Foxhateram Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 At a point of the Season when one moment of good luck could seal our promotion does anyone have any rituals they do before games or anything they think give them good luck for a game.......? I have one which is a bit weird but i swear it does give us good luck for a game. When i see a fox before a game it guarantee's a good result , i.e. last Thursday i saw a fox on my jog and boom a result on Saturday, I also saw one before the Forest game. I also saw one yesterday so lets hope it gives us some luck this weekend as well.
Meadow Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 Personally i like to wear my lucky socks. Not kidding if we get a good result then i ll wear them the next game!
Craig Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 These past two seasons I've always gone through the same turnstile, with the same guy operating it. Only two times has the guy not been there, and they were the Bristol and Reading matches
KFS Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 We never lose when the South Eastern lot come up. Guess whose coming the last two games of the season. :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
ScouseFox Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 My lucky scarf. Only home game i've not been to since Christmas when i got is was Reading... I'll be wearing it on Saturday, no matter how hot it is.
Unit Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 Edit: not sure where that all came from, but yeah I can only cut my toenails the day after a match...
Fox92 Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 I always think that we'll loose if I don't wear football socks, thats why I now wear them to every game because once I forgot to wear them and we lost. Also, we changed car parks for the game against Nottingham Forest and although we have had a couple of bad results since that game, we still park there.

ScouseFox Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 I also buy a programme off the same guy every week, even if the other's have no queue.
Daggers Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 I sacrifice a virgin and drink her blood. But, living in Birmingham, [insert obvious dearth of virgins gag here]
sdb Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 never buy a programme, haven't lost a game i've attended since Southampton away in...08?! But the superstition goes back to when I regularly attended back in 04. if i'm not at a game and we go ahead, i say/sing/whisper/chant (depending on where i am) 'Come on Leicester' until we've won or the other team score! Quite strange I know, all started when Cottee scored at Old Trafford!! I was about 9 and ran around the garden saying it and we saw the game through!
Foxhateram Posted 16 April 2010 Author Posted 16 April 2010 Can you buy a pet fox? Well maybe everyone can put a pound towards it and its upkeep. Like adopt a fox sort of thing?
CosbehFox Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 Interestingly, my mate's been borrowing his season reviews as he's been coverting them from VHS to DVD. Watched one before Cardiff game...win. Watched one before P'boro game...win. Got 96/97 to watch tonight.....?

I wasn't sure what the outcome of this thread would be. I could have got ridiculed for being stupid or people could agree with me glad that in the end the latter happened.
AoWW Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 I sacrifice a virgin and drink her blood. But, living in Birmingham, [insert obvious dearth of virgins gag here] I think you'll still have the same problem when you're living in Ketterin'.
hairy Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 The night before every match I drink at least two bottles of newcastle brown.
Fosse Boy Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 I've actually started wearing the same polo shirt to games until we lose. Then I change it. Anyone else noticed how we always win when flares get let off?
AmericanScott Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 Whenever i work with this one girl at work on a matchday we don't lose. Sadly, she only works thursday and fridays but she does the odd saturday. I'm pretty sure her record now is Played: 5 W: 4 D: 1 L: 0 the draw was MK Dons away. She's not in tomorrow... <_<
The Doctor Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 always wear the same underwear until we lose then it gets changed & read a program from a previous win against the opposition the night before. Sometimes i look to play and beat the team we're playing on FM or Fifa. edit: for the winter games there's also a lucky fluffy blue scarf - never lost when i've worn it.
Sods Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 Its that much of good luck charm i wouldn't tell anyone.
dpjfox Posted 16 April 2010 Posted 16 April 2010 i always wear a green top , usually works, green tomorrow!
gregdj Posted 17 April 2010 Posted 17 April 2010 i always wear a green top , usually works, green tomorrow! April 2nd, 1982, Villa park, Spurs V Leicester FA cup Semi Final, I bought a blue & white floppy cap, I thought it looked quite good. wore it through out the game we lost 2-0. wore it to a few more games, all of them lost. It went with me to quite a few games in the Pleat era, never seeing a sucess.I decide It may have some sort of curse so when Brian Little took over it started leaving it in the wardrobe upstairs and hey, we started winning. It was about this period, just as my son was becoming aware of footy that it aquired the nick name of the 'lucky hat', a diliberate misnomer. I re-discoverd it in the top shelf of the wardrobe about 5 yrs ago and decided to give it another outing to blackburn for the FA cup qtr final. my son and his friends are mid to late twenties now, and big enough to bully me. Dads 'lucky hat' still lives on the top shelf of the wardrobe but I am not allowed to give it a chance now to redeem itself.
ramboacdc Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 my friend refuses to look at the shoes hanging off the power line near filbert street before the game or we will lose. i looked at them once and we drew 0-0 with brighton
Narborough_fox Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Never missed buying a program at any match I have been too until yesterday when they were sold out, first ever game I have not go a program not a good luck charm just a thing I do!
