Fosse Boys - Leicester City Ultras

all this about the fosse boys its getting pretty boring even that dick stringer is mentioning it on the radio ffs when does it stop. I dont care about a bunch of students who put stickers up everywhere and sing. . why not just move to the east stand if you want to stand and sing,

We don't want to be in L1 as we feel that people in there are two intent on having shit "banter" with the away fans rather than actually supporting the team. The KOP is supposed to be where the noise comes from, not the ruddy east stand!

I heard a few were turned away for trying to bring in flags as this is against the charter signed by the Fosse Boys?

I think I owe some people apologies for my part in causing them some problems, for going to L1 for 70 minutes when I should have left, and thanks for fighting on my behalf.

You the one in the hat with the black Iron Maiden t shirt?

How did you manage to get in L1, as i was sure you were part of the Fosse Boys

mate the kop is at the other end of the ground, no one can hear you in the east stand. take the old filbert street, away fans helped make the atmosphere. good luck with what your doing but it will never work.

No flags with poles were attempted to be brought into the stadium by any fosse boys member today, someone did have a flag took off them though which was in a bag of confetti which got permanently confiscated for the whole of the game.

I see.

Confiscating confetti is bang out of order and if i was asked to do that to somebody i would walk out of the job. My guess, although you can correct me, is that a steward got a bit over eager and his supervisor had to back him up until he got a verdict from the man on the radio.

I'm a member of the FB. Never hid the fact. I can understand why the majority left today. That was their decision, they pay their money, they do as they please. But I can also understand the argument of "why leave?, Stay and support the team."

I stayed, not only to support the team, but it just made travelling from Nottingham seem pretty pointless for 3 mins of football. So whatever, I stayed.

The stewards are by and large decent people (as people have stated), but there is an element of them who become power-crazy. They said that confetti was some sort of fire hazard and confiscated what we had. They then tried to get a few fans infront of us to remove their flags from the seats (didn't hear the reason why....anyone clear this up?). From what we thought we guessed along similar lines i.e. flags not having fire safety certificates...?? If this was the case, then that's an own goal as the flags were the kind you buy from the club shop....but in the end, they left these fans alone and let them keep the flags on the seats - as they have done for as long as I've been going in SK1.

I just think today, the stewards were out to disrupt us (on orders no doubt). Personally I feel walking out is letting them win, which is why I stayed and supported the team. A couple of the FB were having a chat with a couple of stewards when all of a sudden about 15-20 Kopites came across in support, and regardless of all the politics and shite I think they deserve a massive thank you! As does the rest of the Kop who sang in support of us.

The "Supporters, not customers" chant was pretty darn great imo. I can understand fans getting peeved about "oh, the bloody FB again, it's all about them" etc etc. But it just goes to show, if you fight (stay in the ground) you get the support of the fans nearby - this today was shown when that chant got going and went for a good 10 mins.

Inspite of some comments made about the club having 'mongy fans' (whose club doesn't?) this club has some great fans and today we saw (and heard) from a few of them in the Kop. Fair play

don't matter none. they wernt supporting the team by leaving the stand they were acting like kids. its a forum and were aloud to say what we think - deal with it.

Well if the brain of the forum says we're wrong, that's the word for me. Seriously, do you ever post anything of value?

That's what people are trying to change i.e. get the whole ground going rather than just pockets.

Oh and my ST is already in L1 thanks

Ah, so you bought another ticket for SK1 today then, or just thought you'd go up there? Sounds petty, but if you were serious, you'd get your tickets sorted as a group and sit in your allocated seats. You just give stewards a legitimate reason to kick you out...

Oh and FYI, the FB are 'pocket creating'. Half our fans don't know who you are, a quarter don't care either way and a minority actively don't like you. Saying the FB will get our fans going is crazy...

Let's just say I don't much care for "We heard you ran from the/You're just a small town in Blackpool" and "Yuki, he'll eat your ****ing dog".

You missed the most noteworthy chant after you left.

"Yuki! Gives us a wave!"

