Nigel Pearson gone

You're welcome for your career being set up Nige, cheers.

Wouldn't be too fussed if he'd gone somewhere with decent prospects in the Prem but this is pretty embarrassing to be honest. Hull? FFS. Such a pointless side. Hope they get relegated and Pearson is a massive failure. Thanks for the two years, but you chose your path now.

Shame to see Shakespeare and Walsh ship out as well, they seemed vital members of the staff and I do worry if they will be the last out the door..:(

As for the next gaffer I expect a Dowie type appointment, seems we're short on cash and one of the merry-go-round managers will be cheapest.

Give it a rest, you're just making yourselves look small time now.

Will we ever be told the real reasons ? i doubt it , it will end up a cover up job Pearson won't be allowed to divulge as part of his being allowed to go & Mandaric won't tell us the truth as usual.

listening to talksport & even both presenters on there are classing as pearsons move to hull as a backward step & are totally shocked at the news

Glad it's over, hopefully the search for a new man doesn't last any longer than a week. As for Pearson at Hull, I couldn't care less how he does, I will never be bothered about the fortunes of Hull City Football Club for as long as I live.

Well considering it says he's supported City since 1976, it's pretty obvious he has

Cheers then Pearson.

Got to get over this now, need to see the positives, we have a squad ready to compete for the top half in place, players such as N'Guessan and Adams will only develop further and can see them both stepping up this year.

The squad is another year more experianced with Hobbs, Morrison, King and Weale all getting regular 1st team championship football.

Reports of Tunchev being close to being fit again and half of the season we missed Matty the saviour Fryatt.

If we are looking at players that could leave, I can't see Hobbs leaving after the words of what he has said about Leicester in the past, get him nailed as captain and he will stay. King has just signed a 5 year contract hasn't he? Fryatt still owes us something you could say, Morrison? okay I would like to keep the lad but he is replaceable. Who else could he go for that we couldn't afford missing is Wellens, however only just signed, Mandaric would want at least the money that we paid and more.

A new manager will obviously see things in a different perspective, which has its benefits and obviously could get it completely wrong, I just hope we keep the core of this squad which I see no reason in why we wouldn't and kick on under the new manager and continue to play for the shirt.

The main thing I am dissapointed about is the backroom staff leaving they definately could half find a talent, but their is more Walsh and Shakespeares around.

I will be going next year, so all those tossers wanting a refund as Pearson won't be hear, make sure you doing come back in April when were fighting for the play offs again.

THIS.

I will be majorly pissed off if Dowie gets the job, I mean i fvcking hate the guy. But i will still be there wether it be playoffs, relegation or mid table mediocrity because I Love Leicester City.

Cheers Nige, Shame about the tossers behind the scenes.

I mean.... what have the Premier League ever done for us Reg?

what are you one about?

Both us and hull have a squad of similar quality, A similar sized stadium and fanbase, reasonable chance of going up within the next couple of seasons.

The only difference is Hull are recieving parchute payments - Meant to be used to cover the cost of relegation while the wage bill is reduced etc. not spent willy nilly in the hope of an immediate return - and we aren't.

yes it is a cover up and ive heard this from a very reliable source

pearson was forced out bcus he had a big bust up with a certain member of the board, it was as much as a shock to him as it was to us, its all a cover up and they pushed him out to hull bcus they offered a good compensation deal for him with him having a year left on his contract!!!!! i mean com on... hull city!!!!! theres no way pearson would have chose them over us.....! and you only have to read mandrics statements that you can so tell its false!!

My View...

NP did a good job in his 2 seasons. Rarely purchased a poor player, did have the odd falling out with decent footballers which was baffling. I liked his attitude always playing down the hype that surrouds modern football, it seemed to keep the pressure off of the players at crucial times.

Him as a man however I never really took too. I think it was his abrupt manner. I don't think he was or ever is going to be the most charismatic person, but he knew how to get a team to play well over the course of the whole season.

Tomorrow LCFC will still be here. So will all the fans, only the staff at the club move on, we just watch & hope for their success.

Mandaric who is not a personal favourite of mine will make an appointment, and following his history of picking managers it will most likely be a poor one. Than again knock on enough doors and you will get the answer you want.

I don't have an extreme opinion on this situation, I don't hate or feel let down, this is a part of football & Pearson for many speculative reasons feels that for him a move away is better, even how much that may great with us LCFC fans who probably see Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul City as an odd step when leaving Leicester especially seeing that their financial state is similar to ours. MAybe its for money... Maybe its for potential success??? I don't know I just know he put our club back to a respectable position, Cheers Nigel

More positively... I look forward to an even more successful manager coming in and taking Leicester forward and maybe even into the Automatic promotion places. It is possible seeing the state of the clubs coming down, the ones who have come up & the ones we mostly beat last season.

Also the Polak might be daft enough to pump his dough in to LCF??? You never know.

Chins up... Blue Armeh

You've hit the nail on the head. Similar clubs in all respects except the fact that Hull City probably have a few mill extra in the bank, making the manager's job just a tad more attractive don't you think? And for all the squealing going on on this message board ("Hull? ffs!" etc) the simple facts are that Pearson's new club has a battle-hardened squad used to playing at a higher level with a bit of money to spend to improve further. Recent history shows that however crap a team might be in the Prem, it's usually good enough to piss the Championship.
