im sorry hull are shit there an old 4th division club thats had a bit of financial backing and a bit of luck getting to the prem....they are not on a parr with leicester at all

at this moment in time they are - You look at their squad - yes it wasn't good enough for the premiership but there are quite a few good players in there, surrounded by utter garbage (quite like leicester then). judging by the figures banded around in the original thread both clubs had similar attendances last year.

Wrong. Hull City rose through the divisions with no significant investment. What money there was initially came from having far higher attendances than other clubs in leagues 1 and 2.

When NP returns to The Walkers, I will not boo him, 'cos he did a very good job for the football club. However, I will not applaud him either. I would like to know the TRUE/REAL reason for him leaving City, there's plenty that we are not being told imo.

MM is likely to appoint someone who will work on the cheap, but God help us if it's Dowie, Hart or Coleman. Any of those 3 will lead us back to the 3rd div. Why the f--k would anyone employ these 3 tossers? FFS MM just look at their track records!!!

NP did a good job, but he was a miserable son of a bitch, he never really won the fans hearts, it was always a huge effort for him to give the fans a wave, Mr No Pe(a)rsonality.

DJ Cambell....It's a well known fact that NP had his favourites amongst the squad, & DJ wasn't one of them. So looking on the bright side, Holloway got him scoring goals. so why can't the new City manager do the same? Could be like a new signing for us, & if DJ has got any sense, he should look upon NP leaving as a clean break & fresh start for himself at City.

If MM or Hoos read any of this forum I hope they will realise how unpopular it would be to appoint Dowie.

Give credit where it's due, NP is a clever guy, so why would he make such a stupid move unless he had a damned good reason/ backed into a corner?

Lets get Curbishley in with Chris Powell as his no.2.

Need some truth, halfway through paying for mine and nephews season ticket and the thought of watching fooking hoofball with someone like Coleman at the helm grips my shit at a cost of £450 for the season.

I ask myself Pearson and Hull City - if he honestly thinks that its a good move then he wasn't the right man for us, simply not ambitious enough, however I am leaning towards the fact that we have a complete cvnt in control who has probably spent our ST money on non football matters leaving two thirds of piss all in the coffers for NFP to spend.

The official statement reads as if NFP has gone to Barcelona, instead of some shit northern doghole.

What a circus LCFC is, you really couldn't make it up.

Jesus, if that's the bright side then we are well and truly fucked. >_<

both clubs had similar attendances ..well that was good then for saying they was prem and we was championship..when we was in the prem we often filled the stadium to capacity....and there still shite in my eyes !!!

still a ridiculous move - all hull have that we don't is the parachute payments which would suggest that pearson is leaving for the money and nothing else. In which case he's a bit of a tw@t and can enjoy his one way trip back to league 1.

Yes and there's two things that you've got that we haven't, Manderic & your Chief Executive, I have a hunch that Pearson left because of one, possibly both, of those two and NOT because he simply thinks the grass is greener

If the stadium only has a 25k capacity, as the KC has, then that's all you're going to fit in Einstein. The fact is, most of our PL games would have sold out twice over if the stadium allowed.

pearson didnt want to leave he had no option. if the chairman makes an insulting offer compared to all the great work he had put in his position had become intenable.

if milan had offered him a 50% wage rise for example, do you think he would be chomping at the bit to join hull city?

his wage would have been a low one comparitively speaking as he was appointed when we were desolate and in league one so surely, given all he has achieved, he was worth making a respectable offer to?

he had built a team here and saw it as his.

this is certainly not a 'surprise' as milan insisted today in the mercury. coventry allegedly made an approach for pearson several weeks ago which supporters laughed off but clearly there was something in it for a club like coventry to approach our then manager. clearly coventry knew about mandaric and pearsons strained relationship otherwise they would not have bothered. a happy relationship between pearson and hoos/mandairc would mean he would still be the manager and not at hull city

Cheers for an enjoyable and successful two seasons Pearson but no man is bigger than the club so .

Hopefully Hull get tonked this year then, and I for one will be happy to see it.

funny that mandaric, despite being on holiday, was able to negotiate a compensation package given the surprise nature of hulls approach

He's clearly not on holiday. It's just an easy way of ignoring people for a few days while it all hits the fan.

We'll probably never know the real reason NP has left.

However IMO he probably felt that he had done all that he could do at the club.

He took us to within a couple of games from the Premiership, which taking everything into account was a remarkable acheivement.

Had he stayed would not the fans expectations have been higher?

Had we failed to live up to these expectations early in the season MM may well have sacked him.

So maybe this also was a reason to move on.

Despite what we may or may not believe about what has happened, I for one will simply say thanks Nigel for giving us 2 enjoyable seasons and giving us hope that we would return to the PL.

Good Luck, until your team play us.

Well that's a bummer. The air certainly went out of my optimism balloon with Pearson, Shakespeare and Walsh leaving. I just hope this doesn't mark the start of a new disaster period for the club...

Hull.... Hull!

It's not the fact he's gone, that I can understand - but to go to a club like Hull, that's the real slap in the face.

Hull!

ffs

This ^^^^

Grateful for what he did getting us back up to Championship and very close to return to Premiership but a bizarre move that could ruin his reputation and a side ways step at best. I'm certainly wishing Hull all the worst next season!

Will we ever be told the real reasons ? i doubt it , it will end up a cover up job Pearson won't be allowed to divulge as part of his being allowed to go & Mandaric won't tell us the truth as usual.

This.

yes it is a cover up and ive heard this from a very reliable source

I was to informed of this.

Curbishley will probably go to Fulham.

And as for DJ seeing it as a clean break, well what about the (tens of?) thousands of fans who despise him?

I dont like the guy, but if he hits the back of the net enough times next season then I wont be moaning.

thanks for the manager and the 6 points next season

 Grow up

As for the poster would said hull could sell tickets to reach 50,000 in the prem . . . :crylaugh:

No mate.
