What we feared, Pearsons Departure!

o dear then :sweating:

milan needs to get his hand in his pocket anyway and give the new manager (or pearson if he stays) some freaking cash

you cant expect to get promoted if your biggest signings of the season are always loan signings.

Not true. Charlie Adam apart Blackpool managed it this season.

He gave cash to the wrong people a few years ago, the piggy bank is running on empty so we need to be tight to avoid doing a Palace.

yeah but at the start of the season blackpool were like 20th favs to get promoted

was an amazing feat to get them promoted with that team

It isn't confirmed, but I get the feeling it nearly is. Not happy.

New manager? I'd probably go for O' Driscoll at Doncaster if at all possible.

Ha, you obviously don't know Leicester fans very well. Most of our lot expect champions league football and will accept nothing less. :frusty:

We've had Uefa Cup before, only natural to want to progress to the next stage ;)

We'll end up with someone that none of us want.

Probably John Gregory or someone as desperate to get back into management.

This isnt as bad as people are making out. Pearson is a good manager but he is replaceable. Just such a shame that he didnt think he could see the job through here.

Wouldn't surprise me if Mandric sells up pretty soon as by the sounds of things the fans are pretty much laying the blame on NP's departure at his door.

There's only so long anyone will put up with critisism whilst losing £5m a year. Lets be honest, at his age he could just be sunning it up on some island somewhere rather than having to deal with this shit day in day out.

What we feared another topic!

Then someone should tell Mark that his new policy of not merging threads is as fvcking stupid as Mandaric's manager contract offers.

I really rate Pearson but... As he was a defender I think we lost out in our strike force last season a bit. Even though our defence was pretty much perfect last season, the cover was sometimes poor. I know that's down to mandy but Nige has a say too. Maybe an ex striker or maybe even a City player(!) would bring more goals in over our good back line and we'll be a big force. Obviously Nige is my first choice, don't want our team to have to adapt. Just something to mull over...

It may not be official news just yet, but it looks likely that come Monday Nigel Pearson will be the new Hull City Manager. I cannot catch my breath to understand why Pearson would consider Hull a step up or even a side ways move away from the Foxes, its more of a step down. If he was to leave for a Premiership team then I say good luck to him, but Hull, a team in financial disarray and a bleak future which was echoed on the Football Phone in on a Monday evening some weeks ago by the former star Peter Swan. Has he had a fall out with Milan or is Milan on the brink of leaving causing Pearson's uncertainty on his foxes future, only time will tell.

Pearson was for me the key signing this summer and it would appear Mr Mandaric has failed in his quest to keep hold of the best Manager since Martin O'Neill, he has had a fantastic two seasons, if he does leave will he take Yann Kermogrant with him ???

I hope Nigel remains but if it is not to be then for a potential replacement I say:

Yes to:

Phil Brown (1st choice), Tony Mowbray, Andy Scott (Brentford), Paul Lambert (Norwich - unlikely due to new contract), Steve Walsh, Dave Jones (Cardiff), Simon Grayson, Alan Shearer

Would consider:

Paul Jewell, Ronnie Moore (Rotherham), Kenny Jackett (Millwall)

Definatly no to:

Chris Coleman, Gareth Southgate, Paul Hart, Glenn Hoddle, Paul Ince, Gianfranco Zola, John Gregory (never in a million years), Iain Dowie, Paolou Sousa (Swansea)

THIS IS THE WORST NEWS TO COME OUT OF THE WALKERS STADIUM SINCE THE RELEGATION TO LEAGUE ONE, COME ON LEICESTER SORT IT OUT !!!!!

You'd say yes to Alan Shearer or Steve Walsh and no to Paulo Sousa or Zola???

Phil Brown was immense at Hull and was shat on from a great height when he was booted out, got a raw deal.

He was great when he over spent by millions - why do you think they're in the financial shit. When he had to manage on a shoestring, even with expensive players in the squad he turned to the natural shit he was before.

Hi Liverpool fan here but as i live in leicester obviously i have a big intrest in them too......

my thoughts are nigel pearson is making a big mistake, hull will have big expectations to go straight back up and as we all know getting out of the championship is one of the hardest leagues to get out of. If he fails to get promotion he could even get sacked, anything less than promotion with them would be a failure.........could set him back a few years as a boss

At leicester again expectations are still pretty low as last season was above expectations and with little money in the transfer kitty no1 expects leicester to get promotoed this season,

Im suprised hes even considering a move there to be honest, would be better again performing higher than expectations at leicester for a bit more and raising his profile to get a middle line premiership job maybe.

Piss off you thieving bastard and get a job

It will be interesting to see what NP says on the matter. Maybe he will say he thought he taken us as far as he can.

Having thought he was a loyal, honourable man he certainly has surprised me with this sideways, if not backwards step to Hull, infact definitely backwards step for me.

A club who were lucky to survive in the PL for one season, have hardly any fans, little history, and i'm pretty sure Hull has been voted one of the worst cities in live in the country in some books i've seen, and also has the worst performing police force in the UK in 2006.

Why MM didn't just offer him big wages months and months ago when the season was still on i don't know. Pearson is going there for the money just like players do.

what a ****.

Apologies on behalf of the (seemingly dwindling) decent posters on here. Your original comment was fair enough and didnt deserve such a pathetically puerile response.

I'm interested to know why people say no to Paulo Sousa.

He's had Swansea playing some lovely stuff and if not for a lack of goals they'd have made the play-offs with few problems. They defend well and only needed some more firepower to go up. With our already strong defence, decent ball players like King and Wellens in midfield and Fryatt up front, we could become a dangerous side with Sousa at the helm. :dunno:

Thank fuck Karl Rudham's not our chairman.

Sousa is a right stylish bastard as well.

The man could wear a blown up johnny on his head and still look cool.

Bet he'd get the female supporter through the turnstile. You sure as shit can't say that about Iain fvcking Dowie.
