Kilworthfox Posted 21 December 2009 Posted 21 December 2009 Burton Mail Delighted, hopefully they pay a good % of his weekly wage
Tilley Posted 21 December 2009 Posted 21 December 2009 Just sell him/cancel his contract/send him to the North Pole.
Sly Posted 21 December 2009 Posted 21 December 2009 This is lovely news. Let him sign for them on a free transfer and then we can free up a bit more cash.
Matt Posted 21 December 2009 Posted 21 December 2009 And some people were happy we signed him the 2nd time? Where are these people now?
Webbo Posted 21 December 2009 Posted 21 December 2009 And some people were happy we signed him the 2nd time? Where are these people now? I thought the few times he came on last season he did ok. He got the equalizer against Oldham and he played a big part in the winner against Leeds. Considering he had a serious back injury for most of the season I thought that was a decent return. This season he's done well for Derby, proving he can still make an impact at this level. Some people on here just need someone to slag off whether it's justified or not.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 21 December 2009 Posted 21 December 2009 Dickv is one of my favourite ever Leicester players, and I think if he had got a run in the team he would have done well last season, he was unlucky with injuries though. Why do we not just get rid of im on a free in Jan, as we wont get anything for him anyway.

We should try and off-load him permanently if possible.
AoWW Posted 21 December 2009 Posted 21 December 2009 Just sell him/cancel his contract/send him to the North Pole. What's the North Pole done to deserve him?
marbelladave Posted 21 December 2009 Posted 21 December 2009 In general terms I have absolutely no problem with Dickov. In his prime he was excellent and even in recent years he still works hard and is making a difference at Derby. During his time with us he has, by all accounts, been a very positive presence in the dressing room and despite some nonsense on the pitch I think he has always been an asset to the club. He is not needed at the Walkers so let him stay at Derby, he's clearly enjoying himself, just so long as he is not costing us a fortune.

See everything you have written was really really nice, then we come to the £££££ which is stopping LCFC from getting in new blood until the deadwood is moved on. 2nd time around Dickov has been utterly shiite for LCFC a MM utterly pointless signing.

Agreed, Mandaric is a clown, it's his money, which is fine but when it impinges on his managers ability to strengthen his squad it shows what a bad move it was 2 years ago. I knew it then so should he have done.

His character is something that not a lot of clubs have and his determination was always there for us. He is a good player, ok his legs may have gone, but he will still remain a superb finisher. How do we know if Milan or Pearson signed him?
Asha Posted 21 December 2009 Posted 21 December 2009 And some people were happy we signed him the 2nd time? Where are these people now? I was definitely happy at him signing. In hindsight, probably not the greatest signing. But we only see what happens on the pitch, for all we know his experience might have been vital in the dressing room with a lot of younger lads.

Edmund Posted 21 December 2009 Posted 21 December 2009 There's no doubt about it that he was a Milan signing.
MPH Posted 21 December 2009 Posted 21 December 2009 The only issue with Dickov's age is that he needed a real good run in the sid to get up to fitness and be match sharp. we couldnt afford him that luxury and he is lucky someone could - Both him and Derby are not benefitting from that. He wasnt bad this time around he just hasnt had the opportunity to do the things mentioned above for the reasons that are also mentioned above
Kilworthfox Posted 21 December 2009 Author Posted 21 December 2009 How do you mean? My fault, I thought we signed him b4 NP arrived
