Liamlcfc1 Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2115863,00.html Club Praises Travelling SupportLeicester City would like thank all supporters using the Fox Travel service at the weekend for their great patience in light of the excessive delays leaving Selhurst Park, in particular on the M25. The delays were due to an oil spillage which caused problems for the party of six Fox Travel coaches on their return journey. Leicester City praised the travelling fans for their conduct in light of the delays: A spokesman said "As a club we would like to thank the supporters for their incredible patience following the delays. Despite the trying circumstances, our supporters were first class." As one of the people stuck on coach 4 its nice to read this.
VampLCFC Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Yea I was on coach 5, took 7 hours to get home from London, complete nightmare!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Well done to everyone who went, support was great by all accounts.
Asha Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Yep. Didn't get home till quarter to one but that only made it a better day out.
Houdini Logic Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Did anyone else see the investors on the M25?
C-man Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Yep. Didn't get home till quarter to one but that only made it a better day out. Oh come off it. I know and respect that you enjoy using Fox Travel but how in any way can being stuck on a coach for 8 hours make it a better day out?
Liamlcfc1 Posted 9 August 2010 Author Posted 9 August 2010 Oh come off it. I know and respect that you enjoy using Fox Travel but how in any way can being stuck on a coach for 8 hours make it a better day out? Because u can have a laugh with the other fans on the way back like i did in coach 4.
Tommy G Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 i was on Coach 5 and it was a mare. Didn't help with kids on the back giggling and being loud while I wanted some kip
cityfan94 Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 As one of the people stuck on coach 4 its nice to read this. i was also on coach 4, the most annoying about it was when the bus driver decided to put the worst film ever on called kenny at 11:30pm, ive never hated a film so much in my life <_<
JCWfox Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 I was also on coach 5 and couldn't agree with you more how annoying were them kids on the back row!!
THE MAGICIAN Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Still can't believe some of the storys of how long it took for people to get back. I was sat at home eating my Chinese by 8:15pm, the use of Harrow and Wealdstone train station worked a treat yet again. For the record I thought our support was pretty impressive, keep it up guys and gals.
Corky Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Because u can have a laugh with the other fans on the way back like i did in coach 4. Couldn't you do that anyway? 8 hours sat on a coach sounds like a real drag.
Bugg Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 What about the praise for the poor Leicester fans like me who were delayed for 45 mins because of a collapsed tree on the line?
Tommeh Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 I got delayed thanks to Maybes taking a huge piss and nearly getting nicked at London bridge station. I conducted myself quite well and I don't see them thanking me...shit club. Still knowing that I got a 9pm train back and had hit Leicesters bars before fox travel even made the walkers does make me giggle.

Ozwin Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 I remember using Fox Travel to go to Newcastle away last season - never again.
dimmerchant Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Couldn't afford the train all the way back to Lough so got it to Luton and drove home in under an hour. Saved me a good 6 hours and £40.
Fosse Boy Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 First Class all the way from St. Pancras to Harborough for us. Didn't look that way when we got off though...
lildave3 Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Yep. Didn't get home till quarter to one but that only made it a better day out. ! All my great day outs include sitting on a bus for half a day.
1964FOX Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Stuck on coach 1, got back at Walkers at quarter past midnight. Can understand people who said they had a laugh on way back but 7 hours on a coach is just not enjoyable. Don't want a repeat of that in a hurry. Train next time we go to London I think.
MC Prussian Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 Yea I was on coach 5, took 7 hours to get home from London, complete nightmare! London traffic issue, an ignorant driver, construction sites or the Police being overly cautious and letting Leicester fans leave too late?
Matt Posted 9 August 2010 Posted 9 August 2010 First Class all the way from St. Pancras to Harborough for us. Didn't look that way when we got off though... I chucked out of first class from Euston to Nuneaton! I got asked 'So you'll be upgrading these tickets?'...Erm No...'Rightio 2 carrages down then please' atleast I got half of my journey in first class opposed to half a day on stuffy coach with no leg room.
