Best live lounge ever. Set the standard Also agree with the futureheads hounds of love.brilliant
orangecity23 Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 A lot of covers I like in this thread. Here's a few more I like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8CWN4qVqrg Someone already posted Hurt by Johnny Cash, so I've picked another cover from his American Sessions. He did a good cover of Desperado too, but I've already got 1 Eagles cover in this post.
martys000 Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Johnny Cash's version of Hurt, originally by Nine Inch Nails. All time fav. for me
Part Of The Crowd Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8oFlXnnwKI&feature=related This band are unbelievable, don't know how I haven't heard of them before recently.
B52 Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Red hot chilli peppers - Higher ground/If you want me to stay Joe Cocker - The letter/Unchain my heart/Summer in the city The Troggs - Good vibration Jeff Healey - While my guitar gently weeps Dread Zeppelin - Your time is gonna come Here are a few favourites for different reasons. Sometimes it's not only the quality but the mood you're in.
shen Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Red hot chilli peppers - Higher ground Jeff Healey - While my guitar gently weeps Good calls
David Guiza Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Noel Gallagher - There is a Light That Never Goes Out Only cover I've ever heard that comes even close to The Smiths Gary Jules - Mad World
Raw Dykes Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Another excellent cover of a song by the Cars: Johnny Cash (again) covering Soundgarden: The Bird and the Bee released an album entirely made up of Hall & Oates covers last year. It rocks! It's called Interpreting the Masters Volume 1: A Tribute to Daryl Hall and John Oates. If you can get hold of the Japanese version, do, because it has a bonus track (that isn't a cover) called 4th of July - fantastic song. Here's my favourite track off it that is a cover: Richard Cheese deserves a mention, I think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1U15U3IEBxA
David Guiza Posted 22 September 2011 Posted 22 September 2011 Pretty much every Johnny Cash cover is sublime.
