never really had the chance.

Well you wouldn't because the Scottish Prem is a tin pot league. I've a lot of sympathy for Wesolowski, he's a tenacious battler but he doesn't suit our system, is injury prone and lacks the discipline to cut it at a decent standard.

What is "our system"? I don't see how a defensive midfielder couldn't fit into most teams.

The belgian league isn't that good a standard but the teams in that'd still give us a run for our money,
