Matt Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 Man City 5 - 0 Sunderland. Not a bad bet - Man City To Win To Nil; Yes - 1/6 No - 5/1 Will Hill. Tempted by a couple of quid the fact Sunderland are so far gone and demoralised not sure it is worth a couple of quid
StanSP Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 Safe to say that on watching Blackpool today first-hand, they are VERY poor. Beattie didn't have many touches in first half, and should have come off at half time. And Holloway's decision to bring 3 strikers on at once wasn't right as they looked even more disjointed in that 3rd of the park. Fulham just had more attacking threat and Dickson Etuhu was my man of the match - putting tackles in all over the field and played Adam off the park. Nice to see him get a goal. Dempsey had a few good touches too.
Wymsey Posted 8 April 2011 Posted 8 April 2011 Gerrard's out for the season with a groin problem. I genuinely think this season has been the worst for him for a while due to his rather 'could do better' form this season and his injuries.
Jimothy Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Lehmann starting for Arsenal! Almunia got injured in the warm up!
Fox92 Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Half time, Blackpool 0 - 2 Arsenal. Diaby and Eboue scored. Arsenal dominating overall. Nasri hit the post, Van Persie had one disallowed and Diaby missed a good chance after Van Persie took it around Kingston and passed to Diaby who consequently missed. Blackpool fans booing the linesman because he isn't flagging for offside, but when Fabregas keeps playing the ball over the top, they arn't offside! Thats how some of the chances that Arsenal have missed have come along. DJ Campbell had one cleared off of the line though and Lehmann has been solid when called upon. Arsenal to win 5-0 is 16/1 @ Bet365.com if anyone fancies it
Fox92 Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Phil Neville Agree, I really do like Phil Neville. And, what a goal too! There were a few good goals yesterday, Jones scored a screamer against Tottenham, Beardsley against WBA, Neville and also that Russian Bilyatiniov. Some more as well.

DJ unlucky at the end there but to be fair they've not had many clear cut chances so far. Arsenal should push on a could win this by a few more. B'pool look a bit on a knife edge at the back.
ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Blackpool playing the best defensive line I've ever seen, loving it.
Stevosevic Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Some of the worst defending i have ever seen at this level, should be 6-0.
Fox92 Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Blackpool just scored. Lehmann perhaps should have been sent off after DJ took it wound him and went down but Blackpool scored anyway. Arsenal have not got a keeper on bench either.
ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Good refereeing not once but twice to allow two advantages leading to a goal. If Blackpool get anything from this game Arsene Wenger should just give up.
Haydos Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Dunno how they've not had that second penalty appeal. As far as entertainment goes, Blackpool never disappoint. One of the best games I've seen this season.
ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Arsenal were very good, Blackpool shocking at the back, but showed some spirit nearly getting back into it. Cracking game.

Peter Beardsley has signed for Sunderland ?!
Samilktray Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Itll be a massive shame if Blackpool go down. Always great entertainment
Stevosevic Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Itll be a massive shame if Blackpool go down. Always great entertainment Entertainment because they are awful at the back. If they go down they would have deserved to. It would also be Holloway's fault for being so tactically naive.
Haydos Posted 10 April 2011 Posted 10 April 2011 Entertainment because they are awful at the back. If they go down they would have deserved to. It would also be Holloway's fault for being so tactically naive. He's got a great mentality going on with them but like you said, too aggressive and possibly naive when it comes to defending. They played way too high today and didn't seem to be working an offside trap into it. I can't believe he didn't do anything to counter Fab's diagonal ball to RVP, he must have hit the same pass about 10 times. They were way too high for the first and third goals, the first coming from one of those diagonal balls and you just can't play that high with someone as good as Fabregas and a winger with the pace of Walcott.
