Rocket-Ron Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 if you are that unhappy with the pies why don't you go to the 'great' hall? They sell free chocolate bonbon biscuits there and tea. Surprised Mr.Top don't go in there at all due to this Bit cheap of them to sell the free chocolate bonbons!!
Mack Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 Football is a working class sport. If you want to enjoy football at it's best go in with the fans in the stand, eat a pie, have a cup of tea, find your seat and enjoy the atmosphere and the banter. Sitting in a sterilized overpriced box belongs to the classes better suited to watching rugger with Tarquin, Quentin, Rupert and his best mate Marmaduke. It's not wonder football teams are so shit at it, and on the main they all are, because it just does'nt belong in football.
FrankieADZ Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 altho at times this season done the Walkers, Ive been wanting to change my seat to a padded one, them plastic ones hurt ur butt sometimes, and in the winter there a freeze magnet

But ultimately the club makes a lot of money from these Tarquins and Quentins and if they're treated as poorly as the rest of us it could signify a serious reduction in cash for the club. Make all the jokes you want and live in the 'working class sport' mindset if you want, but not good news in my opinion

Zingari Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 ok , who is the real Claudio ? is it you ? it's not big and it's not clever to do this sort of thing
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 This is my first season being a box holder at the walker stadium, and i was shocked at how poor the standards are. First of all the food is terrible and the portions are small. The waiters are lazy, unresponsive and clearly do not want to be there. People pay a lot of money to watch from a executive boxes and Leicester city make a lot of money, but people are not going to keep reaching into there pockets when we get very litle back. Hopefully the new owners will put some money into this department. The sales team and the higher ups are fantastic, they couldnt be better. But the chefs and the staff on the day need to sort it out, otherwise th club will lose money. Thanks for reading. The birds are fit though I think. Are you one of the 22 complaining against the Fosse Boys?

Get over it mate........ did you ask to sample the service first? if NO then your the only one to blame. You sound a numpty expecting the earth! Prawn Sarney in Morrisons £2.39.... no waiter....no Sky TV.... Ticket in the Kop (regular price)...... Beer average............... .......................................................................Cos were worth it. and were allowed to wear trainers!
The Doctor Posted 3 September 2010 Posted 3 September 2010 Free booze and Food yes but other things needed ie. Order a bottle of wine eg, you need to pay for them in advance via cheque/pay later scheme if you get free booze then why are you ordering wine?
Mack Posted 3 September 2010 Posted 3 September 2010 But ultimately the club makes a lot of money from these Tarquins and Quentins and if they're treated as poorly as the rest of us it could signify a serious reduction in cash for the club. Make all the jokes you want and live in the 'working class sport' mindset if you want, but not good news in my opinion Because of my previous job I experienced 'hospitality' at a few football clubs, and on the whole they were all not exactly what you would call high brow. To your average bloke done good it would be acceptable, but the silver spoon brigade are accustomed to something beyond football's capabilities, because the people employed by clubs to run the hospitality have absolutely no idea what Tarquin or Jasper are accustomed to. I was invited to a box at Millwall once with some scaffolding chaps who had it for the season. The beer was watered down, the food was hot dogs taken from the kiosk in the stand and stuck on a silver platter. But they did'nt give a fook and took it for what it is and had a right laugh. For me this is who football hospitality is aimed at, working class people done good, not upper class people from a completely different planet to football. I hope I explained myself a little better
Tommy G Posted 3 September 2010 Posted 3 September 2010 I guess most of these comments to this fella are through jealousy? Fair play if he wants to pay for a box, no skin off anyone else nose is it If he has a bit of cash compared to others and if he wants to spend it on a box, and pump money into OUR club then whats the issue? Apparently wealth makes you a worse fan than the average guy who spends £400 on a season ticket in the kop. Laughable He has every right to complain, you would expect silver service for that money, I would anyway. Maybe it's the same ****** that take pot shots at certain fans for not either attending every game or choosing a certain method of travel to an away game. Maybe this guy shoul direct his complaint to the club, but shouldn't be shot down for his opinion on here. He was probably hoping to share similar experiences with other fans who may have had a similar issue. For the record I don't sit in a box, never have but the working class hero's on here need to cut this guy some slack
Ultra Posted 3 September 2010 Posted 3 September 2010 I do have a certain degree of sympathy. Poor customer service shouldn't be tolerated in any part of the Way. But the guy chose the wrong time (spectacularly so!) and the wrong audience.
Shrenchel Posted 3 September 2010 Posted 3 September 2010 Worked in hospitality at three different grounds when I was at school and to be honest I was probably a right miserable cvnt too. Problem is, the people in the boxes arent acually posh but think they're the fvcking dogs bollocks because theyve won the chance to go in their company's box or whatever. The way they treat you ranges from leper to absolute scum but there's no chance of getting any healthy tips to make it worthwhile smiling throughout this shit because most of the wankers in there have got less queenies than half the geezers paying £25 to sit out in the stands.

