MikeyT Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 I took a penalty against Jimmy Neilsen once at college.. I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that you scored.
ajthefox Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 I think I hit the post <_< In my defence though it was far from a full size goal though, they were about 5 and half feet tall and probably 7ft wide..

Well i'll give you the vote of confidence that if it had been a normal sized goal, you'd have beaten him.

Thracian Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 To mention a few: Played squash against legendary world number one Jonah Barrington and entertainer Tommy Steele. Bill Maynard spent a couple of hours relaxing at my house. Had a buffet lunch with world motor racing champion James Hunt and his girlfriend Hotty Birbeck, interviewed world motor cycling champion Giacomo Agostini, met and trained with Peter Shilton lots of times and was driven round Brands Hatch by Grand Prix driver Gunnar Nilsson. Played football in the Mercury team with television broadcasters Tony Francis and Tim Ewart ,was a colleague of columnist Richard Littlejohn at the Peterborough Evening Telegraph and knew boxer Joe Bugner.

He wasn't in many, but always made me giggle at the Carry On films he appeared in.
BoneDog Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 Had a chat with Ian St John and John Sillett. Only at the same bloody time! It was like a celebrity sand-h-wich (that's the posh way to say sandwich). Also met Ian Gillan when I was a nipper. And I bumped into Lenny Henry at a bare knuckle gypsy fight behind some industrial estate in Droitwich.

lcfc_amie Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 The chuckle brothers - I was only young so don't remember it very well, i think they signed a poster for me after a show. Joe pasquale - it was the day after my 14th? birthday, and he wished me happy birthday Ray Quinn - Around my 15th birthday - he wished me happy birthday too! Sven - Just before my 18th birthday last year, i had a picture with him and he wished me happy birthday! One of the best ones was Chris Powell just before the S****horpe home match in our league 1 season. He took time to have a photo and sign the programme, and then had a chat to us about the game. I think i remember asking us if we were bothered about the result that night, as we'd already won the league. Great guy!

ajthefox Posted 4 April 2011 Posted 4 April 2011 Can't imagine why any city fan would want anything to do with Campbell after everything that happened, and there's probably a fair few who don't even know who Chambers is. You'd be lucky to make enough to send them to whichever poor sod wants them I rekon.
