Alexikokopops Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Well that's that sorted then. Now lets get cracking on finding a new manager.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 What Alex said. At least it's not hanging over our heads anymore... the blade has fallen!
MC Prussian Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Just when you thought the people in charge had rediscovered common sense and a belief in continuity, the circus starts again. Nigel, thank you for two of the best years ever. May you prosper at Hull just the same way you did here. Shame to see you go. Oh well, onwards and upwards.
Edmund Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Just hope we can bring the right man in quickly and preferably before pre season starts.
Houdini Logic Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Just when you thought the people in charge had rediscovered common sense and a belief in continuity, the circus starts again. Nigel, thank you for two of the best years ever. May you prosper at Hull just the same way you did here. Shame to see you go. Oh well, onwards and upwards. Fook off - hope they get relegated!
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 I hope that this comes back to bite him on the arse. The grass isn't always greener. Ask Mcghee, Megson etc.
Fosse Boy Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Fook off - hope they get relegated! This. Thanks for the memories NP, I'll always appreciate what you did here. Obviously has his reasons for doing this but I'm not gonna wish him luck. Hope Hull go down.
CupidStunt Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 On one hand i would like to say good luck with your new job, but on the other hand i want to say fook him Already pee'd off with England, and this has made it worse, so fook him just shades it atm
Ozwin Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 This. Thanks for the memories NP, I'll always appreciate what you did here. Obviously has his reasons for doing this but I'm not gonna wish him luck. Hope Hull go down. haha I was going to post this but thought it was a bit harsh and I'd get jumped on.
Samilktray Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 With a bit of luck he'll show hes a pretty average manager there.
darko2k7 Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Bye NP we will forever be grateful for turning this club around just wish we had the money to temp you to stay , but the club must come first im mix feeling in wishing you well cuz i hope you do well , but I hate hull city fans now I just hope we get someone in quick with a decent rep that our best named players will want to stay and play for and not follow NP out of the walkers
Bettsj2 Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 On one hand i would like to say good luck with your new job, but on the other hand i want to say fook him Already pee'd off with England, and this has made it worse, so fook him just shades it atm I absolutely agree. He's going to come up against tougher things in management than his chairman trying to sign Robert Pires. So if his reaction is to move any club whatsoever then he can get stuffed as far as i'm concerned. Yes he did a good job, but he's no O'Neill as some people have been suggesting.
samjohnson Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Its hard to know what to say... On one hand you have his success within 2 years here, arguably the best manager since O'Neill. But the other says what a greedy fecker. Left on "Joe Mattock terms"... Hope Hull fall back to where they once came from
Guest Mee-9 Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 haha I was going to post this but thought it was a bit harsh and I'd get jumped on. I agree Thanks for what you did here. But Hull?!
Tommeh Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Thanks but so long. Hope Hull go down, we tonk them twice and Pearson fails completely. Chosing a club like Hull over ours is still incredible, it's not being arrogant, all 90 other clubs will and have agreed. He's not a legend, not a hero and certainly not a saviour. Infact he is now nothing more than a rookie manager at a small club with baffling ambitions.
Number 6 Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 Also agree with the comments about Hull. As much as I appreciate Nige I cannot bring myself to want Hull to do well.
Edmund Posted 29 June 2010 Posted 29 June 2010 http://www.hullcityafc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10338~2080724,00.html? Shakespeare and Walsh also confirmed, surprised the O.S haven't mentioned it. The Club would also like to welcome Craig Shakespeare and Steve Walsh to the KC Stadium. Both men will be assisting Nigel in the roles of Assistant Manager and First Team Coach/Chief Scout respectively.Craig was Nigel's assistant at Leicester and previously worked alongside him on the coaching staff at West Bromwich Albion while Steve worked in the roles of assistant and Head of Recruitment at the Walkers Stadium. He was previously Chief Scout for Chelsea and Newcastle United.
