I dont like stating the obvious... But clearly you haven't got a clue what you are talking about.

No offence Babylon and I don't know you from Adam but I've read your comments on and off over the past couple or three seasons and you clearly don't know when a manager has run their course at our club and needs to be replaced. I too am a fan of consistency and without it success is not possible. However, we need consistency with the RIGHT manager in place. Both Sousa and Holloway were not right for the club and for me that was clear quite quickly.

Regarding Sven.... I know that he can attract good players and he is now fortunate to have the funds to be able to pay their wages. Curtis Davis and Vassell are good examples. However, I remain unconvinced that Sven is going to be the right manager for the club in terms of what I perceive to be his lack of motivational skills. I have met Sven and without a doubt he is a well-educated, politely spoken and genuine bloke. However, I believe that he is unable to give the lads the proverbial 'kick-up-the-arse' that is sometimes needed. I also think he is a one-trick pony and has consistently been unable to revert to a 'plan b' if 'plan a' is proving unsuccesful. A point which, I believe, was echoed by the majority of Man City fans when Sven was at the helm at Eastlands. If Leicester becomes succesful under Sven I am guessing it will be more about money and Sven's reputation than about his management skills. However, I'm more than prepared to give him the chance and will back him to the hilt.

That's Dan Fazackerley's job

Pretty much agree with every word JME posted.

We should have won...however thats football.

5 points off the play-offs. We will be in the mix come April/May.

From another forum:

The first half was as bad, if not worse than anything of the shambles at the start of the season, thankfully we just didn't concede. If Leicester had a decent striker they would, and should have been out of sight. When we went to 4 4 2 in the second half we were much better and started to carry a threat and it was nice to see Brett get off the mark.

The Leicester City fans were the best bunch we've had down this season by a long way.

Clearly our fans are great :D:scarf: But need a big guy upfront with pace.

Not sure why the fans would need pace, a load voice would be more useful.tongue.png

You may have read my comments, but you have obviously forgotten what the posts said and when they were posted.

I don't believe I made any comments about Holloway, other than to say if we sacked him I don't think it would make the slightest difference. We had so much negativity around the club we were on a one way ticket out of the league in my opinion at the time. I never kept backing him saying he was going to turn it around, I'd had enough of Leicester come January due to all the manager changes and shit going on I rarely commented on him.

As for Sousa, I agreed right from the start that it doesn't look good. Find Ric Flairs thread slagging him off after about three games and I said a agreed with almost everything he said. What I didn't agree with the slagging the manager off and creating a bad atmosphere so soon into their tenure, it's not something I will do.

I will ALWAYS stick to my opinion that you need to give a manager a chance... In my book a chance does not constitute 2, 3, 4, games. So yes I would have been vocal about it being silly to sack him after 2/3 games, and I would be again because it's bloody ludicrous no matter what's going on. Doesn't mean I thought he was any bloody good!!!

What I will also do, is stick up for a manager when people are slagging him off about something that a) isn't his fault or b) there is no proof of. Don't think just because I stick up for a manager in places it means I think they are great. It just means I believe they should be flogged about things that are actually their fault, not made up crap (which there is a lot of on here).

I have said time and time again that I try to look at it from the boards point of view. Taking into account costs of pay offs, how long they have had, possible replacements etc etc. Not just "we're not playing well after three games, sacked him" like most do on here.

I said Kelly should go after we got investment... He did.

I picked a date the board would give Levein until... I was 3 days out (i picked the date months before).

I said Holloway should go after we got relegated... he did.

I said Sousa would get 10 games... he got 9.

I'd say I've been pretty close on what the BOARD would do, which is the perspective I try to look from as I have said before.

Lets look at your comments in this thread about Sven. "I remain unconvinced that Sven is going to be the right manager for the club" then "However, I'm more than prepared to give him the chance".I would like to know what the difference is between that comment and the comments I made about Sousa?

super post - well thought out and so much better than some of the sarcasm you have given to many people on here when they have quickly become concerned about the various managers we have had, including myself.

Can't believe how racist the Bristol fans were being yesterday to be honest.

Chants along the lines of:

'Fook off back home, fook off back home, Leicester smells of curry, fook off back home'

and

'Where is your poppadom?'

Anyway, I thought that we were going to thrash them in the first half, is Steves peno would have gone in I think we would have to be fair.

Bring on the Forest!

Yep, we are mid-table, five points off the top six and five off the bottom three.

We responded to our previous defeat by collecting 10 points from the next four games, we can do that again.

Some interesting comments and views on Sven.

I think you have to accept that he is not the most inspirational of managers, more the 'prepare well, do your job' kind of guy. Hopefully Derek will supply the arse kicking when required.

Sven, is, in one way at least similar to MO'N, he is a 'big picture' manager, he lays out the way things will be, brings in the players to do the job and more or less lets them do it. Unlike MO'N, he is neither inspirational nor is he great at changing things during a game, I simply think we have to take his good points and hope that Derek F and Chrissy P can provide a degree of match day motivation.

But then the good points really are worth having, most importantly, players like to play for him, they will come to City because he is the manager, this is fantastic for us, gives our coaches a better standard of player to start with, in time I am sure it will pay dividends.

Agree, defo need a striker otherwise its gonna be a season of hanging around mid table.

Vassell will come good Adam!

Where the fook are leicester on the football league show because as usual im flicking through the iplayer like half a minute by half a minute and once again have somehow missed us because we only get like 2 seconds of highlights!

Who are we after/before?

Hi mate, as usual we only have a 5 second slot. We are in the 'championship' roundup matches (3 of them I think) before they move onto League 1.

That was comedy gold! And the mardy arsed groundsman telling chrissy p to get off the pitch was funny too.

Yuki's wave *almost* made the 2-0 defeat worthwhile
