This is true. I also happens when I read a book that has been made into a film or TV series. I always read the characters in the voice of the person who played them (Though in the case of someone like Jack Ryan, this can be difficult.) - in fact I recently read an Alex Cross book, so Mr Freeman featured prominently.

Having said that, it doesn't happen when I reread a book that I read before it was a film - like Lord of the Rings for instance. Though in those cases you usually end up complaining that the characters are acted nothing like they way you imagined from the book, so they stay as you originally imagined them.

Nothing happens when you tilt the screen back. It still reads exactly the same...

It might only work on laptops, but when you tilt the screen back it is like playing with the contrast and reveals a hidden message.
