CloudFox Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Being reported under the gossip section on the BBC website, sourcing the Daily Mail: Ritchie De Laet? What do we think? Would be a good signing methinks, but how necessary is this? Hobbs partnering Davies with Vitor and Morrison covering seems at the very least adequate numbers at CB for the moment, and I would have thought a right winger and/or striker might have been a slightly greater priority Then again, it is just a rumour, and God knows how many players we're going to be linked with before the end of the January Transfer window
Ozwin Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Always get him on loan on my FM and he's decent on there. That's all I know about him.

teblin Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 My guess is that sven is looking for alternatives in case we cant keep davies.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Ritchie Ria Alfons De Laet (born 28 November 1988) is a Belgian footballer who plays as a defender for English side Sheffield United on loan from Manchester United. He is able to play anywhere across the back four.
kimsalabim Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 He can play anywhere in defence I think. At least this is the case on FM10

The Doctor Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 This thread should be DeLaeted! -1, absolutely terrible.
MPH Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 My guess is that sven is looking for alternatives in case we cant keep davies. I think. You are right. Not sure if you saw the lcfc.com interview with him but he basically said that houllier wanted him to go somewhere to get a few games so he could have a look at him. I would be suprised if are able to extend his loan. I like morrison. But to ask him , in 2 seasons, to go from playing non league football to putting in the performances to get us out of the championship is a big ask. He'll come good one day for sure but training alongside the like of Davies will only help him. So. Yeah. De leat as a replacement for Davies when he has to go will be good.
davieG Posted 4 November 2010 Posted 4 November 2010 http://www.manchesterunited.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=219822 On loan at Sheffield United, the Belgian defender had been widely tipped to become a Leicester City player with the ex-England boss, Sven Goran Eriksson keen to secure a deal for him. However, having lost Chris Morgan for the remainder of the season, through injury, the Sheffield United boss, Gary Speed, is now keen to prolong the deal he currently has with Manchester United. Our guess is that he`ll probably get his wish! Read more: http://www.manchesterunited.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=219822#ixzz14L6Niget
