filbertway Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Well, it seems there is nothing the club can do to persuade him to stay, so he's going to take a gamble at Hull. He clearly likes a challenge so it's not a great shock to me, thanks for the two years to all three members that have left as all three have clearly played big parts. Let's hope the financial sitatuion isn't so bad that we can't keep hold of the squad we currently have. And the new appointment, i'm not sure whether to be excited or nervous...
Dylan Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Surely Hull isnt a step forward and is just a sideways/backwards move. We've got a decent youngish squad- just as good as Hull's imo. Can see NP failing at Hull- with expectations there being too high. Hopefully we get a new decent manager- but can unfortunately see us being stuck with shit managers in the next few years, just like before NP
kitty_katt_83 Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Good point about Hobbs, what players do you reckon will follow him up there? Cant see many Trickyfox. Or am i just being optimistic?!
Mee Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Cant see many Trickyfox. Or am i just being optimistic?! I can't see any going with him, i think all the players have mostly settled in here and want to stay.
LeicesterLuke Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Such a shame to see him go. Finaly got a decent manager then this. Get Milan out. What now, league 1 again? Saturday 16th October. Carnt wait.
G-OIMC Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 theonly thing you've got that is big is the humber bridge you armhole £43 MILLION DEPT HAHAHAHAHA..YOU WILL BE THE NEXT LEEDS...ADAM PEARSON DISTROYED DERBY HE WILL DO THE SAME TO YOU...LOVED HOW HE APPOINTED DOWIE TO KEEP U IN THE PREM..WAS HE STUPID??

Ozwin Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Hobbs said he wanted to become a legend here, he's not going anywhere. Plus I reckon we'd valuate him out of Hull's reach. Fryatt strikes me as someone who loves the club. Only Prem sides could afford what we'd ask for him so Hull have no chance. King is my biggest worry, in every transfer window I'm always waiting for Villa to come along and take him I think we'll have pretty much everyone here come the end of the season, we just need a few additions because our squad is tiny, it was even with all the loanees at the end of last season. This should probably be in another topic but w/e.
cambridgefox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Time will tell to see how good pearson is.When Hull struggle and we better last season,i will laugh my C**K off!
Manwivaplan Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Grumpy Bit p.m.t'(ish)- I can say that im a laydee! Not very forthcoming in press interviews, bearing on the brink of being quite rude. But you have gained a good manager. I wont wish you luck for the season and beyond Sorry kitty, you miss understtood. Not a hull fan at all,am col utd,but other halfs family all from leicester way,and other hlf born there but brought up here....Her claim to fame was when she was born, lineker and other leicester players visited the hospital,a xmas treat, and he kissed her on the forehead.....As her family has all but her nan, gone,we havent been there since 2002.and as my rep job has me seeling all down the east coast,,leicester is way more attractive place to live! ..Hull is full of short no garden terraced houses, with real ugly housewives in them to greet you..Thats why my girlfriend dont mind me selling there! ..Only one worse place,portsmouth......

Sealing down the east coast!!! when paul mccartney finds out he will go mental!

kitty_katt_83 Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 I can't see any going with him, i think all the players have mostly settled in here and want to stay. Even though most of them will have loved playing under Pearson I do feel (hope) they feel a move to Hull will be a sideways step like the rest of us! <_< I've read of a few websites now that Adam Pearson has come out and said they only have the money to do deals in free transfers or loan deals. Work than one out!! Obviously spent all the cash on compo for Pearson and his wages!! They'll be a couple i dont mind leaving!!!
dhermon Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Odd move if he is doing this to progress his career unless Hull make a HELL of a lot of tranfers then not even NP can get them up this season the avg age of their squad is very VERY high 20's and their best player JB is off to Celtic on loan if you believe sky news. Unlike City who have good young pros only likely to improve over the coming months all we need is the right man manging & running the club
Ozwin Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 No chance King leaving. He's just signed a 4 year deal Would cost ALOT of money to buy him. How did I miss that? Great stuff then, I think we're a perfect fit for Sousa.

Mee Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 How did I miss that? Great stuff then, I think we're a perfect fit for Sousa. In my opinion i think Sousa would be good as well. But the only thing is Swansea did not score a lot last year. Is that because they didn't have a decent strike force, or was is the manager?

All is forgiven!
Asha Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Cheers for everything Nigel. Two fantastic seasons has restored pride in my team that I was losing with every progressively worse Championship season until eventual relegation. I'll certainly applaud him politely when he returns when Hull visit the Walkers, but I really hope Hull City continues to fook itself and finish low down in the table.

I must have missed all the palatial estates of Leicester last time I was there.
surrifox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 see ya Nige - thanks for the good stuff you did in your stay here. Good luck with sorting out all the overpaid time serving numpties that Hull have collected over the past couple of years
lovelcfc Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 thank you nigel for the two great seasons but i dont think we should have dowie or ince or chris coleman ALAN CURBISHLEY would love to see him here with the link with powell aswell
Manwivaplan Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Sealing down the east coast!!! when paul mccartney finds out he will go mental! ,this is what happens when you try using ifone for qucik surfimng, there it goes again! surfing!..On a train
Trickyfox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 If no players leave then we have to get a new manager fast!!! Thinking about players like Hobb's - they would maybe only leave for Prem sides. I see that Fulham may need a new man, thought NP would have gone for that, not Hull?
Bettsj2 Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 I support Leicester, I take 6 hours out of my Saturday travelling up from South East England to get to Leicester. If Iain Dowie is appointed it would be an unmitigated disaster and I'm not prepared to waste my time accordingly. No offence but thats the biggest load of balls i've ever heard. Your support is conditional on your approval of whose in charge?
