MC Prussian Posted 28 February 2011 Posted 28 February 2011 Oh, **** off Stoke. Conceding an equalizer in the 87th. And I had Huth in my FPL team this week...
Corky Posted 28 February 2011 Posted 28 February 2011 Thought Vela was going to nick it at the end, Begovic had a great last couple of minutes.
StanSP Posted 28 February 2011 Posted 28 February 2011 Thought Vela was going to nick it at the end, Begovic had a great last couple of minutes. The whole match had a great last couple of minutes. The only good couple of minutes . But yes, he did very well and I thought Hodgson should have brought Vela on earlier. Tchoyi didn't make a difference at all. Other teams would have torn apart West Brom most likely on another night.
Bert Posted 28 February 2011 Posted 28 February 2011 Chris Gunter got a retrospective three match ban against Leeds after the ref had "dealt with" the incident by booking him at the time. They seem to choose as and when to stick to their rules. It's the clubs who don't have a team full of superstars like Gerrard and Rooney, who can seemingly club players at will, I feel sorry for. I daresay had it been a wigan player clouting ol big ears he'd have been hung drawn and quartered by now. Yes, but this is their excuse isn't it, because it's already been dealt with. Therefore letting United + Rooney get away with it. Part of me thinks if the Wigan player had've gone down in a heap, a ban may have been incurred. I like United more than any other prem team, but this is shit from the FA. I'm not trying to defend United or Rooney, just stating the reasons why I think they've let him off.
Fox92 Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 The Rooney elbow is a disgrace. Not getting any punishment is a disgrace. I'm pretty sure the FA are scared of Manchester United.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Stoke - WBA. Worst game of football ever? That award has to go to Liverpool away in Prague I'm afraid.
Corky Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 The FA aren't scared at Man United, they gave Ferdinand an extra game ban last season for a "frivolous" appeal. I'm surprised Clattenburg didn't change his mind after another look at the incident though.
ScouseFox Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 No idea how Edwin kept that one out. He's still a sublime goalkeeper with cat like reflexes even at 40 years of age.
Matt Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Shit! Is Torres playing?! Really wanted him to score for fun in spite of the bitter plastic scousers but what a waste of £50m on Chelsea's part so far - Havn't even noticed him till I saw him walking off, Not watched since the start but watch most of the first half.
ScouseFox Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Torres looked very sharp and lively in the first 5 or 10, but since then United have been dominant. Haven't heard anything of Malouda, Torres or Anelka since United's midfield took control.
Jimothy Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 So Rooney gives Man Utd the lead in a crucial title game, 3 days after he should have been sent off for a blatant elbow to the head of a opposition player, and a day after the FA had let him off after viewing a video of the incident, saying they can't hand out retrospective punishment if the ref saw that incident, despite having previously done so to both Ben Thatcher and Emmanual Adebayor. Well done to the FA and Mr Clattenberg, shall we just had the trophy to Vidic now?
fatmando Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Rooney looks really confident playing again. He's going to bang loads in between now and the end of season I reckon. Torres is fooking mud! (watch him score 3 now).
ScouseFox Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Superb strike from a centre half. Luiz is already looking one hell of a player.
ScouseFox Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Chelsea penalty, very harsh on Smalling, Zhirkov went over his leg rather than him sticking his leg out to trip him. Lampard blasts it into the roof of the net, 2-1. Title race open now.
