Dr The Singh Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Are the leaks just western related or does the website also leak documents from countries like Iran and Yemen? .............................and by western I don't mean are they about Jesse James There have been linksreleased regarding the indian sub continent and china, nothing too outlandish, most leaks confirmed many a known truth eg indian government run by hindu nazi's elements, driven propaganda against minorities and happily aided and abetted the massacre of minority groups such muslims and sikhs etc, pakistan government aided and trained religious fanatics!!
Houdini Logic Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Imagine being stupid enough to try and stitch up the founder of a 'leaks' website. I can't wait for the day that the wikileaks guys get some gossip on this

Trav Le Bleu Posted 17 December 2010 Author Posted 17 December 2010 You know for certain that he's innocent then? He is until proven guilty.
Webbo Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 He is until proven guilty. Lets give that benefit of the doubt to his accusers as well then.
Daggers Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Lets give that benefit of the doubt to his accusers as well then. The case has already been dropped once for lack of evidence. No new evidence has been presented.
Webbo Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 The case hasn't been dropped, he could still be extradited. I don't know if he's guilty or not but these are serious charges that shouldn't just be dismissed because some people agree with what he's done.

Source If there's no evidence then he'll be found not guilty. A bit ironic him complaining that the Swedish prosecutors had leaked his name.
Houdini Logic Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 If there's no evidence then he'll be found not guilty. ...again
Houdini Logic Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 again what? I wish finishing off your sentence
Webbo Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 I wish finishing off your sentence I'm still not certain what you mean but if you mean he's already been found not guilty then not being charged is not the same as not guilty. He might be innocent he might not be, but unless anybody here was a witness to the said offences then none of us actually know. Lets wait and see.
l444ry Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Apparently, one of the women is a member of a CIA funded anti-Castro group.
Zingari Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Apparently, one of the women is a member of a CIA funded anti-Castro group. i thought you were joking !! http://my.firedoglake.com/kirkmurphy/2010/12/04/assanges-chief-accuser-has-her-own-history-with-us-funded-anti-castro-groups-one-of-which-has-cia-ties/ Apparently having consensual sex in Sweden without a condom is punishable by a term of imprisonment of a minimum of two years for rape. That is the basis for a reinstitution of rape charges against WikiLeaks figurehead Julian Assange that is destined to make Sweden and its justice system the laughing stock of the world and dramatically damage its reputation as a model of modernity. Sweden’s Public Prosecutor’s Office was embarrassed in August this year when it leaked to the media that it was seeking to arrest Assange for rape, then on the same day withdrew the arrest warrant because in its own words there was “no evidence”. The damage to Assange’s reputation is incalculable. More than three quarters of internet references to his name refer to rape. Now, three months on and three prosecutors later, the Swedes seem to be clear on their basis to proceed. Consensual sex that started out with a condom ended up without one, ergo, the sex was not consensual.
Daggers Posted 17 December 2010 Posted 17 December 2010 Yet in Assange’s case his alleged victim – the gender equity officer at Uppsala University – chose to throw a party for her alleged assailant – after they’d had the sex that even Swedish prosecutors concede was consensual.
Mack Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 The only things missing from this charade are Max 'bouffant' Clifford a Blonde bimbo and footballer with a high court super injunction. Assange is enjoying all the attention a little too much for my liking, and is all too happy to let the story revolve around him rather than the areas of this saga that truly are important. I wonder if this really is about freedom of information or Assange's own chapter in the history books.
BoneDog Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Sounds like a few folk at wikileaks don't like the way he's handling/controlling everything and left the organisation because of Julian. Unpublished Iraq War Logs Trigger Internal WikiLeaks Revolt The text of the chat at the end of the report is interesting.

I'd have thought you would have been more interested in the Wikileaks revelations of the British Government's attempts to get Press TV banned, Empty.
BoneDog Posted 30 December 2010 Posted 30 December 2010 I'd have thought you would have been more interested in the Wikileaks revelations of the British Government's attempts to get Press TV banned, Empty. I didn't know about that but it's not surprising! It's a good channel - now and then they have an excellent documentary on and you do get to see some news reports that we don't see on our usual news channels. That bald geezer who does the reports on Press TV from South Korea really knows his stuff. This one's an interesting one to me because I saw a video a few years back about how Honey Bees are disappearing. Once the Bees go we're doomed! Monsanto want our natural seeds taken away and replaced with GM and they will stop at nothing until mission is complete! Wikileaks Uncovers Gov. Bee Killing
Benji Posted 24 February 2011 Posted 24 February 2011 In case anyone is bored and looking for something to do, his extradition hearing decision can be read in full. Might read refreshingly from any media interpretation (I've not read it yet). http://www.judiciary.gov.uk/media/judgments/2011/jud-authority-sweden-v-assange
Guest MattP Posted 20 June 2012 Posted 20 June 2012 Well nothing says "I'm innocent" like turning up at the Ecuadorian embassy trying to claim Political asylum from that barbaric state of Sweden.
21st Century Fox Posted 20 June 2012 Posted 20 June 2012 According to published reports, the charges Sweden has lodged against Assange involve two different women. Their initial intention was reportedly to force Assange to take an HIV test. There are four charges: that on 14 August 2010 he committed "unlawful coercion" when he held complainant 1 down with his body weight in a sexual manner; that he "sexually molested" complainant 1 when he had condom-less sex with her after she insisted that he use one; that he had condom-less sex with complainant 2 on the morning of 17 August while she was asleep; and that he "deliberately molested" complainant 1 on 18 August 2010 by pressing his erect penis against her body.
Guest MattP Posted 20 June 2012 Posted 20 June 2012 Pervert. In all seriousness, it's very bizarre, the evidence looks fairly flimsy to say the least and then he goes and does this, he's made a lot of his friends and supporters who are going to lose fortunes now look pretty silly.
