ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Joey Barton's getting "you're just a shit Gareth Barry" from the Villa fans.
Matt Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Joey Barton's getting "you're just a shit Gareth Barry" from the Villa fans. Villa need fining, letting their fans swear on live TV?
Corky Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Newcastle badly missed Nolan and Tiote. And they need a new strikeforce.
Haydos Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Arsene Wenger's accent sounds like John Malkovich in Johnny English.
sdb Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Great 1st game, terrible 2nd. Newcastle had no fire power, and Villa were very poor I thought. Big win for them though. Did a prediction table earlier - Villa get into the top half; Wigan, B'burn and West Ham going down, Wolves surviving on GD.
MC Prussian Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Was at Villa Park today. I like the place (from an architectural point of view). Did the match come across on TV as equally uneventful and boring like it did in the stadium? Two poor teams trying to nullify each other. Neither Villa nor Newcastle had the means (or the creativity) to make things happen. Poor fan atmosphere from the home side in particular, the Geordies sang their heart out before the match up until Collins scored. The worst part was getting back to Birmingham New Street, London Midlands Trains drivers were on strike and there was only buses. Unfortunately, the traffic chaos guaranteed everybody got stuck in a jam, so I ran back to the station. Took me only half an hour.

Second half was drab, Villa seemed to be trying to keep it tight and it just turned into a tetchy, overly cautious game and Newcastle just lacked the creativity and talent to create any good chances until stoppage time. Should have gone to Bloomfield Road

Last time I went Villa Park, they shut the Spaghetti Junction the bloody idiots. Effort getting back home. Had Newcastle down for a win today though
Samilktray Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Peter Beardsley isnt fit to grace the Sunderland shirt.
ScouseFox Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Andy Carroll off the mark for Liverpool, strike from 20 yards.
Leicester Lass Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Great strike, but Joe Hart has got to do better with that really.
ScouseFox Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Yeah, was a good yard or so away from the bottom corner, beaten by the pace of it more than anything really. Carroll nets before Torres does for Chelsea. Liverpool fans will be loving that.
ScouseFox Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 3-0! Two goals in a minute, nice finish from Kuyt, then Carroll bullied Kolarov from a cross to smash a header into the far corner. Great football.
Leicester Lass Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 2-0 Kuyt. Looking like there could be a few more goals in this for Liverpool too, City are all over the place defensively. And now it's 3, Carroll again.
FoxyPV Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Just a pity it's Liverpool beating them.
Libertine Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Anyone else think Carroll's second may have actually been a Kolarov own goal? Looked like it to me but they haven't mentioned it at all.
FoxyPV Posted 11 April 2011 Posted 11 April 2011 Joleon Lescott's mere presence on the pitch should give hope to every aspiring footballer.
