Head Honcho Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...nty/8453055.stm Been done already mate but I love listening to it.
Dan Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 Arguably the best interview I've ever heard. Legend.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 Have you all heard the commentary from the Villa game today when Savage who was the summariser was hit in the face by a clearance from Cuellar! Apparantly he drew blood from his nose! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8464392.stm
Basingstoke Fox Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 That is actually spectacular. Ive loved and hated Savage in the past but this has brought back some love. Absolutely classic! Coming down hard on all the negativity. Fair play to him.

purpleronnie Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 Savage at his best? Sounds like colin gibson pretty much held his own to me.
Head Honcho Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 Savage at his best? Sounds like colin gibson pretty much held his own to me. No chance he was speechless to begin with and stuttering and repeating himself afterwards
lou Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 Savage at his best? Sounds like colin gibson pretty much held his own to me. Youre a bit argumentative lately? Is it your time of the month?
purpleronnie Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 No chance he was speechless to begin with and stuttering and repeating himself afterwards I think he was taken aback at the start savage really didnt answer gibsons questions properly either and was stumbling too, enjoyed the journo's getting a bit of stick back though. I wish more footballers did that.
Alexikokopops Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 Savage at his best? Sounds like colin gibson pretty much held his own to me. Yeah, he did pretty well after the early surprise. Savage started sounding a bit repetitive and like a bit of a dick towards the end.
MC Prussian Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 Robbie "Target Man" Savage: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/f...cus/8476110.stm
dandannieldanok Posted 22 January 2010 Posted 22 January 2010 Robbie "Target Man" Savage:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/f...cus/8476110.stm Haha fair play Sav
James. Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Yeah, he did pretty well after the early surprise. Savage started sounding a bit repetitive and like a bit of a dick towards the end. A bit of a dick? He started to sound like a total cunt.
Hitesh Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 Robbie "Target Man" Savage:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/f...cus/8476110.stm Saw that on the news this morning lingmao! Although their players were quite off target a lot of times!
purpleronnie Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 A bit of a dick? He started to sound like a total cunt. Agreed, gibson came back with a few good points, savage didnt know what to say, its weird how some people hear it differently though.
Jordan Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 It's not Colin Gibson's job to do everything he can to make sure Derby County are playing well. He was taken aback at the beginning but absolutely owned Savage at the end. Something's rotten in the football club of Derby.
Finnegan Posted 23 January 2010 Posted 23 January 2010 No chance he was speechless to begin with and stuttering and repeating himself afterwards I think he was taken aback at the start savage really didnt answer gibsons questions properly either and was stumbling too, enjoyed the journo's getting a bit of stick back though. I wish more footballers did that. Bit of perspective necessary, though. Gibson's a professional journalist and broadcaster, you'd expect him to be fairly savvy, fairly intelligent, fairly eloquent and fairly well educated but he completely got his pants pulled down. Savage is a professional footballer, a breed of human being not exactly marked for their genius or articulate nature. By the standards of many of his peers, Savage has always been a fairly bright lad and a fairly sharp lad. Aye he might have run in a few circles towards the end but he was probably a bit more fired up and a bit more pumped on the old testosterone and looking for a fight. Not saying that's commendable but all things considered I thought he came out of it looking a lot better than the supposed journo. I accept my own bias but I also expect more from a broadcaster, personally.
dandannieldanok Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 Anyone heard this interview from today between Gibson and Savage? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/8632364.stm I know loads of people hate the guy, but I can fully understand his frustration when it comes to dealing with this twat Gibson.
JoeyB Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 haha, sav tears into him, haha About the only time i've liked him as of late
BoneDog Posted 24 April 2010 Posted 24 April 2010 That radio guy does sound a bit of an idiot sometimes, especially towards the end of the interview. I don't know if he's always like that or if he just enjoys winding Savage up!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Bloke interviewing Savage does come across as a cock ring.
The Stig Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 Colin Gibson is clearly an over opinionated twat who has a higher opinion of himself than he does the team. His dig at the players when he was saying "not sure how many Derby players have played in a European Cup Semi" and then his dig at the punditry work was bang out of order. I'm not a fan of Robbie Savage but his positive mentality will hold much more benefits from the team than negatives.
Nick Posted 25 April 2010 Posted 25 April 2010 I say they are both massive tools and let them fight - cracking entertainment.
