MikeyT Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Rooney scores The Greatest Goal Ever ScoredSkyTM I wouldn't go that far.
ScouseFox Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Maybe sacking Di Matteo was a good decision... Baggies 1 up after a couple of minutes.
FoxyPV Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 I wouldn't go that far. I do believe a "Whoosh" is in order here.
MikeyT Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 I do believe a "Whoosh" is in order here. I'm blonde Arsenal 1-0 Wolves. Van Persie.
ScouseFox Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 West Ham come back from 3 down at the Hawthorns!
purpleronnie Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Fvcking hell, that was unreal. I dunno, it was a great goal no question. But I just think if rooney does something its amplifield 10 fold compared to any other player. I felt berbatovs overhead kick when he controlled it on his knee first and they did the overhead with a defender on his back was a better goal.
sdb Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Rooney's goal was incredible but it'll be milked to the death. Izzet v Grimsby was far better, for example. Most people will never have even heard about it.
Benji Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Absolutely love Mick McCarthy: "aaand we were spanked"
FoxyPV Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Arsenal's second goal. Beautiful counter attacking football.
Bert Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 You hear so much 'info', I swear most of it is absolute codswallop. So true. Pretty sure it's just been read from a website.
Mikey Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Rooney's goal was incredible but it'll be milked to the death. Izzet v Grimsby was far better, for example. Most people will never have even heard about it. Izzets was against Grimsby in a mid-season Championship game whereas Rooneys was in a Manchester derby, also a top of the table clash with 2 of the biggest clubs in the country (one in the world), live on TV and in front of 76000 fans. Also the amount of stick Rooneys being getting and everything thats gone on this season and he comes out with that. I think it deserves to get milked for its worth..fucking unreal.

StanSP Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 So true. Pretty sure it's just been read from a website. What? If it's in the LCFC part of FT, I make it up just to piss people off. I know no-one at LCFC so if you believe that then you've been had. If it's in the Championship/Premier League parts of the forums, I know a few people who know people within their clubs. Or I follow some well-respected journalists/ex-players who now work for other clubs/people on Twitter and get info from there. If they're wrong how the fuck can I help it?
orangecity23 Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 The Rooney goal will be wanked over ad infinitum, just like everything else he does that is impressive, because its Man Yooo, and that = media tossfest. Brings back memories of MOTD2 a few weeks back, and Merieles volleyed goal prompted a feature on 'best ever Premier League volleys'. Was Nalis vs Leeds in there? No, just Rooney, Van Persie etc etc. Load of horseshit, Nalis's goal was on his weaker foot and crapped all over half the goals on there.
Corky Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 That Baggies result could be so pivotal, West Ham will gain plenty of confidence from the comeback.
StanSP Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Moyes has handed in resignation to Bill Kenwright. EDIT: Definitely will leave in summer apparently, if not now.
StanSP Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Got a text from someone who went to the match today, and it's same person who gave me news about Vaughan and Yak joining on loan when they did. All I know so far
Corky Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Everton were poor today, they're in a battle to survive.
Jimothy Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 May well mean the Yak will go back then Why are you obsessed with our loan players being called back? If Moyes goes what would that have to do with Yakubu going back to Everton? Don't think I've ever seen a club call back loan players after changing manager. Also if there is no recall option, that won't change if Moyes goes, Everton signed the deal, not Moyes.
Matt Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Almost 100% sure that Izzet goal secured promotion. Don't think it did. Just checked on the OS and the game was in November (30/11/02) so we wouldn't have got promoted that early in the season. Got promoted with a 2-1 win v Brighton at the Walkers Stadium on the 19/04/03. Why are you obsessed with our loan players being called back? If Moyes goes what would that have to do with Yakubu going back to Everton? Don't think I've ever seen a club call back loan players after changing manager. Also if there is no recall option, that won't change if Moyes goes, Everton signed the deal, not Moyes. Obviously a Football Manager addict, Don't loan player deals always fall through and terminate if the club you are loaning them off sack and change their manager?
