That day was great, the whole crowd going mental when that goal had gone in was brilliant, and to top it off, as we were singing while walking down the road a Leeds fan who obviously had sour grapes goes "You didn't sing at all while you were at the match" The Irony of the fans who only sung "We all love Leeds" for the whole game was hilarious :giggle:

To be fair to Leeds, their fans were ace. To still carry on as loud as they did after we'd just taken the lead with seconds to spare was quite something. Pound for pound the best fans in England for my money.

I agree that they were loud, and fair play, but its mainly the bitterness of some of the fans having a go at us being happy and singing because we near enough had just been promoted which made then seem laughable.

Similarly I was walking past the car park near the spar with the biggest smile ever and a load of leeds fans in a minibus decided to lob bottles of beer in the direction of our fans walking towards the canal, one hit me but didn't smash, normally I'd probably rage at this but I just smiled and walked out. Brilliant day.

The opposition, the timing of the goal and the prospect of sealing promotion made this such a great moment.

Posh losing in the late TV game made it an even better day. :D

I accidentally knocked a coffee/tea out of the bird who i was sitting next to during the celebrations. They was white linen trousers. She was furious but me and her boyfriend/husband jumping around together. epic.

We had a similar thing to that. In the car stuck in traffic we were behind a car full of Leeds fans. A kid about 9/10 went up ot the car and kept singing 'one nil, one nil, one nil!' then something like 'we'll never play you again!', but credit to the Leeds fans they took it on the chin and just smiled!

Thanks for reminding me that I kindly stopped to allow the police escort along the A47 while joining from Westcotes Drive, cue a minute of badge kissing and taunts as five very annoyed coaches rolled by. :scarf:

I can't help being childish. :D

I was in an internet cafe in Thailand with the sound up full blast, my top off and 6 large Chang beers all over me. The look of horror from the other people when Howards goal went in and I did the 'victory spray' will stay with me forever.

If it makes you feel any better, if they went the same way as the coaches then they got massive amounts of stick from everyone down The Quay. Everybody just piled outside or stood on the balcony and started swearing and cheering as they went by.

Didn't realise quite how mad it obviously went!

I was in Sydney, walking round every pub and bar looking for somewhere showing it!! Nowhere did, was gutted. Had to check online at about 3am.

And...what's wrong with that? They outsung us for basically the whole game if I remember rightly.

Brilliant way to end a game (or a season).

But never tops beating Spurs in the FA cup after being 2 down for me

As I wasn't there that day, Leeds has to be the best game for me.

But I did watch the Spurs game on tv, and it was quality.

fooking immense. I've never celebrated a goal like that before. That is my underlying memory of Steve Howard

Makes me shiver just watching that video. Awsome!

was at home hungover to fook after a night out - had some mates round who I effectively forced to come over - went beserk jumping around - got back on the beers immediately. It still gives me a buzz and makes me smile. What a moment.
