Bellend Sebastian Posted 14 July 2010 Posted 14 July 2010 The reality is that criminality is a fluid concept, and hence there will always be a proportion of society who are criminalised, and they will tend to feel victimised by a police force who believe just as strongly that they are doing good work and keeping society safe. So there have always been people like this who will sympathise with one of their own, and rail against the abuse real or imagined of the police. I'm sure you're right, it's probably nothing new at all. I posted in another thread ages ago, and partly in jest, that the internet has given a voice to people that otherwise wouldn't have their opinion heard outside of their social circle, opinions that in a lot of cases you probably wouldn't want to hear. It's the price of free speech, I suppose
Wymsey Posted 14 July 2010 Posted 14 July 2010 Why is everyone praising him on his facebook page? He's been arrested 12 times and shot three bloody people, killed one. This world is getting crazy.

ousefox Posted 14 July 2010 Posted 14 July 2010 28,000 dickheads in our country. Doesn't really suprise me tbh.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 14 July 2010 Posted 14 July 2010 Over 50 bouquets of flowers have been left at Moats home Picture of them in the BBC report below (though the number of over 50 comes from Virgin Media News) Moat sympathy condemned by PM Not sure about the proposal to take the Facebook page down - surely this will only "prove" to the idiots who have posted there that they are being oppressed and that Moat was a freedom fighter.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 14 July 2010 Posted 14 July 2010 I don't think it should be taken down either. I'm all for a high profile public debate about why these people are such massive divs though

I see no harm in friends of his leaving flowers at his home, he was after all their friend. The facebook page is just a bloody joke. Leave it up for all to see I say, at least we know who the morons are. 50% of the messages I read were undecipherable anyway........................bunch of fvcking retards.

I know lots of people who have died tragically who have had no where near 50 bouquets of flowers left for them in public. I'd wager a fairly large bet that at least half those bouquets are from people who never even met him.

Zingari Posted 14 July 2010 Posted 14 July 2010 people are just strange , I remember the streets were lined with thousands of mourners at the funerals of the Kray twins oh i've just remembered they never hurt women and kids though
Bellend Sebastian Posted 14 July 2010 Posted 14 July 2010 Morrissey sent a wreath to one of those, the daft bastard
l444ry Posted 14 July 2010 Posted 14 July 2010 Todays attack on Facebook is one of the most shameful PR scams amongst many The Sham has ever done. The fooking warped minded idiots who joined the "Fans of Raoul Moat" on Facebook are just that - fooking warped. To give them any sort of oxygen is nothing less than shameful. What next, will a member of the government be prowling around Facebook looking for webpages they can publically make a stand against? Has he not got anything more important to do in his job as PM than trawling through the internet looking for what weirdo's are putting on it. His real reason to jump on the site is to ride a populist wave of hate against a mad killer. Rightfully, the entire public, with exception of the weird and lunatics, are repulsed by what that madman did and Cameron, with help from his aides no doubt, thinks he has found a way of trying to look like he is standing up for them. Every time you think that The Sham can't go any lower to try and curry favour with the voters, he always goes that one step further down the sewer. There will never be anything sensitive enough or totally immoral enough for him to jump on a bandwagon, if he knows he could eek out an ounce of political gain from. The Sham , you are a publicity seeking, lying, repulsively dithering, two faced, intellectually defective, economically challenged, politically useless, pathetic first class obnoxious gobshite of an excuse for a politician and an even worse Prime Minister......there you go....that's another thing you can complain to Facebook about.
grth2004 Posted 14 July 2010 Posted 14 July 2010 wish they had blown his brains out on live tv , if you kill the police you deserve to die in a very bad way , rot in hell you scum bag moat
Fosse Boy Posted 15 July 2010 Posted 15 July 2010 wish they had blown his brains out on live tv , if you kill the police you deserve to die in a very bad way , rot in hell you scum bag moat I wouldn't put the life of a policeman above that of any other human being to be honest. We all deserve the same right to live.

Have you been drinking again? I think you may have inadvertently let your supressed loathing of new Labour, and their spin transfer onto the Prime Minister of the day....
hairy Posted 15 July 2010 Posted 15 July 2010 Have you been drinking again? I think you may have inadvertently let your supressed loathing of new Labour, and their spin transfer onto the Prime Minister of the day.... Not another day of left and right wing rants please.
Babylon Posted 15 July 2010 Posted 15 July 2010 Have you been drinking again? I think you may have inadvertently let your supressed loathing of new Labour, and their spin transfer onto the Prime Minister of the day.... Funny really considering his last sentence could be written about Blair or Brown also. Lets not forget Brown calling Susan Boyle and commenting on Jade "The Chav Princess" Goodey.... classy!!!!!!!!
Bellend Sebastian Posted 15 July 2010 Posted 15 July 2010 I'm a lefty and I thought that argument was bollocks (l444ry's I mean). Anyway Has anyone heard the tape recording released by Moat's family this morning? Rather than sounding like a chav anti-hero freedom fighter, he sounds reasonably articulate, calm but at the same time he's obviously paranoid and there's a sense of something not being quite right. I feel a bit more sympathy for him than I did, and less than ever for the divs who are applauding what he went on to do
Jon the Hat Posted 15 July 2010 Posted 15 July 2010 Funny really considering his last sentence could be written about Blair or Brown also. Lets not forget Brown calling Susan Boyle and commenting on Jade "The Chav Princess" Goodey.... classy!!!!!!!! I know!! Comedy... then again opposition is like that, keep mud slinging and hope it sticks. Shame really. I am sure one day soon I will get past the astonishment that anyone involved with New Labour has the gall to criticise the coalition for anything at all after the mess they made, and settle into acceptance that the role of opposition is indeed to challenge the Government etc. I think for many the credibility of Labour as opposition is limited until they break with the past and get some fresh faces on the front bench,
Jon the Hat Posted 15 July 2010 Posted 15 July 2010 I find it very hard to believe that a mentally stable individual would act as Moat did. He clearly had problems whether they were emotiional or mental and it is sad when that he was unable to deal with that in any sensible way. For this to lead to the devastation suffered by his victims is a tragedy for them.
Webbo Posted 15 July 2010 Posted 15 July 2010 "i bet if an immigrant did what he did they'd bloody get benefits not shot. bloody bastards. r.i.p raoul" Dear God. At least these sites save The Jeremy Kyle Show researchers having to hang around outside Lidl looking for new participants.

FoxyPV Posted 15 July 2010 Posted 15 July 2010 L444ry - you really need to tone it down. There's being a leftie and then there's being a tool. Politicians are for the most part opportunistic wankers and seek any excuse to curry favour with the electorate so to single out the arsehole that is Cameron for such a thing is just foolish.
