purpleronnie Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Here come the Best of 8 pairings: AS Roma - Shaktjar Donezk AC Milan - Tottenham Hotspur Valencia CF - Schalke 04 Inter Milan - Bayern Munich Olympique Lyonnais - Real Madrid Arsenal FC - Barcelona CF Olympique Marseille - Manchester United FC Copenhagen - Chelsea FC Bye Bye Arsenal.
Corky Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Chelsea and Man United should progress, can't see Arsenal going through.
purpleronnie Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Chelsea and Man United should progress, can't see Arsenal going through. Tough for man utd though, especially as they aren't playing as well as last year. Tough draw for all the english teams, except chelsea who must be happy with their draw.
Fox You Forest Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Apart from the Roma and Chelsea games the rest look like they could be good games, that Barca - Arsenal tie could be cracking to watch providing Barca don't pummel them too early. I fancy Spurs to do AC Milan.

Tough draw for all the english teams, except chelsea who must be happy with their draw. It will be tough for Man United, but being away first gives them an advantage. Not conceded away in this competition yet. Chelsea should be delighted, not sure about Spurs. I think they'll lose the first leg but will score a few at home.

Chelsea should be delighted, not sure about Spurs. I think they'll lose the first leg but will score a few at home. I think they have a really good record in CL when they play their first legs away. My early predictions to go through: Roma Spurs Valencia Inter Real Barca Man Utd Chelsea
pazzini Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 my outside bet of winning this years champions league is inter , all though struggling at the moment benitez is a real european expert
leicesterfox86 Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Anyone want to guess which Arsenal player David Villa bigged up in this interview aheadof the game? Go on, guess... Go on... You'll never get it. Oh, you did. <_<
StanSP Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Might as well bring this thread back up to stop individual match-threads being made. Arsenal 1-3 Barcelona (Van Persie; Messi, VIlla, Pedro) Roma 3-2 Shakhtar Donetsk They're my predictions!
StanSP Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Townsend defending Song's tackle. ****. Come on Barca.
MikeyT Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Ahhh man, i was searching for this thread last night and couldn't find it for the life of me.
ScouseFox Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Song's never going to survive the whole game like this. Barca 1 up, Messi with a through ball to Villa. Nice.
MikeyT Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 What a great game so far, and i agree, can't see Song lasting the 90.
ScouseFox Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Could be about 5-0 to Barca this, missed a few clear cut chances you'd expect Messi/Villa/Pedro to put in.
StanSP Posted 16 February 2011 Posted 16 February 2011 Song is walking a tightrope here. If it was Premier League, he'd have been sent off by now just for persistent fouling, which individually warrant a yellow card.
