Guest Basildon Fox Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Sol Campbell would be stunning at this level. He would be on a different planet. He reads the game so well and bar a few quality strikers, there aren't many at this level that will trouble him. Agree with this. Went to the Arsenal v Man City game last season and he was the best player on the park.Would allow Morrison to play rb too where he is better imo.
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Some of the names getting thrown around are ridiculous. SWP?? Nigel Reo-Coker? all those centre backs!
dandannieldanok Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Sol would be a really good loan signing, but knowing this club we'd offer him a 5-year contract at the end of it.
gibraltarfox Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Very. Just seen on the Mirror that they're letting him out on loan with Hull and 2 others interested. Pretty certain the likes of S****horpe, Barnsley etc will be the other 2. He was in the Jamacia team Crouchy 5 banged a trick against when we won 6 nil so cant imagine Sven has any great impression of him.
Bettsj2 Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Owen Hargreaves One of Sven's bumboys at England. Loan deal while he regains his fitness. Sven.
bluebeau Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Does anyone know the name of the guy who played no.16 centre midfield for S - - - - thorpe last Saturday? I thought he looked a quality player, controlled their midfield & was directing play brilliantly. Just the type of player we need imo.

Josh Wright if thats who you mean, was a brilliant little player on FM a few years back
mmarkie Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Woodgate's apparently got an 'untreatable' injury so I doubt it will be him, looks like Sol Campbell, but then he's playing for Newcastle so I don't see who else it could be?

mmarkie Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Titus Bumble Plays regularly for Sunderland doesn't he?
sdb Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 ...and hasn't played for england i don't think. really can't thnik of anyone other than Campbell, who i'd rather not have as he's fat, injury prone and very old (and we'd offer him a few years no doubt, on big wages)
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Its not easy but we need to look in the top Prem teams reserves and make an offer on players who are wasting their careers sitting on the bench, offer them the chance of first team football and see what happens. Scott Sinclair was a prime example wasted years at Chelsea before finally realising he had no chance there and moved to Swansea where he is doing well. Might unearth another Muzzy, like I said though its not easy. How about Nathan Delfouneso and Barry Bannan at Villa, I would sooner we build for the future.
Mikey Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Titus Bumble Titus Bramble is much too good for us.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Wouldn't mind us going after Jason Puncheon from Southampton now we've got some moolah, can't see it happening though. Not a big enough name. *And obviously Derek Rioirdan, but only because I'm a fan boy.
For_Fox_Sake_muzzyizzet6 Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Beckford on-loan til end of the season he's struggling to break throught to everton first team ?
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Beckford on-loan til end of the season he's struggling to break throught to everton first team ? Struggling to get in the Everton first team because the Prem is one step too far for him, not good enough for that division but in the Championship he could do a job.

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 Sorry if already been posted as not trawling through pages, but I wouldn't turn down Jamie O'Hara at Spurs... OR talking about Pompey - where O'Hara was on loan last year - why not Liam Lawrence as I think he's only on loan.
tetly Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 how about benni mcarthy the former blackbern striker i think he would do a good job at this leval. we should be able to get him on loan he dont get a game at west ham.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 8 October 2010 Posted 8 October 2010 An experienced CB could be Leon Cort - always rated him, but not sure where he is now.
