Webbo Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Asda in Thurmaston That's were my wife works. Anywho. You ban as many groups as you like but you can't ban peoples thoughts.I can't really see what this will achieve. This just seems a pre election gimmick to me.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 By banning them they will just operate under a different name as has been done by this clown before. By banning them it just gives them the publicity they want and also gives them the opportunity to shout about Western Oppression etc. Silly pointless move aimed imo at vote winning at the next election by placating the racists and the thick. If they wanted to have any proper impact at all then a whole freedom of speech debate would need to done. They're a bunch of hypocrits because they 'spout' on about Western Oppression, but 1) They wouldn't be able to front a radical view against the norm in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran etc. 2) If they don't like Western Ideology then they know where to go 3) Any act against our troops is tantamount to treason.
BoneDog Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Religion is the root of all evil. No it isn't, far from it. I don't think they were going to do this cos of western ideology. I think they were going to protest about the 1million plus dead innocents in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Are you saying that the British army have caused these? 99% of civilian casualties in the east are caused by muslims suicide bombing each other! My general view is that why look like total idiots by campaigning in the UK and increasing islamophobia when they could be doing something about it in Iraq. Let the extremeists protest there and get the UK troops to mow the bastards down.
Edmund Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Religion is the root of all evil. No it isn't, far from it. I can see where this ones heading. Were about due a religion debate.
lou Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 I don't disagree that they are very damaging to community cohesion but people like the BNP are best kept in the open. Look at Nick Griffin on Question Time when he was made an utter fool of in front of millions, any credibility anyone thought he might have had was exploded in that hour. The BNP are a joke run by clueless idiots and supported by morons, the chances of them ever becoming a political force in this country are close to non-existent. Their stated aim is to gain a foothold through the ballot box, Islam4UK want to impose (and impose is the key word, seeing as they believe democracy to be unislamic) a Sharia state by any means necessary. But they're not "out in the open " are they?

acooling08 Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 I love the muslim matrionials ad one this page. How many people out of a few 100 LCFC supporters on FT are muslims wanting to get married?
BoneDog Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Are you saying that the British army have caused these? 99% of civilian casualties in the east are caused by muslims suicide bombing each other! My general view is that why look like total idiots by campaigning in the UK and increasing islamophobia when they could be doing something about it in Iraq. Let the extremeists protest there and get the UK troops to mow the bastards down. I agree with what you think about this planned march. It was one of the most stupid ideas I've ever heard. I certainly don't think that our troops had much to do with most of the innocent deaths in either war. But most of these deaths in Iraq were not caused by suicide bombs. They were caused before the US or British troops even got to the towns and cities. They were caused by thousands of tonnes of bombs (from sky and sea) and artillery. Majority of the 'suicide' bombs that happen against people in bus queues or markets etc. are triggered by US/Israeli organisations and parts of the Iraqi 'government'. (the same goes for most of the bombings in Pakistan) And I don't think that extremists would be protesting in Iraq or Afghanistan. I think an extremist would be fighting. Surely the protestors there are just everyday folk. So mowing down protestors would just be killing more innocents unless protesting is now a capital offence.
Daggers Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 But they're not "out in the open " are they? I'm outing acooling08 then.
Daggers Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Brilliant example of why banning them is a nonsense - let them hold themselves up to ridicule. Let them be public, and followed...and not allowed onto planes.

Maybes Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Islam4UK can fook off. These idiots tar the reputation of the 99/% that are good citizens living in the UK.
Podge Posted 12 January 2010 Posted 12 January 2010 Where do you get your statistics? 82% of all stats are made up on the spot didn't you know?
lcfc_jme Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 Most people with even half a brain know that these idiots do not represent the vast majority of Muslims, and those that think they do should be lined up against a wall and shot. My Islamic friends disagreed with the planned protest/march thingymajig and are happy at this recent news. That is all.
MPH Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 I love the muslim matrionials ad one this page. How many people out of a few 100 LCFC supporters on FT are muslims wanting to get married? Just seen this at the bottom of this page: Football Lover dating More apt , but still
Finnegan Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 For the ten million time, advert bots like "Google Spyder" scan the page for key words in an attempt to put up applicable adverts. It's a thread about Islam and so, et voila, Islam dating service. I'm willing to bet there aren't an abundance of adverts for other Islamic sites. If we have a three page conversation about mail order brides, World of Warcraft, buying cheap football shirts or something equally internet topical then you'll see other "relevant" adverts.
Guest Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 The problem is that he has done it before and I am sure that would impinge on his human rights (Can the law students can confirm this?). This is why it is a nonsense decision in my eyes. He can argue the case that his right to freedom of speech has been interfered with, but it is a qualified right, which means that governments are allowed to put limits on what people can or cannot say. Whilst part of me agrees that this group should be banned, there is a part of me that is concerned that by doing so, it will just give them more ammunition for their cause. It also won't stop them from starting up again under a different format. Choudary may or may not have been told that he can't set up another group, but this move will just force him and his cronies underground. Part of me would rather they were out in the open, so we can see them for the fools that they are. Are you saying that the British army have caused these? 99% of civilian casualties in the east are caused by muslims suicide bombing each other! Ha ha, 99%? Even if it were true, don't you think it might be argued that the presence of US and British forces is one of the reasons for the suicide bombs?
hairy Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 99% of civilian casualties in the east are caused by Americans bombing each other! Fixed
Head Honcho Posted 13 January 2010 Posted 13 January 2010 I'm well fooked off about this I was quite looking forward to meeting them in Wooton Bassett.
