Nice to see us able to actually sign one of our loan players on perm.

managed it with Hobbs too... getting Waggy in would be just as exciting as when we got Hobbs, IMO

Hobbs, King, Waghorn

Now that's a spine of a team that can only improve.

Tuesday 5pm can't come quick enough, I just pray they're all still here by then.

Stringer hust said Waggy is traveling down for a medical today and he sounded pretty confident, we just need to know who's going now.

I've woke up today with an impending sense of doom. I just think the deal for Waghorn has been made to pull the wool over our eyes whilst they hastily arrange the sale of some of our brightest assets.

I'm only basing this on a dream I had this morning which detailed Hobbs' desire to leave.

:( 10 hours to hold on to Kingy and Jack.

by all reports dj's back on his bike to blackpool, but is it not possible that either the league has ratified the takeover and the club haven't bothered to tell us or top knows it's not going to be ratified in time and has pushed ahead some transfer funds for milan to give to sousa?

just hope, the hopeful incoming of waggy, (fingers crossed n all etc) will stop other players from wanting to leave....just hope the Hobbs isnt one of them, id be very very sad if he went

If the only action today is Dj out and Waghorn in I'll be ecstatic.

Looks like it's definite the Wavgy is back, just got this text:

Easy mate, just got this text from my driving instructor: Waghorn is sat in the marriott with his agent! One of my pupils works there and has just served them!

Great news!!!

Sky saying Gyan at Sunderland ahead of move

and for how much he's ment to be going there for, £8-12mil from what ive heard, I reckon Bruce will be forced to sell someone to least get something back, hopefully he'll have the sense to let Waggy go, as a player like him needs games to improve as an all round player.

Just seen this: "0940: BBC Radio Leicester understands the Foxes are going to sign Martyn Waghorn for about £2m from Sunderland today, though it might depend on whether the Black Cats can sign Asamoah Gyan or anyone else."

Transfer: Waghorn close to £1.8million move south

Martyn Waghorn, the former Leicester City loanee, is set to complete a £1.8million move from parent club Sunderland today. In a deal which I have uncovered could include further payments over a period of time, possibly based on appearances, means that the striker’s move is essential to Sunderland’s pursuits of Asamoah Gyan and Charles n’Zogbia.

Waghorn spent a large chunk of last season at the Walkers Stadium and became a fans favourite at the Midlands club scoring 12 goals in 43 appearances. Now he has been offered the chance to return the club as Paulo Sousa looks for a replacement for Blackpool-bound DJ Campbell whose move is nearing completion.

This move marks an extraordinary u-turn from Steve Bruce who originally stated that there was “no chance” of a deal being done. His desperation to improve his squad seems to have got the better of him however and this deal does seem to be beneficial for both sides. It must be stressed however that no deal has been done yet and transfer deadline days have a funny habit of throwing up surprises.

Leicester City hoping to sign Martyn Waghorn as Sunderland consider a £2 million offer

Martyn Waghorn

Sunderland are considering a £2 million offer from Leicester City for striker Martyn Waghorn.

City may also test Swansea City's resolve with a £2m bid for defender Ashley Williams today as the club looks set for a frantic finale to the summer transfer window.

City manager Paulo Sousa is looking to bring in two strikers and a centre back before the window shuts at 6pm today.

There could also be players heading out of the door, including DJ Campbell, who is close to completing a £1.5m move to Blackpool.

City made an inquiry about Waghorn's availability at the end of the season and then tabled a £2m bid, which was rejected by Sunderland, who also rate the South Shields-born striker highly. City left the bid on the table should Steve Bruce change his mind and the Black Cats boss may now, reluctantly, be ready to sell.

Sousa is also after a centre- back to partner Jack Hobbs and he rates Williams highly from his time as Swans manager.

However, the Welsh club may be reluctant to sell the defender to their former manager, even if City match their asking price.

Another defender linked with City is Ipswich Town centre-back Damien Delaney.

The Irishman played eight times for City under Peter Taylor between 2000 and 2002 before joining Hull City.

Tractor Boys boss Roy Keane has said he is not expecting any movement in or out at Portman Road, but Sousa is a fan of Delaney's from their time together at Queens Park Rangers.
