At least if Wes Brown is coming, it won't be too difficult to come up with a chant for him.

I'm pretty sure I saw a couple of Fosse Boys scarves among the EDL on the news lol

Not a chance with Ambrose, just signed a new deal I think. Don't think Wheater would come here either, but I reckon the other 2 are good shouts.

We had Lansbury in the bag one a season long loan, but the club fooked him about with wages so the deal collapsed.

Eriksson: Eyeing promotion

SKY SPORTS

Leicester's new owners have told Sven Goran Eriksson they are prepared to bankroll a promotion push.

The Swede was drafted in by the Thai consortium now in charge at the Walkers Stadium to help the club in their efforts to return to the Premier League.

Eriksson's arrival has helped to raise the Foxes' profile, but he will be judged on his ability to generate results on the field.

The former England boss knows he has work to do if he is to turn Leicester into top flight material, with the club having endured a difficult start to the 2010/11 campaign.

He has, however, been assured by the new owners that money will be made available to help him in his quest to take the Foxes back into the big time.

Eriksson said: "I asked the owner how much money he will put on the table to help to take the club to the Premier League. The answer was: 'You tell me how much you need'. That's good!

"We can start working now. We can't buy any players until January, but maybe we can take one or two on loan until the end of December."

Sounds good, look like they are pretty desperate to get into the prem...

Anyone know why the Ipswich has a 5:20 KO?

Spend 4 million pounds on a decent right back and a winger.

And the rest....

We can rebuild him. Stronger. Faster...

As if 6 mill would be enough to rebuild the tunch.

i've seen a fair few sky games at saturday tea time, basically if you're on sky, you play where ever they can fit you into the schedule.

Agreed! Only seen a few glimpses of him but from what I've read and seen he looks superb. He looks like he'd suit our style of football too.

yeah, imagine lloyd dyer, with a cross and a great footballing brain.

a norwegian city fan me and haraven were talking to suggested that we tried to get him before and he wanted to come, but something ballsed it up - no idea where he got this from, but he is a brann fan, so might have heard something.

hopefully sven wants some nordic buddies in his team. i'm sure he'd cost less than we paid for waghorn.

Sven Goran Eriksson targets Fulham's John Pantsil as one of his first signings at Leicester

Oct 9 2010 by Hotline, The People

LEICESTER are lining up a cheeky bid for John Pantsil in January.

The Ghanaian right back, 29, is out of favour with Fulham boss Mark Hughes and new Foxes’ chief Sven Goran Eriksson is ready to swoop.

‘Sparky’ will sell for around £2million.

Pantsil ..

Doesn't inspire me.

silly name ,

and why are they always called "cheeky bids " ?

2 million doesn't sound fookin cheeky to me

My thoughts exactly. 2 mill is a big wod of money regardless of whether its a "cheeky bid" or not. I think we could look elsewhere!

What kind of feeble Norwegians would we be if we didn't try to ship our blonde vikings across the sea to England?

Who wouldn't want this:

Huseklepp had a good game and a really nice assist against Cyprus last night as well. His form has really been far more consistent on the national team than at club level this season, but then, his club is struggling and Norway is going through a major winning streak since the second coming of Professor Drillo, our great prophet coach.

It pretty soon becomes "now or never" for this guy, and it doesn't seem like the bidders are queuing up, so I'm fairly sure he would consider an offer from Leicester, especially now that the Super-Swede and his promised stacks of cash has arrived.

Rumor has it that his current contract has a clause about automatic approval of a specific minimum transfer fee, although such clauses are not allowed by the Norwegian FA, so you really can't go out publicly with that sort of information.

This seasons top scorer in Norway, Moa Abdellaoue, was recently sold to the German Bundesliga club Hannover where he has been a success so far. They allegedly paid around £ 1.5 m. for him, so I can see Huseklepp as being somewhat less expensive due to his clubs financial status, his lower goal ratio and the fact that he is slighty older than Abdellaoue.

Wouldn't mind if we bought Tromsø right back and Norway international Tom "Sausage-Tom" Høgli either. That guy can tackle! Less pricey than Huseklepp too I imagine.

Sven-Göran Eriksson used to go to dance nights at local community centres in Norway in his youth, so I'm very certain that he has a soft spot for the Norwegian ladies. Let's just hope he swings both ways