Followed by "He don't understand. He's japanese. He don't understand." after he ignored them. Went on for a good 5 minutes, it got a chuckle out of me tbf lol

Then stop reading threads about it you fvcking spanner. The Fosse Boys aren't turning up at your house and having a good moan about the stewarding at the Walkers whilst you're trying watch the telly. This is a thread about the Fosse Boys and their goings on, yet a bunch of daft cvnts click on it to then just to then moan they're bored of hearing about them. They get a few seconds on radio Leicester here and there or the odd column inch in the mercury but if you just stopped reading this you'd pretty much be unaware of the 'drama' which you apparently dislike.

Anyway, fair play to them for walking out if they think that's what will keep the group strong and working towards the aim of improving the atmosphere in the long-run. Maybe it will, maybe it won't but 20,000 people have proved that doing exactly what Kevin Barclay and the stewards want for 8 years certainly hasn't so this must be worth a pop.

I now no longer need to post on this subject, brilliant words!

Right, here's what happened.

Went to the ground as per normal and tried to get to where all of us normally stand together. However, there were stewards posted on the aisles of SK1 and SK2 checking everyone's tickets. So, a few were denied entry to where we normally are (and were subsequently moved to seats that didn't correspond with those on their tickets). As if that wasn't enough, we tried to bring bags of confetti up to SK1. Now, the reasons we were told we couldn't bring them in were...

a) "You could technically throw them". Yeah, those little square inches of paper could really do some serious damage to the away fans 150 yards away couldn't they?

and...

b) They're a fire hazard and require a fire certificate to be allowed into the ground.

Yep. I'm serious. That's what we were told. Little square bits of paper require fire safety cetificates to be allowed into the ground. So, what about other flammable items such as clothes, newspapers, programmes? Hell, surely the fire certificates for those items would require their own fire certificates because certificates are flammable?!

And, as if to justify their decision the stewards took their case to the people who sit in front of the group, who have brought their flags to the ground since it opened, and told them they were unsafe. You can talk to them about it, you can talk to me about it, you can talk to anyone in the vicitnity about it. That's the truth.

The final straw for myself and a lot of other lads in the group came when they wouldn't allow Mike, who has stood with us all season without issue, to stand with us. He was escorted by 3/4 stewards to L1.

Now I'm sorry, I love Leicester City and I love spending my Saturdays watching them and cheering them on, but if the club are going to continually decide to victimise a small section of their fanbase for such petty and unnecessary reasons then I'm just wondering how long I should bother to give them my financial, physical and vocal support? They're trading on our loyalty and in return believe they can do what the fuck they like to us.

I have no reason to want to criticise the club I love, and when we set up this group the last thing we wanted was confrontation with its employees. But when one man at the club (guess who) decides to take such a bullying stance against ordinary supporters like ourselves purely for his own satisafaction (I say this because just about all the stewards we've encountered, whether they've meant it or not, have said "I love what you're doing" and seem to be on our side) you just begin to wonder whether it's worth your time, money and effort if you're gonna be treated this way every Saturday?

We're far from trying to be attention seekers, martyrs, or whatever else. All we want to do is support the City, and yet we're perpetually targeted for the most minimal of reasons.

So this is now a case of 'if you don't like it shut the fook up?' Which doesn't seem logical to me.

Granted, throwing insults about isn't the way to go, but this thread surely cannot be a 100% hard-on for the Fosse Boys, constructive (note the word CONSTRUCTIVE) criticism from people looking into the Fosse Boys world who feel they have faults are surely allowed to pipe up and say so.

If not, then the group will never learn, and will never evolve and expand in a way which will ensure its success. Because whatever the case at the moment, they aren't getting on too well with the heirachy at LCFC, and couping themselves up into a 'NO CRITICISM' group will only harm them in the long term, as it does ever more become an 'us vs. them' situation, whoever is supposed to have created that gaping wedge.

I'm really not sure what to do now to be honest.

May relocate to L1. May just stubbornly carry on. May hand in my season ticket like ARAB. I genuinely have no idea.

Advice from somebody who can construct a grammatically passable sentence would be appreciated.
