Bugg Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 I don't care in people think it's too early and 'he hasn't been given long enough' yet - Sousa's causing havok, it took less for Martin Allen to get the boot and he won 5-1 ffs! Sousa out! Allen won 4-1, get your facts straight!
The Doctor Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 The ref seemed to indicate that Fryatt had fouled his defender as they both pushed to the ball. Certainly they both fell over, but how the ref figured it for a foul, I do not know. How the world has turned that we're now denouncing a manager for not playing Neilson! It's a funny game all right, but I couldn't find much to laugh about this evening. it's ridiculous. This summer at least 90% of city fans would be delighted to get shot of him, Now he's one of the first names on the teamsheets people suggest. I'm nearly the opposite, it reached a point (just after the disallowed goal) where i was laughing in disbelief at the decisions he was making. As for this whole luck thing, That's 2 home games in a row where we've been unlucky with reffereeing decisions. Once you can claim luck but if it's happening multiple games in a row there's something not right. Is it the formation, the game plan, the team named, training methods or a combination of some/all of them. Whatever it is, sousa needs to get them in training tommorow and monday and work out what it is before deadline day so that he can make whatever changes to the squad are needed to turn it around. Worst start in 16 years - worrying times.
Jay Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 I am never normally a negative person but things are not right at the club, it seems the manager has lost the dressing room BIG style and only one answer to that I'm afraid oh and Zonal Marking is the biggest pile of shit ever
Narborough_fox Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 If he's lost the dressing room. He should go, I don't care if it's only 4 games gone.
Cropwellfox Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Whatever it is, sousa needs to get them in training tommorow and monday and work out what it is before deadline day so that he can make whatever changes to the squad are needed to turn it around. Worst start in 16 years - worrying times. He's given them a couple of days off, more likely than not as he hopes he won't have to deal with any more transfer requests. Worst start in 16 years and they get some time off....... just perfect
Jordan Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 oh and Zonal Marking is the biggest pile of shit ever It's a completely unnecessary strategy against offenses at this level, which are usually not much more complicated than either 1) hoof it up to the big guy or 2) kick the ball down the wing and let the fast guy chase after it.
breadandcheese Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Sousa needs to go. The fact that players are handing in transfer requests speaks volumes. Well done Mandaric. You have successfully mismanaged this club over the summer getting rid of Pearson. The fact we are now owned by some Thai consortium makes me fall out of love with football even more. I also want to add I hate Matt Mills, simply because he is a good defender who always has a blinder against us.
STUHILL Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 The main worry I have at this early stage, is not the results BUT all the background noises we are hearing... Unfit players, transfer requests, strange training methods etc. Add this to the poor results and it makes it very hard to see the positives. The fact that players are handing in transfer requests, especially at this stage is incredibly worrying!! I would like to give Sousa 10 games before we can start judging him purely on results, however, in 10 games time, Sousa may have done damage which could be very difficult to fix Today's performance was poor - scrappy, unorganised and apart from Dyer, we could have comfortably lost to a very weak side. Sousa HAS to improve things, not just results, but in all areas! He has big shoes to fill after Pearson and at the moment he looks no where near that. Lets hope Manderic hasn't made a huge mistake appointing Sousa and he comes good. At the moment though... I am concerned
buzzy Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 If he's lost the dressing room. He should go, I don't care if it's only 4 games gone. how do you know his lost the dressing room are you a locker with ears.
Edmund Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 He's given them a couple of days off, more likely than not as he hopes he won't have to deal with any more transfer requests. Worst start in 16 years and they get some time off....... just perfect I ****ing hope not. They should be down the training ground first thing in the morning learning how to defend and attack corners.
lcfcsnow Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Sousa will be out of a job in no time if he doesn't replace Howard and Oakley by Tuesday. And if he came up with this new contract for Howard then he should be sacked now.
The Doctor Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 He's given them a couple of days off, more likely than not as he hopes he won't have to deal with any more transfer requests. Worst start in 16 years and they get some time off....... just perfect what happened to the days where if you played poorly, you were damn sure to be back in first thing sunday morning. On todays display the only one deserving of a couple of days off is Dyer, the rest were, not neccesarly poor but average at best, and even dyer could do with working on his corners.
Edmund Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 how do you know his lost the dressing room are you a locker with ears. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work it out. Transfer requests. Shuffling and rotation of players. Being linked to a new player every day. Body language. The list goes on.
Cropwellfox Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 I ****ing hope not. They should be down the training ground first thing in the morning learning how to defend and attack corners. Nope according to Logan they've got some time off, how nice for them.
Webbo Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 how do you know his lost the dressing room are you a locker with ears. If players are handing transfer requests that's a pretty good indication.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 We should have won that easily. Just shit defending and poor finishing cost us dearly. Reading were shite I thought. Moreno isnt a CB and was poor, Gally did nothing up front and the general defending was slow and all over the place. A lot of work needs to be done, but there is no point in saying 'sack the manager' just yet. He had a shit start with Swansea and byt new year they were in the PO's.
Walkers Wench Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Disappointed with todays result. Lackluste in the main,,,with a few flashes of ok footy thrown in. I think Dyer played very well,,his goal was down to the fact that he had a terrier-like instinct today and never gave up...whereas i keep seeing Howard shrugging his shoulders and holding his hands out in front of him in disbelief as balls pass him by,,, when he hasn't even attempted to get it!. It seems if it isn't 2" in front of him hes not interested. Fryatt on the bench i kind of get, coming back from injury. King on the bench? Why? I can't understand why changes are not made earlier when things clearly aren't working on the pitch. Moussa looked decent when he came on,,a good crosser of the ball from corners,,but again he'd sat on the bench for 80 odd minutes. Its ok saying rememeber O' Neill etc,,and we all do,,but this is NOW not then. I can see Sousa having 3 games left at this rate unless we get points under our belt,,,coz the new investors won't wear it for long,,,,Cov away,,then Cardiff and QPR at home. One point in 12...what happens if its one point in 21?
The Doctor Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 how do you know his lost the dressing room are you a locker with ears. If you read his post more carefully you'll find he says "if he's lost the dressing room"
lestajigs Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Moreno and Lamey are fecking awful, Great signings Sousa!!! Bring in some British talent for fecks sake
Cropwellfox Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 ,,,,Cov away,,then Cardiff and QPR at home. One point in 12...what happens if its one point in 21? god i've been away and had forgotton that is the next 3 up. Just imagine what it's going to be like in 3 weeks on here !!!
lcfcsnow Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Moreno and Lamey are fecking awful, Don't think they're that bad personally, they help bring the ball forward into the midfield which players like Neilson and Morrison struggle to do, we just have nothing up front.
buzzy Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 If players are handing transfer requests that's a pretty good indication. they could have handed them in before he got there after pearson went we just dont know
Thracian Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Great signings Sousa!!! Bring in some British talent for fecks sake I wonder if that's the source of the discontent... In which case I can see us ending up snookered. More upheaval is looking a certainty....what a mess!
Webbo Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 I can see Sousa having 3 games left at this rate unless we get points under our belt,,,coz the new investors won't wear it for long,,,,Cov away,,then Cardiff and QPR at home. One point in 12...what happens if its one point in 21? We'll all be celebrating Sousa getting the bullet.
