MikeyT Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Met Halestorm at Christmas (Female fronted rock band for those that don't know). Got photo with them and autographs. Real nice people.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Well surely if we're counting people that we have seen in the flesh then it's a toss up between several footballers (Beckham, Ronaldo, Linekar, etc) or maybe like me some pop/rock stars. Could also count the many people who came to the openning of the Warner Village (Vue) cinema many years back, which was opened by Val Kilmer. But if you mean met as in talked to then either Robert Lindsey or Sophie Grigson... so that will be Robert Lindsey then.

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Chewed the fat with Mark Bosnich about his drug addiction and his dislike for Alex Fergusson
m00nie Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 met david beckham at a spice girls concert at sheffield don valley around 98.. had quick chat and got him to sign daughters programme but then the crowds flocked to him so he went backstage..
MikeyT Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 I still think my meeting Cannon & Ball is by far the best in this thread.
Wymsey Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Bill Adderley - Founder of Dunelm Mill - From working at a market stall in town to having now a personal wealth of over £600m, he is certainly famous in this respect. Known him all my life. Matt Le Tissier on a European cruise. Gordan Banks Mark Phillips (Zara's Father) at Burghley Horse Trials. Sven Julie Walters at Selfridge's This fat loud-mouthed female chef with glassed who used to go on GMTV - Can't remember her name, Last Summer in Southern France. Half famous: Walshy David Platt (Corrie lad) and his girlfriend/missus or whatever in Salford Ritchie Norman Ali.. somebody - ex Scot player for us Most of current squad.
Kenners Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Rowland Rivron, Nancy Lam, Paul Burrell, Noel Sullivan and some other bird. It was in Crete, they were filming a programme about being a holiday rep and we were passing by the hotel they were filming at and they asked my dad if he could play football cause they were missing somebody, he said no. (and yes I had to google their names theyre THAT famous.)
Jon the Hat Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Ok... Aside from the likes of Heskey, Lennon, Muzzy, Guppy etc in bars around 96-99.. Ellen McArthur once gave me an award. Louise Redknapp performed at a work do, had a good chat afterwards. Des Lynam compered a work do and had a good chat about City. Had a dance with Julia Bradbury when she was at a work do. Also met Tony Hadley that night. GOLD.
ajthefox Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 Apart from football players I'm struggling to think of anyone genuinely that famous. Met everyone from one of my favourite bands, their called Anberlin, but over here they aren't well known. Really am struggling beyond that
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 The night i meet Bosnich, i'm the guy holding up the inflatible red thing
Fox1651 Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 i have met Seb Coe, Steve Elliott, Jack Buckner and a few other quite well known athletes (as my dad was an international athletics coach a few years ago)
Sparky Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 My Grandma beats me hands down at this, she has a picture of herself and Muhammed Ali outside their hotel in Hawaii around 1977. Apparently a very nice chap he is too.

DJMadness29 Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 Dixie Carter - President of TNA Wrestling Ric Flair and shook his hand Joe Pasquale, Jim Davidson, Boney M, Shiwaddywaddy, Big Bloke from Brookside, Dave Bassett, the drifters, a fair few idiots from pop idol/x-factor - Whilst working at Stardust near Coalville Sold Lilian Nalis a bike in Halfords. Jeremey Beadle used to come to our school all the time, was good friends with the head at the time. Bumped into (quite litterally) Justin Lee Collins in blackpool opera house. He had camera team with him and everything. Spotted him being pestered by almost everyone walking through the middle of Newquay.
MikeyT Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 Just remembered i served James Scowcroft, Lilian Nalis, Stephen Hughes and Roy Chubby Brown when i worked at the Virgin Megastore in Leicester. Not all at the same time. EDIT. Mark Morrison as well.
ScouseFox Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 Joe Cole and his piece, she's fit. Sami Hyppia Didi Hamann Fernando Torres Just shit loads of Liverpool players really.
