ts_1010 Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/news...il/article.html I know it's not conclusive but it does show that MM isnt exactly one of the big fishes in this pond.
Daggers Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 MM isn't exactly one of the big fish in yesterday's pond.
davieG Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 It's sad when people have to have this we're bigger than you thoughts but even sadder that people are basing it on how rich the Chairman/Owner is.

Ford Super Sunday Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 Yes, indeed. Let's base the size of a club on the owners wealth. Simon Keswick, who was a major player in Cheltenham Town up until a year ago, was worth £970 MILLION. That made them massive... It's also well known that until Man City, the combined wealth of the QPR directors totalled around £10+ BILLION... which of course made them the biggest club in england
lou Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 Who ever said we were a big club anyway? OR that MM was one of the richer chairmen? Anyway QPR has the 2nd richest bloke at their club and it hasnt made them a bigger or more successful club than us!
jonthefox Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 £75 m, is that all he`s worth.. probably entitled to income support or summat.
MC Prussian Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 It's even sadder when people don't notice they're quoting a twelve month-old article that has Cristiano Ronaldo still playing in the Premiership.
Legend_in_blue Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 We are a big club. We are Leicester City FC. It doesn't matter what you base your opinion on. We are a big club. That's all there is to it. No need to justify it. We. Just. Are.
lou Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 It's even sadder when people don't notice they're quoting a twelve month-old article that has Cristiano Ronaldo still playing in the Premiership. Thats why I was confused as Im sure MM has lost a lot of money in 2009... I read it somewhere Im sure
s2000 Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 We are a big club. We are Leicester City FC. It doesn't matter what you base your opinion on. We are a big club. That's all there is to it. No need to justify it. We. Just. Are. exactly
Donut Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 We are a big club. We are Leicester City FC. It doesn't matter what you base your opinion on. We are a big club. That's all there is to it. No need to justify it. We. Just. Are. Lets be totally honest with ourselves, to people around the country, and fans from overseas: To those other than relocated supporters, and the population of Leicester, we are not a big club and thats coming from a MASSIVE leicester fan Lets not kid ourselves there are bigger fish in the sea than leicester city
C-man Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 We are a big club. We are Leicester City FC. It doesn't matter what you base your opinion on. We are a big club. That's all there is to it. No need to justify it. We. Just. Are. Yet you say that teams like Swansea are 'tin pot?' A tin pot opposition is always going to attract a low attendance.Give us a decent premiership team fa cup tie at home in the next round and I won't mind paying the extra on top of the season ticket price to go and watch it. Last time I checked they were level on points with us. Maybe there is need to justify it?
MPH Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 Lets be totally honest with ourselves, to people around the country, and fans from overseas:To those other than relocated supporters, and the population of Leicester, we are not a big club and thats coming from a MASSIVE leicester fan Lets not kid ourselves there are bigger fish in the sea than leicester city ok... not sure why i am bothering... but anyway... there are 9 teams in the prem ( thats less than half ) who would definately have bigger attendances than us... the term 'big' is relative to things like that. no one has said we are the biggest or no one is bigger..
Tony Pine Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 i still find it confusing with the fanbase, good stadium and training facilities, youth team, history, cup wins, and low level of debt that one of these sheikhs hasnt tried to buy leicester. seems a much better bet than these other teams. maybe someone can enlighten me
ozleicester Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 Surely "big" is based on success, support and recognition. Sadly if thats the case, we are not a big club. Outside of England, you will be hard pressed to find anyone who knows who LCFC are or any history, in fact (though it hurts me to say) over here, i think the Tigers have a higher profile than city. We will be big (internationaly)when we... Are in the premiership Make (at least) the 1/4 finals of the FA cup regularly Play in europe Play/beat Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool etc regularly.
Zingari Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 we are big because we are closer , the other clubs are further away and look smaller understand now dougal ? i
