Finnegan Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9247981.stm Blatantly want to use the word poofters during this interview?
Koke Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 There are usually only two type of players who wear glovers, neck warmers etc. 1. Players who come from warm countries i.e. Chamakh [Morocco], Kalou [ivory Coast], Tevez [Argentina] 2. Black players. Even the ones who are born & bred in this country wears them, which I find bizarre.
Ozwin Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Why is he bashing glove wearers? Nothing wrong with that really. The neck and tights thing I can agree with.
J.Lisemore Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Nothing wrong with wearing gloves, although i think that wearing these tights and neck warmers are a bit drastic. Personally I wouldn't go on a football pitch wearing tights, i'd simply warm myself up.
Jimothy Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Hardly a new thing. Our very own Keith Weller back in the 1970's wearing white tights.
ACF Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 I wear tights. Not gloves or neckwarmers. Tights are frigging comfy, and warm.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Why is he bashing glove wearers? Nothing wrong with that really. The neck and tights thing I can agree with. You show your age with that post - 10 to 15 years ago hardly anyone wore gloves but now its more common place. The debate about neck warmers etc is exactly the same as the one about gloves as they started to be seen more often in games. You see this all comes about as a result of protecting the 'gifted players' because now there are no real proper hardmen in the game that can just go around and kick lumps out of these fairies anymore they're allowed to get away with wearing all this crap!
FoxyPV Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 I wear tights. Not gloves or neckwarmers. Tights are frigging comfy, and warm. Why the fook do you need to wear tights in Melbourne?!
Suffolk_fox Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 I used to wear tights when out on patrols in the very cold weather, and yes they are bloody warm. A big hairy arsed Falklands veteran told me that piece of advice. But if I was running around a pitch? fook no way. If someone is cold on a football pitch, they ain't working hard enough. End of.
Daggers Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 http://news.bbc.co.u...all/9247981.stm Blatantly want to use the word poofters during this interview? Maybe he'd be better off spending his time sorting out his dreadful side and their woeful defending.
J.Lisemore Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Tights...TIGHTS? come on people...man up a bit.
Mikey Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Nothing wrong with gloves in my opinion. Scarves look good on certain players, but would never wear one. Tights = gay.
orangecity23 Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Lee Camp was sporting a pair of tights in the Forest game on Monday. What a tool.
davieG Posted 4 December 2010 Posted 4 December 2010 Lee Camp was sporting a pair of tights in the Forest game on Monday. What a tool. Acceptable for goalkeepers as the spend a lot of time on their knees, well he did against us and Howard
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 The scarves look retarded on any level, but someone like Tevez who has virtually no neck and a broad upper body looks less like a fuckwit than Chamakh. You can see the bottom of his neck sometimes, it's like a drainpipe. Not a good look Marouane. I've never worn gloves, don't see the need to keep my hands warm when I'm having a kick around tbh. Long as I have a shirt, shorts and socks on I'm fit.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Gone are the days when ya hands were cold ya just shove them down ya pants!
ACF Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Why the fook do you need to wear tights in Melbourne?! You've obviously never been to Melbourne It may be warm in the Summer, Winter is cold. Not England cold. Also at trainings it can get to about 4/5 degrees. We can have all 4 seasons in one day, like last week, starting off 28 and sunny, then flash flooding in the city, with strong wind.
Finnegan Posted 5 December 2010 Author Posted 5 December 2010 Nothing wrong with gloves in my opinion. Scarves look good on certain players, but would never wear one. Tights = gay. LOOK GOOD!? What?! Who gives a shit what looks good on them!?
Narborough_fox Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Sacrves and Tights are just ridiculous. Someone at my football club plays in his sisters leggings which well is just pandsy-ish.
ACF Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Sacrves and Tights are just ridiculous. Someone at my football club plays in his sisters leggings which well is just pandsy-ish. At least my tights are the Nike-Pro ones.
Mikey Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 LOOK GOOD!? What?! Who gives a shit what looks good on them!? Quite a few people.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 Who gives a shit? Would you rather your player stands and plays in weather which makes him pissing cold, focusing more on how much he's feeling the chill than playing football, or in a couple of extra pieces of clothing which make said player more comfortable and can focus on the match? Such a macho thing, it's quite pathetic. Not everyone is a hardcore man who can wipe his arse with sandpaper and withstand cold weather conditions.
Mee Posted 5 December 2010 Posted 5 December 2010 I wear tights. Not gloves or neckwarmers. Tights are frigging comfy, and warm. Tight's and an audition for a 'Glee' sort of competition....people will start to make conclusions buddy .

Yes, I'm sure they have such a dramatic influence How does it possibly effect focus? Pathetic. Players are supposed to be running around giving it 100% for 90+ minutes, not walking around in a scarf and gloves. Its a sport for a reason.
