BoneDog Posted 15 December 2011 Posted 15 December 2011 I like this cover especially for the "Dooo Doooo Doo Do Do Doooo" chimes right at the start. Could sample them all day if I was a music maker.
purpleronnie Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8W9rPxxnP4 One of my fave covers, a truly beautiful song too.
The Doctor Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 spectacular use of a tree branch for a mic Now then, in terms of serious responses, this isn't half bad:
Trav Le Bleu Posted 18 January 2012 Posted 18 January 2012 Was just thinking, surely every time an orchestra plays some classical music, surely that's a cover version?

Trav Le Bleu Posted 20 March 2012 Posted 20 March 2012 I quite like this version. It is an abomination.

BoneDog Posted 25 August 2012 Posted 25 August 2012 Not a favourite but I heard it yesterday and had a bit of a party, especially at the instrumental bit.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 18 February 2013 Posted 18 February 2013 This little gem. Written by Mike Nesmith (of the Monkees) and made famous by Linda Ronstadt. But this is superb!
separator Posted 8 June 2013 Posted 8 June 2013 Heard this on Jo Whiley's Radio 2 show recently, thought it was great http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qf34xUAVnQw Some other favourites http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtmS2ePSSdU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2_41H1Mtsk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zN7q8PInMYI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XMwilXdi-I
The Horse's Mouth Posted 9 June 2013 Posted 9 June 2013 Leona Lewis' Run originally done by Snow Patrol immediately comes to my mind. Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah originally by Leonard Cohen. Johnny Cash's version of Hurt, originally by Nine Inch Nails. The latter moves me so much. This for sure.
