When I woke up my mum was on the phone to the Australian relatives, all sounded very merry - Literally, lovely weather apparently, they'd just been down to the beach, Bastards! My cousin's were trying to tempt me out their for abit of work/travel, Tempted, I'll see how the start of the year goes.
AyewJoking Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 Is it appropriate to wear nice clothes for christmas dinner even though its just the wife and I? She wants to but I can't see the point.
AjcW Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 Is it appropriate to wear nice clothes for christmas dinner even though its just the wife and I?She wants to but I can't see the point. I have a rule for xmas day....your shittiest clothes possible, pyjamas even... all day long.... simples.
Jordan Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 Yay, Christmas day! Happy Birthday, umm... Humphrey Bogart! It's probably not going to be the best Christmas for the family this year as we've got two ill relatives in the hospital--but if anything, that should be a reminder to be thankful for the family and health we've got. So anyway, on a more pleasant note, the gift bounty so far: -$50 gift certificate for a local runner's store -$10 gift card for Dunkin' Donuts -a tie -a New York Rangers t-shirt -$25 in cash -a potato masher (do two hours of free all-I-can-drink Scotch at a local bar on Wednesday night count as a gift? ) I'm about to head over to mom's now, but tbh I'm set with all that above (though I could always use another pair of argyle socks!). Have a Merry Christmas--and here's hoping your hangovers will die down by dinner time.

Guest Bilo Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 As I flick through the piss-poor TV listings for this evening, I have only one thing to say. New Year > Christmas. Sorry.

purpleronnie Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 I'm really bored How? Anyway its not like it used to be, relatives hanging around until all hours, its not 8pm yet and everyones gone. Maybe its my hosting skills.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 25 December 2009 Posted 25 December 2009 How?Anyway its not like it used to be, relatives hanging around until all hours, its not 8pm yet and everyones gone. Maybe its my hosting skills. How? Because i'm bored of FIFA 10 (ball greedy bellends on online team play have put me right off), and have no desire to play any of my other games, there is literally nothing interesting on television, I am not tempted to watch any of my DVDs I own, and I just have nothing to do. EDIT: In addition, there's no good sport on, anywhere in the world except some NBA now, there's nothing in the news, the forums are pretty dead. I might leaf through some old Leicester programmes. Bad times. Christmas Day, probably the most mind numbingly boring day of the year!
