General Smuts Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 Also forgot to mention i've met Kelly Smith (the England womens captain) and Jack Hobbs who was with his girlfriend at the time who was absolutely tiny!! Most of the current forest squad and Gary Teale all came into the service station where i work. Thats a point. I've played football with most of the Arsenal Ladies team as well. They train at my Uni and we used to play 5 a side just before them. Every now and then wed get battered by a few of them in 5 a side. Always a self esteem booster that. Half of them are bang tidy too.
eye666 Posted 12 April 2011 Posted 12 April 2011 Andy Cole, (the legend that is) Clayton Blackmore (also a fat pie now), Rio Ferdinand, Nani, Paul Robinson, Steven Ireland, Joe Hart, Tim Cahill, Jo, Noddy Holder, Les Battersby (Don't know his real name), The idiot who plays David in Corrie who was out with the idiot who plays Jason from Corrie, the MILF who played the barwoman in Heartbeat. Served all them plus probably others when I was living in Manchester.
Parafox Posted 13 April 2011 Posted 13 April 2011 Not really meeting a famous person this, but I had to share... I had a dream today (Been on nights) that me and my brother-in-law were at Barwell tip when we saw Jackie Charlton. We started jumping up and down going; way-aye... we shall 'ave a fishy on a little dishy when the bowat (sic) cooomes innnn. Jackie smiled politely and said " I get that wherever I go, that's why I have to keep driving further and further to find a tip." His face fell. "Looks like I cannna use this one anymore..." I woke up thinking, wow... Newcastle to Barwell, where can he go now?

Head Honcho Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Morrissey at Newport Pagnell services (for the smiths fans amongst us, he didnt leave his bag behind!), it was on a friday night about 10 years ago. He had a kangol beret on covering the trademark quiff, nice bloke, bought him some crisps and a can of lilt, he replied with a signed national lottery slip, then said thanks before running off to a black volvo heading north presumably towards his mum in Altrincham! Also met Birch last week who kindly did a little speech in the memorial garden when we scattered my brother in law's ashes, top bloke. And ive had a few beers with Jersey Budd.. The question asked was " famous person"
