10 million pounds - who do you want

I would have thought a striker would be quite crucial.

Gallaghers performances last season revealed him to be a player who works best as part of a front 3/ winger (depending on whether you thought we played 4-3-3 or 4-5-1), not an out and out striker capable of scoring plenty of goals, he scores a few screamers but he needs to score more regularly (be them 2 yard tap ins or 45 yard pearlers) to be effective up front.

Waghorn is an industrious lil fella who puts the hard work in and pops up with a fair few but isn't that prolific and can also be fairly jittery with his finishing (see the one on one about an hour in on saturday for proof)

Howard works hard and his passion can help get us going again but he's penalised far too often when challenging in the air and again doesn't score all that many instead creating space for others,

Fryatt is a fairly instictive striker but can be too selfish and sometimes struggles to produce an end product.

With a full season, playing reguarly he could probably hit 15 but with gallagher and Howard unlikely to reach more than 10 and waghorn likely to reach at most 15, we are reliant on the midfielders & defence to chip in, the defence hardly scores at the moment, in midfield only king and dyer tend to get goals with oakley and wellens too slow on the ball, not seen much of abe but i doubt he offers a considerable goal scoring threat and the likes of Moussa, N'Guessan and co are unlikely to figure heavily.

So with around about 6 regular goalscorers in the squad, should we hit an injury crisis and 3/4 of these end up missing games, we have to rely on the rest of the squad and the youth team to step up to the plate and keep us firing. And that notion is far too risky to entertain by keeping the squad as it is and relying on those 6 to carry the team, goal wise. Therefore we bring in either: 1/2 midfielders with an eye for goal, a prolific striker or a combination of the two.

You can't base it on a worst case scenario though. That would be nuts. Fryatt and Howard wouldn't stay if they weren't getting regular football, so we'd be back to square one.

I also think most sides would be delighted to have 3 players likely to score 10+ league goals (Fryatt, Waghorn, King) and another 2 likely to get 6-7 (Dyer, Howard). And that's being pessimistic. I genuinely believe Fryatt could bag 20+ in a team playing attacking football.

All I ask, is for players who actually want to play football, and preferably for Leicester City Football Club.

Saying that, a right back is essential, and an experienced centre back is also needed.

Everything else after that is going to be a bonus.

We need a decent right sided midfield player. This has been the case for 3 years. We also could do with another CM as Oakley is past it. A striker would be a good choice too but isn't so crucial as Howard still has the legs in him to last the season. Whether or not he can perform at the same level next season is questionable though, he's getting old!

For me we need a non flashy no nonsense stopper of a cb. Preferably one who talks for some organisation. Also a lb, right winger and a big fooker up front. Morrison is fine at rb in this division.

Pacey and tall striker, right + left midfielder, (we only got one in Dyer) CB, and a right defender. Left back good with consistant Bruno and Kennedy who looks a good prospect. Also please Sven terminate the contracts of Neilson and Lamey in January please along with that Yann bloke.

With 10m we could buy a decent ¾s of a first 11.

Or we could buy 3 or 4 top quality signings.

It's all down to Sven and what he makes of our team at the minute.

Bit harsh on Neilson isn't it Wymeswold? He's been solid this season.

Ericsson said we will go up this season, but we won't go up with Neilson's ability at right back which is alright but not great.

He's not even that good, he was hardly great in the Championship.

Obviously he's got potential but £10M for him is fooking ridiculous talk.

If the cash is as it appears I'd like to see us going back in for Jay Spearing, similar to the way we picked up Hobbs and Waghorn after loans. He was brilliant back end of last year and the lad we've missed in the 4-3-3 formation this term.

whether or not that's true is debatable, but regardless there's no guarantee that he would fit into the style of game sven will play.

he suited pearson's type of football, sven probably won't even go 433

Spearing's youth and energy would be more than welcome.

His age can only be a good thing as he will be open to advice from the likes of Powell & Co., besides you'd think he is still trying to find his game anyway.

His enthusiasm shone through for me and he really seemed to enjoy his relatively short stay here.

A good aquisition.
