ScouseFox Posted 7 December 2010 Posted 7 December 2010 What was the record? OptaJoe says they just conceded their first goal in CL football in 498 minutes. They would have been the first team to go through a whole group stage without conceding if they'd kept a clean sheet tonight according to SSN earlier.
Super_horns Posted 7 December 2010 Posted 7 December 2010 Would only come 2nd if they lose so Man U need a goal from their point of view.
StanSP Posted 7 December 2010 Posted 7 December 2010 Defoe puts Spurs back in the league. His first goals since August. Not a bad game!
Simmo86 Posted 7 December 2010 Posted 7 December 2010 What was it? I heard that the PA guy put it on a bit prematurely after the first penalty, but didn't hear it second time! Saints Are Coming - Green Day i think
StanSP Posted 7 December 2010 Posted 7 December 2010 Oh right. 3-3!! Good free-kick by Chadli. Brilliant bend on it and found a gap in the wall. Beckham would be happy with that effort. Harsh free-kick to be given though.
Edmund Posted 7 December 2010 Posted 7 December 2010 Cracking game at De Grolsch Veste. Twente fans sound quality. Definitely one or two more goals left in this.
Corky Posted 7 December 2010 Posted 7 December 2010 Spurs are banging the goals in, eight matches they've played in this and have scored at least 3 in six of them.
StanSP Posted 7 December 2010 Posted 7 December 2010 Referee is shit in this match. Has no control and caused the scuffle at the end! Same controversy over whether the ball should be kicked out when a player is down, even though it wasn't a head injury. But the team who's player is injured just stop chasing down the ball which causes the team to knock the ball out anyway. Silly rule I think.
Edmund Posted 7 December 2010 Posted 7 December 2010 Fairplay to Tottenham. Finished top of their group.
FoxyPV Posted 7 December 2010 Posted 7 December 2010 Benitez Raul's assist Lyon match had some craking goals in it
Mikey Posted 8 December 2010 Posted 8 December 2010 Anybody know about the "suspension" of the ŽILINA VS. SPARTAK MOSKVA game??
Poakey Posted 8 December 2010 Posted 8 December 2010 Anybody know about the "suspension" of the ŽILINA VS. SPARTAK MOSKVA game?? Just watching now, Flares on pitch causing poor visabilty.
SystonFox Posted 8 December 2010 Posted 8 December 2010 RVP puts arsenal 1-0 up from the spot, very good pen! partizan fans look class
StanSP Posted 8 December 2010 Posted 8 December 2010 Anybody know about the "suspension" of the ŽILINA VS. SPARTAK MOSKVA game?? Fireworks were being set off too apparently. Players came out and tried to diffuse situation but I think they're back underway now.
StanSP Posted 8 December 2010 Posted 8 December 2010 Teams to go in the draw next Friday for knockout stages: Group Winners: Tottenham Schalke Man Utd Barcelona Bayern Chelsea Real Madrid Shakhtar 2nd Place: Arsenal AC Milan Marseille Roma Copenhagen Valencia Lyon Inter Milan
MC Prussian Posted 8 December 2010 Author Posted 8 December 2010 Oh, Basle... Had a chance against a weakened Gayern side. Couple of really good chances in the first half, held up pretty well with 35 minutes played. Then a defensive error proved costly. The Bavarians score twice within three minutes. Naïve, utterly naïve.
BoneDog Posted 8 December 2010 Posted 8 December 2010 Sagna's red card looked a bit harsh but I only saw a quick replay of it just on SSN.
The Doctor Posted 8 December 2010 Posted 8 December 2010 Sagna's red card looked a bit harsh but I only saw a quick replay of it just on SSN. not much contact but he was the last man, denying a clear goal scoring chance, last man foul = red card, denying a clear goal scoring chance = red card. So he definately deserved to go.
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 Yeah definite red. Although it should be pointed out that there is no rule about last man=red card
StanSP Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 Yeah definite red. Although it should be pointed out that there is no rule about last man=red card There is about 'denying a goal-scoring opportunity' though, isn't there?
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 9 December 2010 Posted 9 December 2010 Yeah, hence why i said it was a definite red. It just bothers me that people think 'last man' is actually a rule.
MC Prussian Posted 17 December 2010 Author Posted 17 December 2010 Here come the Best of 8 pairings: AS Roma - Shaktjar Donezk AC Milan - Tottenham Hotspur Valencia CF - Schalke 04 Inter Milan - Bayern Munich Olympique Lyonnais - Real Madrid Arsenal FC - Barcelona CF Olympique Marseille - Manchester United FC Copenhagen - Chelsea FC
