shen Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 Im not surprised to be honest. It was against Moldova and they were already through. Hes a gash centre back though. Technically very good but all other aspects of his game are bog standard. He's only 19 for Christ's sake, of course he's not going to be anywhere near the finished article. He's not as huge as Phil Jones, but he's certainly that bit more cultured. Wouldn't need to remind anyone of the goals he scored last season. Already playing first team football in a top league, and I'm sure he'll become an accomplished defender too. And it doesn't matter that it was against Moldova and that they'd already qualified. He's earmarked for a spot in the senior team, and if he continues like this he'll probably be selected for their Euro squad as well.
accessory Posted 9 October 2011 Posted 9 October 2011 I doubt Bruma in his current state would get anywhere near the United first team, at least in the Premier or Champions Leagues. Yes, he did score a few decent goals for us, but defensively he was, more often that not, a bombscare. It's hardly a coincidence that Hamburg's form has slumped since he moved there. Even Darren Bent would fancy his chances against him if he's part of the Dutch Euro 2012 side.
The Doctor Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 Unchanged team tonight - so CMS as the lone striker against the likes of Pique, Puyol and Ramos. Can't see any problems there.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 Sorry to say this Al, but Spain are going to dish out the same kind of battering the Scots generally dish out to their Mars Bars. Spain 3-0 Scotland I reckon.
Guest MattP Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 Let's be honest, In reality the Jocks will be paying more interest to the Lithuania score, that's the chance of making the play offs.
Tom17LCFC Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 I feel dirty because I actually want Scotland to win and then qualify, just so we can smash them next summer.
Guest MattP Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 I feel dirty because I actually want Scotland to win and then qualify, just so we can smash them next summer. Maybe we can take care them after we have smashed Montenegro again.
The Doctor Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 I live in hope of deep-frying the bastards paella like we did the the French croissants (twice) last time round but I can't see it, particularly with the line-up we've named. Berra and Caldwell - decent enough lower prem defenders but against Torres & Villa? Torres they could handle easily () but not many players stand much of a chance up against Villa. All I can hope is that with Bannan-Adam-Fletcher across the centre we can restrict their midfield and then just knick something from a set-piece or a quick break.
Guest MattP Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 Massive difference between that French side and this Spanish one as well.
Simmo86 Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 Don't know why but I really want the Jocks to win.
Bert Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 I'd love it if Scotland got to the play-offs. Then lost in them. Can't see them getting there though the miserable nation that they are. Watching ROI now to see how SSL does, had a shaky start to be fair. Hope Ireland can make the playoffs.
davieG Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 ROI get a big slice of luck Cox hand balls and their goalie gets a red card
Guest Bilo Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 1-0 Spain. Superb passing and movement from them.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 Czechs a goal to the good as well. Hopes deleted indeed.
The Doctor Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 beautiful work CMS - keep harrying the bastards.
Guest MattP Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 Serious serious money flew in on the Czechs before Kick off, dont expect much help from Lithuania, looks bent as ****.
The Doctor Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 Serious serious money flew in on the Czechs before Kick off, dont expect much help from Lithuania, looks bent as ****. thank you for helping to sour up my grapes. Now I can whine about how we were cheated when we lose, and if we manage a miracle then I can feel superior about managing to beat the cheats.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 You getting the excuses in early then MattP?
Guest MattP Posted 11 October 2011 Posted 11 October 2011 You getting the excuses in early then MattP? Hey? I want the jocks out ASAP.
