davieG Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Hughes-Gets-Two-Match-Ban-1407.aspx? Richard Hughes has been handed a two-match ban after being sent off in Pompey’s 2-1 Carling Cup defeat to Leicester. The midfielder was shown a straight red card midway through the second half for using foul and abusive language. He will miss the home Championship matches against Leicester on Friday and Bristol City on Tuesday.
Simo86 Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 They'll probably only have 4 subs on friday then
DanTheFox07 Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 This will be the first game ive been so see leicester play in a good while!! Hoping Abe starts and scores from a free-kick
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Would be just like us to lose this but fingers crossed we can go on some sort of run now the nasty fixtures are out the way.
dpjfox Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 they cant make changes but we can, we just need a tweak here n there ie hobbs berner waghorn, lets do em 0-3 waggy 2 abe
Munzie Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Would like to see Logan in between the sticks if Weale still isn't ready (he looked good during the warm-up on Tuesday though). Berner in for Kennedy and Vitor to partner Hobbs at the back. Possibly Neilson in for Lamey. Abe to start next to King in the centre with Dyer and Moussa on the flanks. Howard and Waghorn upfront. Fryatt and Gallagher to feature as impact subs. 3 points please
Munzie Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Why vitor? Has he shown anything yet? Had a solid game last night and looked much more reliable than Morrison.
acooling08 Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Think it would be unfair to drop Morro because he has been good lately and he scored on tuesday
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 We should win this just due to having a bigger squad, they will play a similar team to Tuesday I think.
ousefox Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 No chance we will win this. Wouldn't be the usual Leicester if we beat them in the important game.
Jodranadinho Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 based on yesterdays peformance, this is defintiely a winnable game!
North-LondonFox Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 I think we should win this one - but it depends if we take our chances - I'm hopeful this could be a turning point (bu I thought that after Leeds and Cardiff)!
Kent Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 I would have happily lost last night to win on Friday. Have to be confident that we can get a result though... right?
Corky Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Sousa's team selection will be interesting. Does he stick with the side that won, or bring in the more experienced heads? A good start again is imperative, let ourselves dictate the game.
Austin Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 relatively optimistic .. No reason (other than the fact we are LEICESTER) why we can't win this
Rubber Neilson Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Gotta Feel sorry for Pompey as theyve got Nothing left now No money No players No football ahhh well we should beat um on friday and shud be a quality match
carterfox90 Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 it will be so us to lose this one but thought we would go & beat QPR so as per i know nowt!!
Ric Flair Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 I've got a horrible feeling about tomorrow night, but please for the love of Ian Ormondroyd can we get a win and start putting a run together. Steve Howard has got to start finding the net for us because we don't have any striker whose looking like bagging, Waghorn needs a goal badly.

Seemed to do the trick last time

Steve Howard has got to start finding the net for us because we don't have any striker whose looking like bagging, Waghorn needs a goal badly. I agree to a point. But Sousa is playing him out wide and he isnt going to bag as many as last season playing there. I would like to see him up top in the howard role with Dyer and gally on the wings. He has played part of 2 games and to say he needs a goal ''badly'' is laughable. Howard and Fryatt are due one before he is
Mort Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Bit off topic, but anyone know if the game's on at Dos or the Clarendon (both down Queens Rd way) tonight?
