Probably a little glad Barca went through but as a neutral who wanted an exciting game I'm annoyed by that red card.

Probably the worst thing I've ever seen. I actually think it was worse than Gary Parker getting sent off for taking a free kick too quickly. Seriously. I almost want to say it's the worst red card I've seen in my entire life.

Totally sympathise with Robin Van Persie right now. He has every right to be aggrieved with his red card. Referee's a bit of a tit.

Poor decision to send off Van Persie, but Barcelona were so dominant that I don't think it made a huge amount of difference.

But no worse than the one at the Emirates, who denied Barca a goal and penalty and let Song kick opponents in the air all evening.

Strange how quickly Whinger and the gooners forget about those incidents..

It was the worst single refereeing decision I have ever come across during my period of interest in the game, no more to say on that matter.

And also, why does pretty much everyone here seem to hate Arsenal? Not having a go or anything, just purely out of curiosity...

I think people always like to see the "big four" flop. You get the odd one or two that bum a certain team (Lofty and Liverpool, LD3 and Chelsea, etc) but for every one of them there's three or four Phubes and Matts floating around who just love a giggle at the big team's expense.

Can't say I'm fussed either way when it comes to Arsenal. I want to see them win the league because I'm fed up of Chelsea and United winning it (though I'd rather it be a Villa or a Spurs I suppose) and because I like their style of football but I was happy to see Barcelona knock them out and happy to see the better team go through tonight.

Agree with you on the ref front, though. I stand by what I said it was utterly shocking and as a neutral I felt it took the shine off the game.

Barca the better team on the night, but due to the sending off it'll always be a case of what if/ what could have been. The referee was disgusting.

Funny how Abidal is allowed to do this and Messi is allowed to deliberately handle the ball with no cards being shown. He wanted to do everything possible to make sure Barca got an easier passage.

On the night... The big difference... When arsenal got the goal that would of taken them through, they sat back and defended, when barca got the goal that put them through, they attacked and scored another.

And as for the red card, yes, ridiculous, but wenger was so rapped up in complaining that he didn't bring bendtner on until it was too late, in my opinion, having a striker sent off has much less impact on a game than a midfielder or defender, he could of quite simply brought fabregas off straight away and brought the striker on playing a solid 4-4-1.

In deciding not too for however long it was he let busquets join the midfield and alves and adriano were allowed to play practically up front as they had no one to defend against, meanwhile abidal is standing there with so little to do he could of had a sleep!!

No way Flamini should ever have been booked for that.

Bale on for Spurs, they need something to change the flow of the game.

Flamini's challenge was absolutely, categorically, no way on earth a yellow card. It was an unbelievably superb challenge, completely ripped the ball away and was as fair as it gets.

Spurs' performance was every bit as horrible as Arsenal's yesterday. Really gutted that Milan didn't score, to be honest. Only one team wanted to play football and Spurs was an absolute embarrassment considering they were at home. To play as well as they did away against Milan and to be as dull, unadventurous and void of any attacking intent as they were this evening makes a complete mockery of the term "football".

Sorry but if Milan were the team with the aggregate lead, do you think that they'd act differently to how Spurs have?

In all fairness to Tottenham, they weren't allowed to play any football at all from the first minute to the last. Milan were much the better team, but didn't cut it in the final third, mainly due to strength in numbers from Spurs at the back, sometimes having 9 or even all 10 outfield players around their own box.

If Milan had won at home and then gone away to Spurs with a lead, probably not. I just can't for the life of me understand how Spurs can be so good away but so, so poor at home. It's ridiculous.

People were delighted Arsenal got beat yesterday and Barca went through as they were "the better team" and "played the better football". Milan looked like the footballing team today and Spurs looked unable to cope without parking the bus. Can't understand why people will be so happy that the better footballing side have gone out.

David Pleat is an absolute tool. He made statement to this effect - on his day Modric is better than the Barcelona midfield. :nono:

Well battled Tottenham, outstanded by the amount of diving that the AC Milan players were doing tonight, Boateng in particular was embarrassing to watch for a guy of his build.

AC Milan must have had quite a few thousand their which was a decent effort. And does Capello really believe that Bale is the best player in the world at the minute? Shows how much he knows about football...
