Sleeping with the enemy

I know he got us to the play offs, I know he did well for us but what was with the Pearson man-live at full time.

We need to stop living in the past and support our current team and manager: we made more noise for pearson than for the lads at the end.

Rant over.

I know what you mean but I think you're exaggerating.

Everyone else had departed down the tunnel and there was a single verse of "there's only 1 nigel pearson" with applause. Hardly a showing of man-love, and certainly not what you've made it out to be.

If most fans had their way Pearson would still be Leicester manager. His departure was neither expected nor wanted.

He was one of the best managers we've had since O'Neil and a show of appreciation on his FIRST return to the club is hardly living in the past or for that matter an indication of 'Man love'.

Surly after the disappointment of drawing and the reverting back to long ball you could find something more fitting to moan about.

It was his first time he came back since his departure so it was inevitable he would get a warm reception. Next time we play him, it'll just be meh....just another run-of-the-mill game.

Im sure people have moved on now and nobody won't give Pearson a second look next time he comes to the Walkers - whether its with Hull or another club matters not.

I think it'll depend on how well we're doing at the time, and how happy people our with the manager.

Well you add to it when you start another topic on him when there's a perfectly good one around to state your case.

He took us from an ageing old team, car-crash of a club to a young team full of potential who in 2 years achieved promotion and play-offs. He did his job and did it succesfully and I was more than happy to applaud him. He was forced out, we should be singing 'Mandaric is a w*nker'.

I totally agree!

Couldn't quite believe it myself. What is it with our fans? He was our manager and is no more. He chose to leave, his comments of, "they could have kept me but they didn't, and they could have stopped other clubs talking to me but they didn't don't wash with me. He, chose to leave, his choice.

Wonder what our manager and team thought?

He was a great manager for us for the 2 years he was in charge before he was pushed out and deserved to be appreciated for his work. You could tell by his reaction to the "one Nigel Pearson" song that he still has a place for Leicester in his heart.

Tried to clap him when the bus arrived, but he had his back to the window. Clapped him when he got off like most people there, but he didn't do anything. He's like that though, I can remember the Sheffield Wednesday fans singing to him when he got off of the Leicester bus at Hillsbrough and he didn't do anything.

I like him as a manager, what he did for Leicester. He gave us two years of enjoyment and therefore I clapped him.

Thats all. I probably won't do it again because yesterday was his return. I think thats why fans were singing him name because it was his return, not sure if it will happen the next time he comes back.

He was our manager and he was fantastic, I respect him for that. Lets move on though, and he didn't overshadow Ericksson and thats fine.

IMO,

Didn't send us wild when he joined us at the lowest point in our history and that's taken into account Taylor,Pleat and the 1977 team (luckily i was only 12) and he changed us around, i don't expect us to win every week but i do expect us to try we don't get paid for our passion and the life sentence we have for OUR club for this addiction there is no cure. Pearson restored our pride and probably took us as far as he could, the reason being our new owners clearly wanted Sven as manager , our Thai owners clearly mean business and Sven clearly opens doors for us that have always been closed and that includes MON in all our glory.

So for me at the end of the game it was fit and proper that his spell at the club was acknowledged he was given the respect he deserved and in return he showed us the respect we deserve a fitting goodbye and now onwards and upwards.

I stayed after the final whistle and met him outside the ground. I shook his hand and said thankyou for all he did in his time at the club. He said he was extremely humbled by the reception that he got by Leicester fans. In fact he looked very emotional when he got in his car.

It wasn't over-the-top, an acknowledgment when everyone had left the pitch.

Vritually nothing during the game. Hume had a bigger reception when he returned.

the RL wank-a-thon was doing my head in a bit pre-game, they were hyping him up as an all time great, he was here 2 season, that's all, yes he did a very good job and deserved a warm reception but that's it now for me, he's just another manager

I won't lie, he is deserving on man-love.