Schrenchel, i'm sorry for my behaviour towards you and for not giving you a tip. But most of all i'm sorry for the constant tapping of your buttocks as you walked by me, but for me it was a chance to show that i'm a somebody, compared to those that sit in those plastic seats!!

Ha, was actually like that though. One girl quit because she kept getting groped so much. She said she used to work as a tequila girl in London, basically wandering round West End nightclubs wearing an outfit that made Jodie Marsh look like a nun, and never got nearly as much fondling.

Agreed, I've been a couple of boxes, not just city's and they way some of the girls get treated by drunk fookwits, you would have thought they worked in a tittie bar!!
Shrenchel Posted 3 September 2010 Posted 3 September 2010 This Claudio pervert probably gives them a right going over.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 3 September 2010 Posted 3 September 2010 It's nice to see the club treating people equally. However much you spend, you get crap value
Wymsey Posted 3 September 2010 Posted 3 September 2010 if you get free booze then why are you ordering wine? What i mean by free booze is that the beers are in the fridge in the box before we get in there. (Paid for) As wine bottles are stored elsewhere, we have to select and order a type of wine avaliable from the list and and you pay for this particular bottle of wine later on sometime. Do you get it now?..........
Jacnah Posted 3 September 2010 Posted 3 September 2010 sweet jesus we're going to hell in a handcart! I never minded paying £20 and feezing my tits off knowing that the guys in the boxes were being looked after. But even they are getting served up shite as well! All joking apart, and although this guy is most likely going to get a flaming, it is really just an extension of the "ordinary" supporter being shit on - you pay a lot more money to sit in a box and would expect some good scram and be looked after. If it is the case that this is shit as well, then it is more evidence of the club cutting costs and service. I agree..if your turning up and supporting it shouldn't really matter where you sit or the fact that you're paying more...shite service is still shite service......................that having been said keep the :crylaugh:comments coming!!!
thybluefox Posted 3 September 2010 Posted 3 September 2010 I'm glad some sense has come out of this topic (whether the OP was taking the piss or not) If people are willing to spend £20k (thats the price for some larger boxes) on a season at the Walkers, why do some people feel the need to spout a load of abuse? They're pouring money into your club, would you rather they all be paying a couple of hundred quid for an ST in the East Stand instead? Think how much money the club would loose if everyone decided to do that. I sit in the corporate section, have done for 3 years, prior to that I sat in the East Stand, and then in the East stand at Filbert Street. I bleed blue and white. But, does my seat number mean I'm not a real fan? Jealousy is a bitch.

ajthefox Posted 3 September 2010 Posted 3 September 2010 Once got a free seat in the corporate bit for the Shilton suite or something with my dad cause my cousins mate was one of city's physios and he got a season ticket for it. It was that game a few seasons back where we drew 1 all with Preston when their keeper scored from his own box against Henderson I think it was. I sat next to a nice old lady on a padded seat and poked fun at Trevor Benjamin not long before he scored. My experience aside, the more fancy mathday experience is not to my liking, but each to their own. The OP probably shouldn't have complained here though really..

Shudder to think of some of the players we had back then
